Five Ways Iggy Azalea Transformed Drai’s Nightclub into Las Vegas’ Hottest New Year’s Eve Bash

FIVE WAYS IGGY AZALEA TRANSFORMED DRAI’S NIGHTCLUB
INTO LAS VEGAS’ HOTTEST NEW YEAR’S EVE BASH

iggy

In a town jam-packed with parties, celebrities and revelry, Iggy Azalea stood high above the rest (literally—11 stories above the Strip) by hosting the first ever live New Year’s Eve concert event at Drai’s Nightclub atop The Cromwell. Transforming the nightlife venue into a full-blown live concert spectacle, Azalea gave the standing-room-only crowd a powerful dose of something fancy to start off 2015.

Just as she counted down to the stroke of midnight, we will now count what made Iggy Azalea at Drai’s Nightclub the most in-demand ticket in Vegas.

1. First Things First…

As a veteran performer at the club, Azalea has never been more at home in Las Vegas than when she’s at Drai’s. The club is perched 11 stories high atop The Cromwell and offers the best unobstructed views of the famous Las Vegas Strip, boasts a massive outdoor party haven with multiple pools and cabanas, as well as a spacious, state-of-the-art indoor adult playground where partygoers get down to beats by renowned DJs and world-class performers. The perfect setting for Azalea to ring in 2015, Drai’s Nightclub provided an unforgettable backdrop for the historic evening.

2. Pulled Up Looking Picture Perfect…

Yowza, that entrance! After getting glammed up in her room – a Boulevard Suite at The Cromwell, Azalea strutted over to Drai’s Nightclub for her takeover with boyfriend Nick Young of the LA Lakers in tow. Donning a sexy silver-to-gold fringe ombre one-piece with sparkly nude fishnet tights, I-G-G-Y has never looked better. She wore glittering heels during the midnight moment, but changed into a pair of silver over the knee boots for her performance. Way to put the cap on a successful year while kicking off the new one in style.

3. Champagne Spilling…

How many people can say they had their final seconds of 2014 boisterously celebrated by Iggy Azalea and Nick Young while everyone in the room downed a glass of champagne, then watched fireworks from the most beautiful view in all of Las Vegas high above the Strip? The full house at Drai’s Nightclub last night can. As the midnight moment neared, Azalea took over the microphone, commanded full attention of the club and led an epic midnight dance party complete with champagne showers, confetti cannons and magnificent views overlooking one of the most famous streets in the world. As fireworks danced through the sky, Azalea headed back in to prep for her big performance.

4. Let The Whole World Feel It…

Maybe not the whole world, but anyone inside Drai’s Nightclub or around The Cromwell surely felt Azalea’s one-of-a-kind presence reverberate over the Strip. Infusing every song with her signature style and energy, the crowd couldn’t help but “Bounce” around to her “Fancy” antics. Making them “Beg For It” by showcasing her top singles, Azalea belted out other fan favorites like “Black Widow” and “Work.”

iggy
5. You Already Know…

…and if not, then you should! Google just released its top trending music artists of 2014 and the highest honor can’t be Igg-nored. Leading that list is none other than the rap goddess herself – not to mention, she was also named as the sixth most searched human being for the year. Billboard also just revealed the star’s song “Fancy “was the most streamed song of the year and her album “The New Classic” was the second most streamed album in 2014. Fans who braved the chilly evening in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve and found refuge at Drai’s Nightclub got to witness one of the top names in the world up close and personal. Considering the star is about to embark on an arena tour, this more intimate live experience was a special treat for the sold-out crowd.

iggy

In true Las Vegas fashion, the party never ends at Drai’s Nightclub – especially not when it’s New Year’s. On the decks tonight (Jan. 1) is DJ superduo Adventure Club, followed tomorrow (Jan. 2) by mysterious but oh-so-talented The Weeknd. Rounding out the gargantuan week of performances is resident DJ 3LAU on Saturday, Jan. 3 and DJ Franzen hosting SunDrai’s on Sunday, Jan. 4.

Limited tickets for Adventure Club, The Weeknd, 3LAU and DJ Franzen can still be purchased online at www.draislv.com.

RECAP/PHOTOS: Nick Cannon Takes Over Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell for Colossal 34th Birthday Celebration

NICK CANNON TAKES OVER DRAI’S NIGHTCLUB AT THE CROMWELL
FOR COLOSSAL 34TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Turning 34 never looked as good as it did last night when superstar actor, DJ, comedian, rapper, record producer and entrepreneur Nick Cannon celebrated his birthday with a special DJ set at Drai’s Nightclub – Las Vegas’ top new nightlife destination located on the rooftop of The Cromwell, the first stand-alone boutique hotel on the Strip.

