Respiratory Rally Provides a Breath of Fresh Air
Educational Seminar Scheduled in Conjunction with COPD Day
November 16, 2011
Southern Nevadans battling COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) will have the opportunity to learn more about the disease and how to treat it from a team of medical experts at next week’s Respiratory Rally.
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 8am to noon on the San Martin Campus of St. Rose Hospital, will kick off with a breakfast buffet and include vital information for COPD sufferers and their loved ones.
COPD is the 4th leading cause of death in the United States and includes incurable but treatable conditions like chronic bronchitis and emphysema. While it affects as many as 24 million Americans, there is not a great awareness concerning COPD which is why St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Southwest Medical Associates and the American Lung Association in Nevada have teamed up with other community leaders to organize the Respiratory Rally, which coincides with World COPD Day.
This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. To make a reservation to the Respiratory Rally, call 702-616-4900.
