After an unprecedented 15-year run, Luxor Hotel and Casino has announced a five-year contract renewal with world-renowned comedian Scott “Carrot Top” Thompson who will continue performing his hit Las Vegas show to 2025. During last night’s show, MGM Resorts executives surprised Carrot Top by joining him on stage immediately following his final act to announce the extended residency creating an over the ‘top’ celebration.

With three decades of comedic performance in his rear-view mirror, Carrot Top is one of the most popular, recognizable and successful comedians in the nation. Not only has he cemented his role as a Las Vegas icon, the extension of his headlining residency solidifies “Carrot Top” as the longest running comedy show in MGM Resorts history.

Four-time GRAMMY© Award winner Keith Urban will bring Keith Urban Live – Las Vegas to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for 12 unprecedented concerts to premiere in January 2020. After two sold-out performances at the award-winning and newly renovated venue in September 2019, Urban will now return with an all-new show, packed with hit songs, explosive showmanship and usual unpredictability. The shows will be a once-in-a-lifetime concert event – an arena-sized production in a theater setting, up close and personal. Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era” by former President Bill Clinton, the legendary rock and roll band with horns, Chicago, came in at #4, the highest charting American band in the chart’s history, in Billboard Magazine’s Top Bands And Duos. And Chicago is the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six consecutive decades.
 
Chicago was inducted into the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This was their first nomination. They’ve been eligible since 1994. A long time coming!
 
Chicago’s first album, Chicago Transit Authority, was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame in 2014, and the band performed on the GRAMMY stage for the first time that year.
 
Robert Lamm and James Pankow have become inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017. These legendary songwriters wrote mega-hits such as, “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday In The Park,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” “Make Me Smile,” and many others. 
 
Chicago will celebrate the holidays this year with a new Christmas album, CHICAGO CHRISTMAS, that spotlights the legendary group’s trademark sound on eight original songs, two yuletide favorites and one timeless classic that embraces the spirit of hope.
 
On October 4, 2019, CHICAGO CHRISTMAS was released on CD and through digital and streaming services. In addition, a black vinyl version of the album will be released to general retail, with limited-edition red and white vinyl versions exclusively available at Rhino.com. All vinyl versions will be available on November 22.
 
Produced by founding member Lee Loughnane, CHICAGO CHRISTMAS is the 37th album of the band’s career and its fourth holiday collection. Whereas its previous releases focused more on traditional Christmas songs, the new record spotlights holiday music the band wrote especially for the album, including “All Over The World,” “(Because) It’s Christmastime,” and “I’m Your Santa Claus.” The album also features R&B and ballad versions of “Merry Christmas, I Love You,” a song that Loughnane wrote with John Durrill of The Ventures, the best-selling instrumental band of all time.
 
More than 40 years after its debut, Chicago II still sounds like nothing else. Released in 1970, Chicago’s second album brims with confidence and inspiration as it draws on everything from orchestral music to heavy rock. It spawned a trio of Top Ten hits, and the timeless classic has been remastered to reveal unprecedented clarity and definition. For the first time a new stereo remix, created by British musician and producer Steven Wilson from the 16-track multi-track tapes, made it possible to bring out elements that were muffled or submerged in the mix. The result is a new stereo version of Chicago II that boasts clearness, punch and definition that it didn’t have before.  It has been released by Rhino Records on CD and vinyl. Chicago II is being considered for the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame.
 
CHICAGO’s award-winning documentary film, Now More Than Ever: The History Of Chicago premiered on CNN on New Year’s Day and ranked No. 1 among adults 25-54. This is per “Nielsen Fast National Time Period Based Data” for 1/1/17 from 8 PM -10 PM. The documentary film was originally shown at the Sedona International Film Festival in February 2016, and won the Film Festival’s Best of Fest Audience Choice Award. The band opened the festival with back-to-back sold-out performances. 
 
Additionally, Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago won three awards in April 2016, at the 10th Annual Fort Myers Beach Film Festival, taking home top prizes in the Documentary and Audience Award categories. Director Peter Pardini was awarded the festival’s Rising Star Award in direction and was on hand to accept all three awards. Earlier that month the documentary was the runner-up for Audience Award at the Sarasota Film Festival.
 
Chicago’s lifetime achievements include two GRAMMY Awards, two American Music Awards, Founding Artists of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Chicago street dedicated in their honor, and keys to and proclamations from an impressive list of U.S. cities. Record sales top the 100,000,000 mark, and include 21 Top 10 singles, 5 consecutive Number One albums, 11 Number One singles and 5 Gold singles. An incredible 25 of their 36 albums have been certified platinum, and the band has a total of 47 gold and platinum awards. 
 
