Cindy Blackman Santana and House of Blues headliner Carlos Santana have released the video for their version of the John Lennon and Yoko Ono-penned classic “Imagine.” View via Rolling Stone.

The song drops today and is featured on the first playlist from SongAid and WhyHunger’s ongoing effort to fight the global hunger crisis exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting today, each week SongAid will release new music from a growing list of contributing artists. Each time a fan listens to a SongAid song, the streaming proceeds will go to WhyHunger’s Rapid Response Fund. Content will be distributed through a partnership with leading music distribution company The Orchard and made available to fans listening on Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Apple Music and sharing on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

 

“Imagine” will also be featured on Cindy’s new album, “Give The Drummer Some,” which will be released in mid-September 2020 with songs that span the realm of jazz, rock, and funk and featuring Cindy’s incredible versatility both behind the kit and in front of the microphone.
