JDDRF KICKED OFF MONTH-LONG FOUNTAIN FUNDRAISER AT MIRACLE MILE SHOPS ON NOV.1
On Friday, Nov. 1, youth ambassadors and family members from the local JDRF chapter, the world’s largest supporter of type 1 diabetes research, gathered in front of Miracle Mile Shops’ blue fountain to kick off the retail center’s month-long fountain fundraiser. Afterwards, the group received complimentary tickets to V – The Ultimate Variety Show at V Theater courtesy of David Saxe Productions.
As part of its Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign, Miracle Mile Shops’ fountain displays a bold blue hue in between regularly-scheduled shows now through Saturday, Nov. 30. All change tossed into the popular water feature as well as the center’s indoor rainstorm will be donated to the local JDRF chapter. Additionally, throughout the month, Pampas Churrascaria Brazilian Grille is offering guests who make a $5 donation to JDRF a two-for-one dining special valid through the end of the month.
Miracle Mile Shops’ partnership with the Nevada Chapter of JDRF is part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing campaign, celebrating a year of change in 2013. In addition to monthly fountain fundraisers, the Caring, Giving, Changing campaign also raises funds for other programs and organizations through community sponsorships, additional partnerships and a number of cash and in-kind donations.
