EXPERIENCE AT AREA15
 

 

AREA15, Las Vegas’ immersive entertainment, retail and dining destination announces the addition of Lost Spirits Distillery to its collection of interactive experiences. With its opening planned for late 2020, Lost Spirits Distillery will join AREA15’s other dynamic destinations including Emporium, Oddwood Bar, Dueling Axes, a culinary experience by Todd English and its anchor experience, Meow Wolf Las Vegas. AREA15 will officially open to the public this summer.

Described by Smithsonan Magazine as “a high-end Willy Wonka experience for adults and a Disneyland for drinkers”, Lost Spirits is one of the world’s top distilleries. It boasts an immersive tour that resembles a surreal amusement park. The distillery also houses a tiny restaurant that rivals some of the world’s top dining experiences. Visitors to the new Lost Spirits experience can expect a dreamscape of whisky and rum tastings, boat rides, under sea train rides, and holograms paired with exceptional fine dining and world class whisky and rum.

The 35,000-square-foot space at AREA15 will be a fully functioning distillery, designed to showcase a series of new spirits developed specifically for Las Vegas. Additional details will be announced this summer.

Lost Spirits Distillery, Los Angeles, is currently ranked No. 1 in the world for its tasting experience. Its Abomination whisky line includes a bottling ranked “World Whisky of the Year – 2019” by Dominic Roskrow’s Wizards of Whisky Awards and was designated as “liquid gold” in Jim Murray’s “Whisky Bible.”

Lights On! AREA15 Announces Call For Entries: Content Creator Program

 

LIGHTS ON! AREA15 ANNOUNCES CALL FOR ENTRIES:
CONTENT CREATOR PROGRAM

AREA15, the experiential retail and entertainment complex opening in early 2020, announces a call for entries for its inaugural Content Creator Program.

Now through March 1, AREA15 calls Las Vegas students and local digital designers to envision a world of their own imagination for a chance to be featured in AREA15’s 360-degree projection-mapped event space. Using the theme of “Technology” and following the file parameters provided in the submission form, applicants should build a video animation design to transport visitors to a reality that DOES NOT EXIST.

AREA15 looks forward to involving members of the local creative community in meaningful ways,” explains Winston Fisher, chief executive officer, AREA15. “Our grand opening week provides a high-profile opportunity to do that in spectacular fashion.”

Three applicant finalists will be selected as part of the program, each receiving:

  • The opportunity to work alongside professional projection artists at D2P Design to bring concept to reality;
  • Complimentary enrollment in a summer design workshop program produced by D2P Design;
  • Featured status in a “Lights On!” design showcase during AREA15’s opening week festivities.
  • Compensation for their work.

CHEF TODD ENGLISH TO CURATE AN IMMERSIVE CULINARY EXPERIENCE 

 AREA15, the world’s first purpose-built, experiential art, retail and entertainment complex opening in Las Vegas in 2020, announces its partnership with Todd English, one of the most decorated and respected chefs in the world. The culinary-concept will offer a customized menu created by English exclusively for AREA15’s food hall (the official name to be announced in early 2020). Offering an immersive, multi-dimensional journey, guests will dine casually among large-scale art installations, music, performance and other activations.

English’s culinary concept joins AREA15’s growing collection of food and beverage experiences including the sweets shop Emack & Bolios; cocktail and coffee bar Oddwood; nostalgic hotspot Rocketfizz and the new corporate culinary partner, Hakkasan Group. AREA15 will be the first West Coast location for the “hippy ice-cream store” Emack & Bolios, serving up ice cream, yogurt, homemade fudge and chocolate, micro-brewed sodas and more. Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop is known for exceptionally unique and out-of-the-ordinary soda and candy flavors—all imbued with a sizeable dose of nostalgia. Oddwood promises to be the visually and artistically stimulating bar in The SPINE, serving a wide variety of premium beers and approachable cocktail beverages along with a full coffee bar by Las Vegas-based Vesta Coffee Roasters. Finally, AREA15 recently announced a corporate hospitality partnership with one of the world’s leading hospitality companies – Hakkasan Group, which will be AREA15’s preferred caterer for meetings, private parties and corporate events taking place in the one-of-kind venue. Additionally, Hakkasan Group will use AREA15 as the exclusive location for any events outside of the company’s Las Vegas venues.

DUELING AXES JOINS AREA15’S EVOLVING COLLECTION OF
INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES

AREA15 gets primal with the newest addition to its experiential retail and entertainment tenant lineup: Dueling Axes, the premiere indoor axe-throwing lounge native to Columbus, Ohio. Dueling Axes joins AREA15’s recently announced growing collection of attractions including Nomadic, Emporium, Meow Wolf Las Vegas and the recently announced cocktail and coffee bar, Oddwood.

Dueling Axes prides itself on a unique approach to customer experience, competitive play, interior design, technology and location selection. These factors make Dueling Axes the leader in the axe-throwing arena, while AREA15 represents an optimal destination for the expanding brand. As its second location, Dueling Axes’ Las Vegas location will encompass nearly triple the space and number of throwing lanes than its Columbus venue. Occupying 6,300 square feet inside AREA15, the dynamic attraction will feature 18 throwing lanes accommodating up to six participants each; four lanes will be dedicated to the VIP and private party room which accommodates groups of up to 25 guests.

Whether guests are throwing for the first or hundredth time, on a date or with a large group of friends and coworkers, Dueling Axes makes axe throwing approachable and safe for everyone, transforming the primitive activity into a high-energy pastime.
