Strip House at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino participates in Northwest Cherries’ Tree-to-Table campaign by adding several items featuring Rainier cherries to the menu on Monday, July 11 – National Rainier Cherry Day.

Strip House is one of 50 restaurants around the country participating in the Tree-to-Table campaign. Tree-to-Table pairs one restaurant from each state in the country with 30-pounds of Rainier cherries and tasks them with creating a dish that showcases the cherries.

Strip House Chef de Cuisine Dustin Rixey is serving up a special combination that highlights the delectably sweet nature of Rainier cherries. A Rainier cherry amuse-bouche starts things off with a puree of watermelon flesh, Rainier cherries, key lime juice, lime zest, simple syrup and mint. Double cut, grilled pork chops coated in a special Rainier cherry and roasted garlic glaze serve as a tempting entrée. Accompanying the chops is a Rainier cherry chutney made with pitted cherries, caramelized garlic and shallots, red wine vinegar and fresh thyme.

The Rainier cherry menu addition will be available by request exclusively on Monday, July 11 – National Rainier Cherry Day. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 702.737.5200.
