The Las Vegas 51s PROFESSIONAL baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open an eight-game homestand on Tuesday, May 8 against the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the 2017 World Series champion Houston Astros, at Cashman Field at 7:05 p.m. The four-game series against the Grizzlies will conclude on Friday, May 11 (all games at 7:05 p.m.). The 51s will then host the Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, in a four-game series from Saturday-Tuesday, May 12-15. The series will feature 7:05 p.m. games except for Sunday, May 13 (Mother’s Day) at 12:05 p.m.

The 51s, under first-year manager Tony DeFrancesco, are currently on a four-game road trip in Salt Lake City, Utah against the Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. The trip will conclude on Monday, May 7.

The 51s organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada.

2018 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE: In 16 dates, Las Vegas total is 94,441 for an average of 5,903. The season-high crowd through three homestands is 9,003 vs. Fresno on April 20. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 mark in “home” attendance in all 35 seasons (1983-2017). The all-time attendance total now stands at 11,763,228.

MiLB Es Divertido Ser Un Fan – “It’s Fun To Be A Fan Campaign!” The 51s will transform to the Las Vegas Reyes de Plata (“Silver Kings”) eight times during the 2018 season at Cashman Field. The opening game and the finale of the homestand (Tuesday, May 8 & 15) will feature Reyes de Plata! The remaining dates are: May 29, June 5, July 24, August 21, August 28.

MiLB (on July 24, 2017) launched Es Divertido Ser Un Fan, a new multi-cultural fan engagement platform aimed at specifically connecting with Hispanic/Latino baseball fans in 160 markets throughout the U.S. and Canada. The program debuted in August of 2017 in select MiLB markets, including Las Vegas, Charlotte, North Carolina; Kane County, Illinois; and Visalia, California, with national expansion in the 2018 season. The Las Vegas Reyes de Plata will take the field celebrating the city and state’s pioneering history at the forefront of the precious metal mining business that continues to define the Silver State today.

Budweiser Dollar Beer Night, presented by Laughlin, will be featured in game three of the series against Fresno on Thursday, May 10 at 7:05 p.m. Dollar Beer Night will be featured at every Thursday home game during the 2018 season. Proper identification and wristbands are required for dollar beer night.

A spectacular post-game Fireworks Show, presented by Findlay Toyota, will be featured in the finale of the series on Friday, May 11. The “Fireworks” shows will be featured at every Friday home game throughout the 2018 campaign.

Amed Rosario 51s Replica Jersey Night, presented by UMC of Southern Nevada, will be given out to the first 2,500 fans through the gates, in the series opener against Albuquerque on Saturday, May 12. The gates will open at 6 p.m.

Rosario, the starting shortstop for the Mets, was ranked as the 2017 Top Prospect in the Mets minor league system, according to Baseball America. In 2017, Rosario appeared in 94 games for Las Vegas and batted .328 (129-for-393) with 19 doubles, 7 triples, 7 home runs, 58 RBI and 19 stolen bases. He was the recipient of the 2017 Mayor’s Trophy, MVP as voted on by the fans.

He then made his Major League debut with New York. He appeared in 46 games and batted .248 with 12 extra-base hits and 10 RBI.

WestStar Credit Union “Winning Wednesday” will be featured SEVEN times during the 2018 season. The remaining dates are: May 9 vs. Fresno; June 6 vs. New Orleans; July 25 vs. Nashville; August 22 vs. Salt Lake; August 29 vs. Tacoma.

If the 51s WIN, fans can redeem their tickets for a future Sunday through Tuesday “home” game (excluding Tuesday, July 3 – Fireworks Extravaganza). In addition, each “WestStar Winning Wednesday,” one lucky fan will also be randomly selected to be the WestStar Winner of the Game! The winning fan will receive an autographed baseball from a 51s player, a seat upgrade for their group, and the opportunity to become the guest PA announcer for a half-inning that night!

“Yoga on the Field”/SUNdays at the Ballpark, presented by lululemon & Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada will be featured on Mother’s Day (May 13) against Albuquerque in the matinee contest at 12:05 p.m. In addition, all children will have the opportunity to “Run the Bases” after the contest (with proper shoe attire).

Game three of the four-game series against the Isotopes on May 14 will feature “Smith’s Value Menu Monday.” Monday “home” games will feature a “Value Menu” for the 10th straight season! The 51s and Centerplate have teamed together for discounted food items on Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Peanuts, Cracker Jack, Pretzels and Churros for just $1.00 per item.

Fresno’s roster features three of the top 10 prospects in the Astros organization, according to Baseball America: outfielder Kyle Tucker (No. 2); right-handed pitcher David Paulino (No. 9) and third baseman J.D. Davis (No. 10).

Albuquerque’s roster features one of the top 10 prospects in the Rockies organization, according to Baseball America: right-handed pitcher Yency Almonte (No. 7).

Following the homestand, the PCL has a scheduled off day on Wednesday, May 16. The 51s will then embark on an eight-game road trip beginning in the Pacific Northwest on Thursday, May 17 against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. The four-game series will conclude on Sunday, May 20. Las Vegas will also travel to Northern California to face the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, in a four-game series, from Monday-Thursday, May 21-24.

The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 ‘THE GAME’, which will carry live all 140 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the 10-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 19th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.

The individual game tickets for the 70-game home season are priced at $11.00 (reserved, $12.00-Day of Game); $14.00 (plaza, $15.00-Day of Game) and $17.00 (field, $18.00-Day of Game) & the blue dugout seats at $30.00 ($35-Day of Game). The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, field and reserved seats throughout the season.