Chicago have toured every year since the beginning – they’ve never missed a year.  The original three band members are Robert Lamm on keyboards and vocals, Lee Loughnane on trumpet and vocals and James Pankow on trombone. The band line-up also includes Wally Reyes, Jr. on drums, Keith Howland on guitar and vocals, Lou Pardini on keyboards and vocals, Ray Herrmann on sax and flute, Neil Donell on vocals, Brett Simons on bass and Ramon “Ray” Yslas on percussion.
 
For five years, Chicago raised over a quarter of a million dollars to fight breast cancer for the American Cancer Society by having a winning bidder come on stage and sing “If You Leave Me Now” in concert.  Chicago generously support other charitable causes, donating a portion of ticket sales to Kelly Cares, established by Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly and his wife Paqui, to support local, national and global organizations that strive to improve their communities in the areas of health and education.  Portions of ticket sales also benefit the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation, which seeks a cure for a fatal children’s disease, Niemann-Pick Type C. Chicago manager Peter Schivarelli, who played football for Coach Parseghian, is on Notre Dame’s Board Of Directors for their Athletic Commission.  Chicago has also associated with Hannah & Friends, an organization that serves children and adults with special needs. Hannah & Friends is the personal mission of Maura Weis and her husband, Charlie Weis, the former coach at the University of Kansas.

Winner of the 2017 Olivier Award® for Best Musical Revival, the North American presentation of the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s production officially launch at Austin’s Bass Concert Hall on Oct. 8 before visiting more than 30 cities including Las Vegas, where it will play The Smith Center for the Performing Arts Nov. 5-10. Sarah Parker (Riot Girl) is currently a company member of Camille A. Brown and Dancers. In 2015, she took part in Hofesh Shechter’s developmental lab for the latest Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof, and then went on to join the show’s company under the direction of Bartlett Sher. She was part of the cast’s performances on the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” “Late Night with Stephen Colbert” and “The Tony Awards®.” Sarah is featured in 3 episodes of the hit Amazon TV series “Mozart in the Jungle,” and performed in NBC’s Emmy-winning “Jesus Christ Superstar LIVE” last April. She has also danced in events for Under Armour, Robin Hood, Ernst & Young, ULTA Beauty, MATRIX/ L’Oreal, and Brooks Brothers. As a teacher, Sarah is known for her athletic improvisation and contemporary movement workshops.

 

Erick Patrick (Ensemble). From an early age, Erick knew that he wanted to entertain people. His creative journey began in church where he developed his love for music. His passion for acting came a few years later in middle school, where Erick was in his first musical. Erick attended The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts where he studied acting on camera. Since graduating Erick has been in shows both regionally (Mamma Mia) and on tour (Motown the Musical). Erick is incredibly grateful for each and every opportunity.

 

SandyRedd (Soul Girl) is a powerhouse singer, songwriter, actress and entrepreneur, and a Chicago native performer taking the industry by storm.  She recently left the entire world in shock and awe after wowing celebrity judge panelists Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton on the newest Season 15 of NBC’s hit show “The Voice”.  However, SandyRedd’s story begins long before her journey to “The Voice”.   Honored as a Leading Lady of Success in the field of music by WGCI & IHeart Radio, nominated for the 2018 Chicago Music Awards R&B Entertainer of the Year & Best Female Vocalist, winner of the WGCI Kickstart Your Dreams “Next to Blow out of Chicago” contest by Mountain Dew & Rap Legend Twista, Honored for Music Excellence & Community by RollingOut Magazine, and the founder of the Mama’s Birds Performing Arts Youth Organization which fosters mentorship through music, SandyRedd is definitely leaving her mark on the world with no plans of stopping anytime soon.

 

Jasmine Schmenk (Soul Girl) is from Toledo, Ohio by way of Cleveland. She grew up singing in church, attending an arts based high school (TSA), and went on to study musical theatre at Wright State University. Before graduating she was able to accept the role of Joanne Jefferson in the 20th Anniversary National Tour of RENT.

 

Chelsea Williams (Ensemble) hails from Windham, Maine and is a graduate of Emerson College where she received a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. ANNOUNCE INITIAL LINEUP FOR ALL FOR THE HALL BENEFIT CONCERT

On Feb. 10, 2020, Urban will bring together a who’s who of performers for a one-night-only Bridgestone Arena concert to support the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s
education programs.


