Photos: Rappers Ice Cube & Tyga at TAO

Thursday evening, hip hop royalty Ice Cube kicked off Labor Day Weekend at TAO Nightclub. The rapper, actor and producer made the night into a family affair, joined by his wife and two sons rappers OMG and DoughBoy along with friends. The group took over a VIP section overlooking the dance floor before Ice Cube treated the packed house to a special performance. The crowd sang along word for word to songs including “Why We Thugs,” “Check Yo Self,” and “You Can Do It” as son OMG, who will be playing his dad in the upcoming N.W.A  biopic, helped with hype man duties on the mic. Reminding partygoers that there was “no better place to be than TAO,” the hip hop superstar dropped hits “We Be Clubbin” and “It Was A Good Day.” Before his final song, Ice Cube thanked everyone for coming out — “I had fun jumping up here and jumping back up on the microphone. If you only remember one thing about me, let it be that I always rep that west,” closing out his performance with anthem “I Rep That West.” He then returned to his VIP table and took in the lively atmosphere to the sounds of DJ Five.

At TAO Asian Bistro, rapper Tyga was spotted dining with a group of friends. They enjoyed Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass and Spicy Tuna Tartare over Crispy Rice.

Photos: New York Giant Prince Amukamara Proposes to Girlfriend During Jabbawockeez Show in Las Vegas

Last weekend on Friday, July 19, New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara proposed to girlfriend Pilar Davis during the Jabbawockeez show “PRiSM” at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. A Jabbawockeez fan and dance lover, Amukamara popped the question in style when he sneakily joined the dance crew onstage for a performance in costume. Davis was pulled onstage as part of the act, and after the routine Amukamara dropped to one knee and took off his mask to reveal himself to Davis for his heartwarming proposal – she said yes. This was the first proposal ever integrated into a Jabbawockeez show.

A celebration of imagination, “PRiSM” is the latest production by the Jabbawockeez, which blends awe-inspiring choreography, entertaining storylines, vivid costumes, and chart topping hits, for a one-of-a-kind musical experience. The Michael Jackson Experience, a limited-engagement attraction featuring three Michael Jackson wax figures, will be on-display at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas Sept. 8 – Dec. 27, 2011.
