Blackstreet’s rise to fame was rapid, with their self-titled debut LP reaching platinum success thanks to the popular singles “Booti Call” and “Before I Let You Go.” However, it was the group’s 1996 sophomore album, Another Level, which catapulted them through the pop stratosphere and featured the hit single “No Diggity” featuring Dr. Dre. The song burned up the charts reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. The album reached quadruple platinum status and would be their best-selling album to date.
Their third album, Finally, was release in 1999 included the single “Take Me There” which included cameos from Mya and Mase. The group disbanded shortly after and members ventured into other projects. In 2003, the group reunited for the album Level II.
