Sam’s Town, Jokers Wild and Boyd Linen and Uniform Services Donate $15,000 to Three Charities
Boyd Gaming’s Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, Jokers Wild Casino and Boyd Linen and Uniform Services have contributed a total of $15,000 to three charities, in recognition of the properties’ company-leading performance in Boyd Gaming’s 2021 Giving the Boyd Way workplace giving campaign.
After achieving the highest percentage of team members participating in this year’s national fundraising campaign, Sam’s Town, Jokers Wild and Boyd Linen and Uniform Services received a “Giving the Boyd Way” campaign award and a prize to donate to the charity of their team members’ choice.
Team members at Sam’s Town selected the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation to receive a $10,000 donation. The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization offering more than 40 programs and services for critically ill children and their families as well as adults diagnosed with cancer in southern Nevada. Their mission is to work with the medical community to provide social, emotional, educational, financial, and psychological support services and programs to families of all children diagnosed with a life-threatening or critical illness, and adults diagnosed with cancer. Jokers Wild team members selected Three Square Food Bank to receive a $2,500 donation. Three Square Food Bank’s mission is to provide meals to families facing food insecurity in southern Nevada, while pursuing a hunger-free community. Every $1 donated to Three Square allows the organization to provide three meals to local residents in need.. Now through December 31, every dollar donated can be doubled, providing twice as many meals to families during Three Square’s Holiday Match Challenge Campaign. Team members at Boyd Linen and Uniform Services selected St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to receive a $2,500 donation. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
