LA STREGA IMPLEMENTS PERMANENT FIXTURES, POP-UPS AND SPECIALTY MENUS LASTING THROUGH THE WINTER SEASON
La Strega’s Executive Chef and Managing Partner Gina Marinelli is rolling out an impressive roster of Winter-long programming to carry guests through the season.

Executive Chef Gina Marinelli’s secret sandwich shop has evolved into a permanent fixture at the Summerlin coastal Italian eatery. On Thurs., Jan. 14, a fast-casual concept known as Piccola Strega launched out of the side of the restaurant, where diners can enjoy Roman-style piadines, salads, accoutrements, Piccola Aperol spritzes and a featured wine list served curbside. The lunch-focused menu is available Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and can be ordered in advance for curbside pickup or takeout by calling (702) 722-2099.
La Strega Pescheria
Executive Chef Gina Marinelli is launching a Sunday pescheria at La Strega on Sun., Jan. 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fish market will feature a crudo bar showcasing a variety of raw seafood, broths and accoutrements, alongside a full wine list as well as coffee, rosé, champagne and handcrafted cocktails available for purchase. Marinelli will be available for cooking demos throughout the day, and will provide take-home instructions for shoppers to best prepare their selections at home. The market will be a limited engagement and will continue through the Winter season.
The Big Game
Elevate your Big Game Viewing Party with a game day take-home package curated by Executive Chef Gina Marinelli of La Strega. Each kit will include a choice of four (4) Roman-Style Piadines served alongside The Sciani Salad, Parmesan Chips, and Strega Pickles ($65.00). Game day packages can be ordered in advance as early as Mon., Jan. 25 by calling 702-722-2099, and can be picked up curbside on game day, Sun., Feb. 7 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
La Strega’s Executive Chef Gina Marinelli has designed a tasting menu for lovers that will be available throughout the weekend on Fri., Feb. 12, Sat., Feb. 13, and Sun., Feb. 14. The San Valentino five-course menu’s inspiration is drawn from the Northeast Italian region of Friuli, with coastal and Slovenian influences. Reservations are required by calling 702-722-2099 with seatings from 5:00pm to 9:30pm.

Chinese New Year
La Strega’s team of master-mixologists have created a cocktail surrounding the Chinese New Year that is available from Feb. 10 to Feb. 19. The Bull in a China Shop is a variation of the classic China Blue cocktail, and is made with vodka, lychee liqueur, Blue Curacao, grapefruit, lime, cane, brandy cherry and a splash of club soda.
- ¼ oz of Cane
- ½ oz Lime
- ¾ oz Fresh grapefruit juice
- ¾ oz Blue Curacao
- 1oz Vodka
- 1oz Lychee liqueur
- Highball glass + orange half moon and cherry garnish
Gather the ingredients, shaker tin, and jiggers for measuring each ingredient. Using the smaller tin, begin to build out the drink. When all ingredients are in the tin, add ice to fill the smaller tin and the highball. Use the larger tin to create a seal. Shake the drink. Open the tin and double strain into the highball glass that has been prepped with ice. Add a splash of soda, garnish, and enjoy.