Between periods of the Nashville Predators’ nationally televised home opener against the Minnesota Wild, Keith Urban took to the ice to perform and announce that the All for the Hall benefit concert, presented by City National Bank, will return to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020. Ingrid Andress, Luke Combs, Lauren Daigle, Brothers OsborneBlake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Tenille Townes and Tanya Tucker will join Urban for his seventh All For The Hall benefit concert, which to date has raised $3.4 million in support of the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s education programs. Additional artists are expected to be named later. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at 10 a.m. central time, and can be purchased at LiveNation.com and the Bridgestone Arena box office. VIP ticketing packages, which include premium seating, meet-and-greet opportunities and more, will also be made available.

 

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, through its exhibits and educational programs, shares the ever-evolving country music story, from its folk roots to the present day. Throughout this narrative, the inspiration that artists draw from their musical forbearers is tangible. This exploration of how music inspires and influences later generations of artists led directly to the concert’s theme, All for the Hall: Under the Influence. During the concert, each participating artist will perform a song that was recorded by an artist who strongly influences them, in addition to one of their own hits.

 

“Ken Burns’ documentary has shown us that we are all very much influenced by our heroes,” said Urban. “So this year’s All for the Hall benefit is our chance to acknowledge those that have been an influence on us and helped shape the artists that we are today. Somehow these shows always seem to take on a life of their own. They’re incredibly fun to do, and you never quite really know what’s gonna happen. So we’ll roll with it and turn Bridgestone (Arena) into one huge club!”

Following more than three decades at the helm of Double Dare’s slime-soaked shenanigans, Charlie Blum Entertainment / CB Entertainment and Red Tail Productions LLC, in partnership with Nickelodeon are happy – and a bit sad – to announce that the show’s legendary host, Marc Summers, will be saying goodbye to Double Dare and its live tour at the end of this year, marking the conclusion of thousands of pies, numerous chocolate-covered chickens and of course, tons of slime!

“Double Dare premiered on Oct. 6, 1986, on Nickelodeon, and ran from 1986-1993, making it the network’s longest running game show. Marc Summers served as the show’s original host from 1986-1993. Shortly after its debut, “Double Dare” became one of the most popular original daily programs on cable television. The series went into syndication in 1988 and was later revived as “Super Sloppy Double Dare” in 1989.  The show also ran on broadcast television as “Family Double Dare” in 1988, followed by new versions on Nick, including “Double Dare 2000.”   Nickelodeon launched a successful revival of the show in the summer of 2018 to the great acclaim of the original super fans and a whole new generation of kids.  All new “Double Dare” episodes will air on Nickelodeon in October and December of this year.

 

The Double Dare Live! national tour launched with the TV revival and has announced tour dates currently through the end of 2019.  Inspired by the iconic TV game show, Double Dare Live! features two teams comprised of selected audience members competing to win prizes by answering brain-bending trivia questions, completing messy physical challenges and ultimately facing the legendary obstacle course.

Cirque du Soleil is teaming up with Vegas Golden Knights forward Ryan Reaves for an exclusive collaboration featuring R.U.N, the first live-action thriller by Cirque du Soleil, and 7FIVE Brewing Co. The exciting partnership includes 7FIVE’s Training Day Golden Ale, and the chance to be Ryan Reaves’ official guest to the world premiere of R.U.N on Nov. 14.

Beginning Oct. 2, a series of four parody movie posters featuring Ryan Reaves and key artists from R.U.N will be released, with a new theme rolling out weekly. Pure Aloha Festival at Silverton Casino Hotel Celebrates 14 Years

LAS VEGAS, NV – September 30, 2019 – Get into the aloha spirit as Vizzun Entertainment presents the 14th Annual Pure Aloha Fall Festival and Concerts from Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 6 at Silverton Casino Hotel. The event features a one-of-a-kind Hawaiian festival, traditional Polynesian performances and Island Reggae concerts.

The festival will feature island craft and merchandise booths and authentic food vendors. There will also be all day live entertainment, festivities, carnival games and amusement rides. While guests shop and dine on ‘ono (delicious) food, they will be entertained by cultural performances and bands.  This year’s free evening concerts will feature Baba B, Anuhea, Ka’ikena Scanlan, Kaipo, Chief Ragga, Redmelo, Typical Hawiians and more.

General admission tickets for the festival are $10 or $15 after 8 p.m. on Friday & Saturday and after 7 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets can only be purchased at the event entrance. Children under 42” are free. No re-entry after 8 p.m.