Cannon arrived at Drai’s with friends, looking stylish in an all black ensemble complete with an edgy detailed leather jacket and a set of heavy chains around his neck. He was in high spirits as he posed for photos and interacted with the crowd of fans who were ready to celebrate the multi-talented star’s birthday.

Inside Drai’s, the group sat at one of the venue’s most exclusive tables located on stage next to the DJ booth. As word of Cannon’s arrival began to buzz throughout the club, it was clear that Drai’s wasn’t emptying out any time soon. When he took to the turntable, the crowd erupted in applause and everyone soon found themselves under command of Cannon’s masterful musicality for the rest of the night. He spun a mixture of new and old hip hop, continually increasing the crowd’s momentum with the start of each new track. At one point, Cannon got so caught up in the music that jumped on top of the DJ booth to show off his dance moves and the entire club cheered him on.

 Nick Cannon

A jack of all trades, Cannon’s DJ skills took the spotlight on Sunday night as the superstar spun a full set at Drai’s Nightclub.

All eyes were on Cannon as a magnificent three-tiered birthday cake made its way through the club and into the DJ booth. Surprised by the monstrous dessert, he took a few moments to appreciate the gesture before getting back to his set. For the remainder of the evening, Cannon was a constant source of energy for everyone who came to party with him 11 stories above the Strip.

Surrounded by friends and admirers, Cannon was surprised with an opulent cake from while at his VIP booth inside Drai’s Nightclub.

At the end of his set, Cannon began to thank everyone for coming out to celebrate when the entire club started to cheer as a show of their own appreciation for the entertainment luminary. He assembled his group for a round of drinks at their VIP table before calling it a wrap and heading to his Parlour Suite at The Cromwell to end what was indisputably an “only in Vegas” kind of night.

Drai’s Enterprises Launches After Hours Records on the Las Vegas Strip

DRAI’SDRAI’S entertaiment

DRAI’S ENTERTAINMENT, TURN FIRST ARTISTS
& CAPITOL RECORDS ANNOUNCE THE FIRST
RECORDING LABEL BASED ON THE LAS VEGAS STRIP

360 Degree Service for After Hours EDM Artists:
Recording Contract, Venue Residency and Artist Development

After Hours, the new record label from Drai’s Entertainment, Turn First Artists and Capitol Records will be the first recording label of-its-kind to be based on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, while drawing upon the three highly successful business models of its partners: Turn First’s hands-on management; A&R and elevation expertise; Capitol’s A&R, product marketing and industry skills and Drai’s world renowned venue prestige.

After Hours will offer a bespoke 360 degree service for their artist: a residency in one of Las Vegas’ most illustrious performance spaces, the new Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub at The Cromwell Hotel & Casino, and access to a participating network of equally eminent venues, including Drai’s After Hours and Liaison Nightclub, alongside a recording contract, complete artist development and the very best A&R consultancy.

“With all of our clubs and venues open literally at the center of the Las Vegas Strip – Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub, After Hours and Liaison – we are immersed in EDM culture,” states Victor Drai. “We have created the most spectacular venues to feature artists nightly in front of thousands of guests from around the globe. Having a record label is the next logical step for Drai’s Enterprises. We are looking forward to discovering and showcasing the next generation of music.”

The brand founders boast industry success stories as far back as the 1970s. Victor Drai is one of Las Vegas’ most enterprising individuals whose venues and ventures have consistently won critical acclaim along with their commercial success. Sarah Stennett, CEO of Turn First Artists, has the acute ability to identify talent at the earliest stages having developed the careers of Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Jessie J and many more. Capitol Chairman & CEO Steve Barnett has revolutionized the repertoires, reputation and revenue of every label he has worked with, whilst Duncan King has an unrivalled record as a label manager having developed Deadmau5’s Mau5trap imprint before going on to work for AEI Media, the brand and content curator powerhouse behind UKF amongst others.

“We all share a unique vision to launch the first dance label on the strip in Vegas,” explains Sarah Stennett. “We have a unique platform to break and develop talented DJ producers. The artists who work with us will be developed with a unique opportunity to DJ as a resident at one of the most exciting clubs in the world. These artists will be able to release through a label that has the clout of a major and the bespoke services of a fast moving independent dance label. The core team is hugely ambitious and experienced and the infrastructure we have set up around the label will yield very significant early successes.”

