JEFF MITCHUM PARTNERS WITH FAME & PHILANTHROPY FOR INAUGURAL ACADEMY AWARDS FUNDRAISER

Charity Event to Feature James Cameron and Benefit Community Inspiring Today’s Youth March 2

Renowned landscape photographer, Jeff Mitchum, is partnering with Fame & Philanthropy for a charity event Sunday, March 2 at The Vineyard Beverly Hills during the Academy Awards. The inaugural fundraiser is in support of Community Inspiring Today’s Youth (CITY), an organization that is helping today’s youth by providing programs on education, mentorship and entrepreneurship.

“I’m honored to support such a fantastic event,” said Mitchum. “As a self-taught photographer who is still inspired by his childhood mentor, I completely understand how the words of a single person or the actions of a community can influence a young person. The time we take and the small decisions we make today can make a great impact on many generations to come.”

Harnessing the power of celebrity, the black-tie event hopes to raise as much as possible for CITY in order for the organization to continue to cultivate pre-teens and teens and provide them with the necessary tools to reach their entrepreneurial goals. Beginning at 8 p.m., celebrity guest appearances will include Charlize Theron, a musical performance by Ne-Yo, and a keynote address by film industry mogul and Academy Award winner, James Cameron. There will also be a unique dinner designed by a celebrity chef and a live auction.
