New Cars, Luxury Vehicles, ‘Ride and Drives’ and the Latest in Car Technology to be on Full Display

The 2019-Model Motor Trend International Auto Show returns to Las Vegas, bringing more than 350 of the latest automobile models, from nearly 20 top manufacturers. Located at the Las Vegas Convention Center (3150 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109), the annual event will take place Friday, November 23 through Sunday, November 25, 2018 in from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Halls N-3 and N-4. Open to the public and offering free parking in Silver Lot 1, attendees may explore 2019 car, truck and SUV models, learn about what’s new in automobile technology and get a jump-start on researching their next vehicle purchase at the auto show.

Attendees of the auto show will be able to witness the debut of the newest automobile models from manufacturers including, Acura, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen, Lincoln and many more. Providing a diverse selection for all, the Motor Trend International Auto Show is the ideal place to test-drive prospective new vehicles and compare features in a no-pressure, non-selling environment.

The show will feature test-driving experiences from Acura, Toyota, Ford and Chevrolet. Each test drive experience will allow show attendees to get behind the wheel and get a real feel for the performance and handling of various types of vehicles. Test drives are included with the price of auto show admission and will operate each day. Participants must a present valid driver’s license before taking a test drive.

Luxury car enthusiasts will not want to miss the Million Dollar Exotic Vehicle Display showcasing ultra exotic vehicles, courtesy of Lamborghini Las Vegas and Royalty Exotics. These high-end models are built for power, rocketing to 60 mph in under three seconds and offer an escape from the ordinary commute. Show-goers will also get the chance to view and experience a display of tricked-out and customized vehicles from the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show from the likes of Team Hybrid and M2 Motoring.

Billboard, dick clark productions and Chevrolet announced earlier tonight that Carrie Underwood was the winner of the second annual Milestone Award, presented at the star-studded 2014 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The fan-voted, editorial award celebrates the ingenuity of this year’s hitmakers, and spotlights an innovative artist that achieved a notable chart milestone over the past year.

Carrie Underwood has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and placed 18 singles at #1, with nine of those as co-writes, all within four albums since winning American Idol in 2005. She has won a vast array of awards including six GRAMMYs® and three female vocalist awards from both the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Academy of Country Music (ACM). In 2010 when Carrie garnered her second win as ACM Entertainer of the Year, she became the first female artist to win the award twice. Carrie has won a total of 11 ACM Awards, 5 CMA Awards, 7 American Music Awards, 6 People’s Choice Awards, 9 CMT Music Awards, 12 American Country Awards, 9 BMI Songwriter Awards, and is a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry. The initial six nominees for the 2014 Milestone Award presented by Chevrolet included Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Luke Bryan, OneRepublic, Ellie Goulding and Carrie Underwood. The six nominees were then pared down to three finalists mid-April: Carrie Underwood, Ellie Goulding and OneRepublic. And in end, after the votes were cast, Carrie Underwood came out on top.

“Wow! I truly have the best fans in the world,” said Underwood as she accepted her award in a heartfelt speech. “I couldn’t do one one-zillionth of what I do without them.”

Starting on April 1, fans voted for their favorite nominees on Billboard.com/milestone. Voting continued all the way through 10pm ET / 9pm CT on May 18 during the live Billboard Music Awards, and culminated with the announcement of the award winner toward the end of the show presented by superstar artist, Kelly Rowland.

dick clark productions and Billboard announced today that Grammy Award-winning recording artist and actor Ludacris will host the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.  The show will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18, on ABC at 8pm ET.Ludacris will take to the Billboard stage while in the midst of filming his role in the highly anticipated Fast & Furious 7.  The musician-turned-actor has received many of the music industry’s top accolades for his work, including Grammy Awards for “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration” for the song “Yeah!” in 2005, “Best Rap Song” for “Money Maker,” and “Best Rap Album” for the album Release Therapy in 2007. 2014 Top New Artist finalist Ariana Grande has had a monumental year. Her single “Problem,” which she will perform at the awards show with Iggy Azalea, just earned the biggest debut of the year, selling 438,000 downloads in its first week. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Songs chart and No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 – the highest debut of the year on both charts. At 20-years old, Grande also became the youngest woman to debut with more than 400,000 downloads. “Problem” is the first single off her upcoming second album, due out in the fall. Grande’s first album, “Yours Truly,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in 2013 and spawned the No. 9 Billboard Hot 100 single “The Way.”