With offices in Las Vegas, London, New York and Los Angeles, After Hours will enjoy a global viewpoint of the EDM sphere. The label offers the scale of a major but with the flexibility to react to fast-paced market requirements. Complete with full management team and a live network of award-winning venues across the US, After Hours will amplify the artists’ music and brand beyond conventional streams, strategically building DJs’ live careers on a global platform.

“All of us at Capitol are very excited about After Hours and our partnerships with Turn First Artists and Drai’s Entertainment,” Barnett elaborates. “With Drai’s providing our joint venture with an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind nightclub venue in Las Vegas, we have an exciting platform from which to accelerate the careers of artists in the EDM realm and share their talents with audiences around the world.”

Drai’s After Hours was a pioneer 15 years ago when it first opened its doors underneath the bustle of the Las Vegas Strip, and the famed venue will again transform the late night/early morning scene in its original space now located within The Cromwell. Having built a reputation for being the first to bring House music to the Strip, Drai’s After Hours kicks-off the return to its underground home with an opening line-up featuring the most exciting string of underground techno performances of EDC weekend. The artist line-up includes:
• Thursday, June 19th – Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, & Kill Frenzy

“There is nowhere else in the world than Las Vegas where we could create venues where our guests can party with us for nearly all 24 hours of the day,” explains Victor Drai.  “When I first opened After Hours 15 years ago, I wasn’t even sure if it would be a success…the concept was so new and untried.  Now here I am re-opening the club with a great week of artists and music at The Cromwell, the most beautiful new hotel on the Strip.”
Having recently transformed the nightclub scene 11 stories above the Strip with the opening of his newest creation, Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub, Victor Drai will now uniquely be able to entertain guests around the clock:

• 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Drai’s Beach Club

At over 13,000 square feet, After Hours features two new bars, and four rooms showcasing two different music formats.  Adorned with over-the-top opulence of black and gold décor, the ambience and style reflects the style of a vintage mansion.  Accents include pin-up photography, animal print embossed booths and palm trees, while the 55 bottle service tables encourage intimate social lounging throughout. While the new After Hours has been re-designed and updated, Victor Drai has kept to his promise to leave most of the venue in-tact.  “It is just too loved by our guests to make dramatic changes,” he explains.  “We have made it even better, but it’s still the After Hours that everyone will remember.”

The stunning new 65,000 square foot Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub at The Cromwell Las Vegas opening Memorial Day Weekend has tapped an exciting and diverse mix of resident DJ’s to perform at the state-of-the-art club. Hailing from all corners of the globe including the U.S., Sweden, Australia, the Netherlands, Russia, Canada and Italy, the roster of resident DJ’s featured at the newly minted club represents the most exciting group of performers on the scene.

Upcoming performances to the Beach Club and Nightclub include Sidney Samson at the Nightclub on 5/24; Quintino & Ummet Ozcan at the Beach Club on 5/26; Tickets for all shows are on sale now at: www.draislv.com.

Sidney Samson: 5/24
As a seven year old boy, Sidney started playing the guitar. From there on he knew that he wanted to make music for the rest of his life.  His first real club banger was called ‘It’s All Funked Up!’ (Spinnin’ Records). After the release in 2003, Sidney knew that he couldn’t stop here and locked himself up in his studio. ‘Nobody Move’, ’Rock This’, ‘Girls’, ‘Aeroplane’ and ‘Viruz’ were some resulting floor fillers, just to name a few.  Sidney’s career as a producer and DJ took off from there and he quickly became one of the most dominant forces in the Dutch scene. After a number of club hits, Sidney broke into the charts when he released the now infamous: ‘Riverside.” ‘A lot happened since ‘Riverside’. Sidney was already one of the most booked DJ’s in his home country, The Netherlands, but Riverside catapulted him into the top of the international DJ scene, and ever since, Sidney has been touring the world, recently playing important festivals and venues around the world and is watching his latest track, “Celebrate the Rain” with Eva Simons climb the charts.

