The innovative Web site brings designer fashions to store experience

Rent the Runway at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will open on Dec. 27, just in time for New Year’s Eve featuring a curated selection of dresses and accessories from over 190 designers including Badgley Mischka, Halston Heritage and RVN, among others. Rent the Runway, the leading destination for designer dress and accessory rentals, will unveil its first West Coast boutique inside the unique luxury resort and casino, The Cosmopolitan.

“Las Vegas is one of the only places on earth where it’s not only appropriate but pretty much required to wear something outrageous every night of the year,” said Jennifer Hyman, chief executive officer and co-founder of Rent the Runway. “Who better to get you into that gold sequined mini-dress than Rent the Runway? The Cosmopolitan serves as the perfect partner with its vibrant and see-and-be-seen atmosphere.”

“We continuously seek out partners who will help create new experiences for our guests and there is no better fit than Rent the Runway. It’s an innovative way to make a night even more special for Las Vegas, locals and visitors, – imagine a spectacular dress for every night of your visit without the commitment,” said Lisa Marchese, chief marketing officer of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. “And it simply makes business sense as our guests are savvy, heavy online users who care about looking great. Finding a way to integrate their online behavior with an offline retail experience is a new twist for this market and perfect to launch during the New Year’s Eve festivities.”

Rent the Runway at The Cosmopolitan will offer Same-Day Dress Rental inviting both visitors and locals to select a designer dress and return it before they depart. Customers will have the opportunity to shop from a “Cocktail Menu” of style options, such as The Manhattan, featuring floor-length and fabulous gowns, The Lemon Drop, featuring sweet silhouettes, and The Fireball, featuring sequins cocktail dresses, allowing women to play dress up in a city that is all about glitz and glamour. Guests may also place future rental orders at the Rent the Runway at The Cosmopolitan store. The shop will also offer group rental and bachelorette party packages as well as boozy brunch styling parties featuring a variety of beauty partners for the ultimate makeover.