Iggy first exploded onto the underground scene in 2011 with her debut mix tape “Ignorant Art,” which brought her global attention. With help from pop R&B singer Jason Derulo live this morning on “Good Morning America,” dick clark productions and Billboard, the ultimate authority in music and home of the iconic Billboard charts defining success in music, today announced the finalists for the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, honoring the year’s most successful artists in 40 categories. The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18, on ABC from 8:00 PM–11:00 PM ET, with performances from music’s biggest stars. The “2014 Billboard Music Awards” is produced by dick clark productions. Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan are Executive Producers. Larry Klein and Barry Adelman are Producers.

Derulo appeared in the 8:00 AM ET hour of “Good Morning America” today, to announce his participation as a performer in this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Derulo also announced five of the 40 finalist categories, including: Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Female Artist, Top R&B Artist, and Top Country Artist.

Finalists Imagine Dragons and Lorde lead with twelve categories each. Imagine Dragons is vying for its first Billboard Music Award this year. The quartet burned up the charts in 2013 with its album “Night Visions” (which is also a finalist for Top Rock Album) and its many hit singles. Among those is the smash hit “Radioactive,” which broke the record for the most weeks ever on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Lorde broke through in 2013 as well with her inescapable No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 single “Royals” and debut album “Pure Heroine.” The two musical acts go head-to-head in nine categories, including Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Album, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Digital Song, Top Streaming Song (Audio), and Top Rock Song.

Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis follow with 11, 10 and 8 categories respectively. Justin Timberlake could capture his first Billboard Music Award this year as a solo artist. Included in his 11 categories, are Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album. With the group ‘N Sync, Timberlake earned five Billboard Music Awards, including the 2000 trophy for Album of the Year (“No Strings Attached”). Katy Perry is already a three-time Billboard Music Award winner, with the 2011 Top Hot 100 Artist and the Top Digital Songs Artist, and the 2012 Spotlight Award, honoring her achievement as the first woman to earn five No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart from one album (“Teenage Dream”). Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are also past winners, receiving Top Rap Song at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.

  • Both Lorde and Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell Williams with their respective Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s “Royals” and “Blurred Lines,” lead the songs race with 5 title categories each.
  • Imagine Dragons and Katy Perry both come in second for song categories with 4 for “Radioactive” and “Roar.”
  • Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams’ “Get Lucky,” Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Ray Dalton’s “Can’t Hold Us,” and the duo’s hit with Wanz’s “Thrift Shop,” in addition to Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” and Avicii’s “Wake Me Up!” all are tied with 2 title categories each.
  • Some first-time Billboard Music Award finalists include: Lorde (12 categories), Avicii (4 categories), Capital Cities (3 categories), Zedd (3 categories), Sidewalk Prophets (1 category)
  • Rihanna has been a finalist at the Billboard Music Awards 49 times, including 5 categories this year.
  • Justin Timberlake has the most entries as a finalist for albums with three, including two entries for Top R&B Album with “The 20/20 Experience” and “The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)”
  • Luke Bryan leads all country acts with seven entries in six categories, including an appearance as a finalist in the overall Top Male Artist grouping.

The Billboard Music Awards and Chevrolet are teaming up to celebrate the impact of this year’s hitmakers with the second annual Milestone Award at the “2014 Billboard Music Awards” broadcasting live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18 on ABC at 8:00 PM ET/PT. Fans can vote for their favorite Milestone artist online and enter a contest for a chance to win an opportunity to present the award live at this year’s event alongside global music superstar and Billboard Music Award winner Kelly Rowland.

The special editorial award will be given to an innovative artist who has achieved a notable chart milestone over the past year. The six finalists for the 2014 Milestone Award presented by Chevrolet were announced today on Billboard.com – they are: Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Luke Bryan, OneRepublic, Ellie Goulding and Carrie Underwood.

Voting is now open on Billboard.com/milestone. The six finalists will be narrowed down to three finalists, who will be announced on the website on April 21st.