Quintino: 5/26
Quintino is one of the true DJ’s with a lifelong passion for dance music and on the verge of becoming one of the leading forces in the global music scene today. His high profile work with the likes of Tiësto and Afrojack has made him a household name and his excellent DJ sets across the globe have made his position a highly respected name in the scene. Discovered by Laidback Luke at the age of 18, Quintino started to take his stature as a DJ and producer beyond the normal club scene, playing landmark gigs and high profile festivals. Highlights include performing at Mansion and LIV in Miami, Pacha in New York, and multiple tours in Europe and Asia. A life-changing break came in 2009 when he released a remix of Cidinho & Doca’s ‘Rap Das Armas’, which became a worldwide summer anthem and notched over 10 million YouTube views. That same year Quintino released the singles ‘Heaven’ and ‘You Can’t Deny’ and made clear he will be around to stay as an artist as well. His enormous hit ‘Epic,’ in addition to high profile work with legendary dance artists like Tiësto and Afrojack, have made him a household name. Next on deck is his new track, “Go Hard,” set for release on May 16. Quintino is planning for a huge year in 2014 with a wave of new releases and a non-stop international touring schedule including his highly anticipated residency in Las Vegas at Drai¹s and festival main stages world-wide.

Ummet Ozcan: 5/26
In an age where very few Artists break the mold and truly shine through as unique and innovative, Dutch/Turkisch star Ummet Ozcan raises the bar. From his 2011 #1 hit “Reboot,” which spent 7 weeks at #1 on Beatport, to this recent genre-¬‐defying #1 smash hit “The Box” – one of the most played records at EDC Las Vegas 2012 to his current hit, “Revolution,” a collaboration with Rehab and Nervo – Ummet continues to surge in popularity worldwide. Continuously garnering huge support from a broad array of the world’s top jocks like Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Avicii, and Sander van Doorn, Ummet Ozcan is firming his position at the forefront of the next generation of brilliant EDM Producers, and looks to have another smash on his hands with a remix of Tiesto’s “Wasted.”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled with the line-up of Resident Artists we will be featuring at Drai’s,” explains Alex Soifer, talent buyer for Drai’s. “Victor’s goal is to showcase the most talented, ground-breaking artists from around the world and provide them with a dramatic and electrifying setting that is unrivaled in Las Vegas – day and night.” “We are assembling a line-up that is reflective of what is on the top of the charts right now,” adds Victor Drai. “These are the artists that get people onto the dance floor – now they will be live here in Las Vegas performing in a venue that will both awe and inspire. It is a going to be a true 360 degree music and social experience.”

In addition to Eric Prydz, Adventure Club, Showtek and DVBBS, the Resident Artist line-up includes:

Soifer has assembled a roster of talent that crosses the musical spectrum and will appeal to music fans and club-goers of all types. Highlighted by Prydz’s most recent Ultra performance and from his unrivaled ability to combine commercial success with underground notoriety to Adventure Club’s slick EDM and floor-rumbling dubstep to Showtek, the Dutch dance music duo who have been cruising the Beatport’s Top 10 for the past year, Drai’s will focus on artists that are both ground-breaking and exciting to see in a live setting. “We are booking artists that will ignite the crowd and create an energy that is missing from many Las Vegas clubs today,” adds Soifer. “You won’t come to Drai’s and stand there holding your camera phone above your head aimed at a DJ a football field away. Instead, you are going to be in the middle of the biggest dance party on the Strip.”

Set 11 stories above the iconic Las Vegas Strip atop The Cromwell (the Strip’s first stand alone boutique hotel), Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub has been meticulously designed by Victor Drai with the intention to completely transform the nightclub and nightlife scene in Las Vegas. Since envisioning his rooftop dream, Drai was determined to provide his artists and his guests with a venue like non-other in Las Vegas (or the world). Drai’s features Las Vegas’ only rooftop pool and deck with an indoor/outdoor club, panoramic views of the entire Las Vegas Strip and a concept where the DJ, club and guests are intertwined in a unified experience from sun-up to dusk back to dawn.

“I’ve been dreaming about a rooftop experience for 15 years,” notes Victor Drai.  “Now with The Cromwell, I’m making that dream a reality.  It’s sophisticated, it’s sexy it’s everything people love about coming to Las Vegas.  Now they will get to experience it all from a spectacular rooftop setting with the best DJ’s in the business.” “We have a venue that will showcase some of the best DJ’s in the world at transitional points in their careers,” adds Drai’s partner, Michael Gruber. “The only difference is that they are part of a whole experience for the consumer, rather than being the sole experience. We believe that each one brings something special, and the whole experience is greater than the sum of the parts.”

Drai’s also features nine exclusive VIP Bungalows sharing five elevated pools and 15 luxury mezzanine level cabanas with their own mezzanine level pool overlooking the venue and the city below. Each VIP Bungalow also features its own shower and restroom, offering guests privacy while still being in the middle of all the action. The Beach Club is fully stocked with more than 40 surrounding daybeds, 15 VIP booths, two full bars, an elevated DJ booth, and (ten) 35 foot natural palm trees providing ample amounts of shade.
