Event proceeds will fund research to find a cure for diabetes and its complications

JDRF, the leading non-profit organization in the area of type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, will host the 2014 Hope Gala at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino on Friday, May 9, 2014. The Gala, which begins at 6 p.m., will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, exceptional silent and live auctions, and live entertainment.

This year JDRF is proud to honor Matt and Kami Smith of Matt Smith Physical Therapy, for their steadfast support of JDRF and their many contributions to the Las Vegas community. “My wife Kami and I, along with our entire team at Matt Smith Physical Therapy, have been longtime supporters of JDRF and its amazing efforts both locally and nationally,” said JDRF 2014 Honoree Matt Smith. “JDRF’s phenomenal efforts and research are allowing our world to become a step closer to eradicating type 1 diabetes from our lives. This event, which has been recognized for its unique décor and fun atmosphere, attracts more than 750 guests each year.
