“BAZ – Star Crossed Love” Celebrates One-Year Anniversary at The Palazzo Las Vegas with Star-Studded Event

 

Acclaimed Las Vegas show, “BAZ – Star Crossed Love,” celebrated its one-year anniversary with a star-studded event on July 28. Along with originating cast member, Ruby Lewis, the entire cast dazzled from start to finish.

To commemorate the milestone, audience members were encouraged to dress up as their favorite “BAZ” character. With sparkles, fringe and the Champagne flowing, this was one party that lasted throughout the night. Notable guests included Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin, Barrett Foa (NCIS Los Angeles), and more.

Having welcomed back original cast member, Ruby Lewis on July 25, guests were awe-struck with a breathtaking performance from the Broadway star.

“The energy tonight was non-stop,” said Ruby Lewis, star of BAZ – Star Crossed Love, “I’m so glad I was able to rejoin the cast and celebrate the one year anniversary of this magical show.”

With emotional renditions of popular songs including “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Ray, “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody” by Fergie, and “When Doves Cry” by Prince, the production, which has been noted for “soaring performances” (Las Vegas Sun) and “the best vocals on the Strip!” (Vegas.com) features an ensemble cast and band.

“BAZ – Star Crossed Love,” a show five years in the making, is the creation of For The Record, a genre-bending theatrical company in Los Angeles with a vision of turning the soundtracks of iconic filmmakers into immersive theatrical concert experiences.

Santa Claus will not be the only star at Town Square Las Vegas’ annual holiday parade on Friday, Nov. 11. Clint Holmes, “BAZ – Star Crossed Love” and performers from Nevada Ballet Theatre will take center stage next to Santa’s House in Town Square Park before the start of the parade. Performances will begin at 5:30 p.m. with “BAZ – Star Crossed Love” followed by Nevada Ballet Theatre at 6 p.m. and Clint Holmes at 6:30 p.m. Santa’s arrival parade will start at 7 p.m. at The Green near Yard House and end at Santa’s house.

 

Clint Holmes is the star of “Clint Holmes: Between The Lines” at The Palazzo® Las Vegas. The show is the latest addition to The Palazzo Theatre and is a sonic tour de force that illustrates ties between the artist, song and inspiration for Holmes and his band. “BAZ – Star Crossed Love” at The Palazzo® is a new generation cabaret and high-energy movie-music mash-up that blends the world’s most iconic love stories as imagined by famed film visionary Baz Luhrmann.

 

Following the parade, Santa will light the 45-foot Christmas tree in Town Square Park and snow will begin to fall. Children can take photos with Santa Claus inside his Norman Rockwell-inspired house immediately following the tree lighting.

 

Photo reservations are required to see Santa after Friday, Nov. 11 and can be made online at www.TownSquareSanta.com. Photo appointments will begin on Saturday, Nov. 12 and will run through Friday, Dec. 23. A $20 deposit is required at the time of booking and will be applied toward photo purchase. Photos on Saturday, Dec. 24 will be walk-ins only and available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

 

This year, Town Square Las Vegas has partnered with Criss Angel’s foundation for pediatric cancer. Guests are able to donate to the nonprofit when booking their Santa Claus photos online. Johnny Crisstopher Children’s Charitable Foundation raises awareness for pediatric cancer and provides funds for research, treatment and ultimately a cure.

 

Town Square Las Vegas will continue its holiday tradition of fun events for the whole family. Highlights include:

 

Snow in the Square

Friday Nov. 11– Friday, Dec. 23

Town Square will spread holiday cheer in the form of snowflakes at Town Square Park. Snow in the Square shows are scheduled Monday – Thursday at 7 p.m. and Friday – Sunday at 7 and 8 p.m. Each show lasts 10 minutes and is choreographed to traditional holiday tunes.

 

Photos with Santa Claus

Saturday, Nov. 12 – Friday, Dec. 24

Children of all ages are invited inside Santa’s Norman Rockwell inspired house in Town Square Park for photos to help make this holiday season a memory that will last forever. Santa breaks for milk and cookies Monday – Saturday from 1 – 1:30 p.m. and 5 – 6 p.m. as well as Sunday from 2 – 3 p.m. Reservations are required to see Santa from Nov. 12 – Dec. 23. Reservations can be made at www.TownSquareSanta.com. Photos on Dec. 24 will be walk-ins only and available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

 

Claus & Paws Pet Photos

Wednesday, Nov. 16 – Wednesday, Dec. 21

Town Square visitors are invited to bring their four-legged friends to Santa’s house for a photo with Santa and treats every Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. The center requests that guests limit their pet photos to dogs and cats only. Holiday Nights & Lights Community Concerts

Thursday, Nov. 17 – Thursday, Dec. 22

Every Thursday night before Snow in the Square visit Town Square Park for entertaining community concerts. Local elementary through high school students will spread holiday cheer and will take center stage to perform harmonies ranging from school choirs to holiday musicals.

 

Noon Year’s Eve

Saturday, Dec. 31

Families are invited to celebrate the New Year at Town Square during Noon Year’s Eve on Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Festivities will take place in Town Square Park and will include an inflatable slide and rock wall, bounce houses, face painting and balloon artists. A DJ from 98.5 KLUC will provide a fun-filled count down and dance party music before toasting the Noon Year with flavorful juice boxes.
