All-Big 12 honoree played each of the last four seasons at Oklahoma; Led Las Vegas’ Clark HS to the state championship game before going to college

The UNLV men’s basketball program has received a signed commitment from Jalen Hill to join the Runnin’ Rebels for the 2023-24 season, head coach Kevin Kruger announced Thursday.
Hill joins Keylan Boone and Kalib Boone as the three new student-athletes who have committed to the Runnin’ Rebels in the last two days.
Hill, a 6-foot-6-inch transfer originally from Las Vegas, played each of the last four seasons at Oklahoma (2019-23).
“We are very excited to be able to add Jalen to our program,” Kruger said. “He brings great experience and production, and will provide us with versatility on both ends of the floor. He can guard multiple positions and has the ability to score in a variety of ways. He improved each year that he was at Oklahoma and we look forward to that continuing here at UNLV.”
Hill started 67 games over the last two seasons for the Sooners and averaged 9.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, while making 49.8% of his shots from the field as a senior this past season (started all 32 games).
He earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors after tallying 14 games with double figures in scoring during the 2022-23 season. He scored a career-high 26 points in January against No. 1 Alabama.
Hill was the 2019 Gatorade Nevada Boys Basketball Player of the Year and led Las Vegas’ Clark High School to the state championship game as a senior.
He chose UNLV over Texas, Miami, West Virginia and Arkansas, among others.
