This Saturday, Aug. 17, Macy’s Fashion Show Mall will host a Beauty & Fashion Bash benefitting the Tyler Robinson Foundation (TRF). The event will include pop-up stations throughout the store with fun for the entire family. Attendees can enjoy makeovers, face painting and a balloon artist as well as kite-making, and a potting station for kids and parents to pot their very own plant in STORY. TRF families will also be featured in a fashion show highlighting the latest trends of the season.
 

 

The Beauty & Fashion Bash will take place at Macy’s Fashion Show Mall from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit TRF and its mission to strengthen families financially and emotionally as they cope with the tragedy of a childhood cancer diagnosis by providing grants to offset out-of-pocket life expenses. Proceeds from the weekend to benefit Mondays Dark

 

 On Saturday, June 2, leading fashion accessory brand, Kendra Scott will celebrate the first anniversary of its Las Vegas Store located inside the Fashion Show Mall with cast members from the hit Las Vegas show Magic Mike Live. In celebration of the milestone, Kendra Scott will host an in-store event in partnership with Mondays Dark, a locally based variety show founded by Mark Shunock that donates 100% of its proceeds to local charities. Guests that spend $100 or more at Kendra Scott or donate $20 directly to Mondays Dark will have the opportunity to take a photo with cast members from Las Vegas’ “hottest show,” Magic Mike Live. 20 percent of proceeds from June 2 will benefit Mondays Dark.

 

In addition to photos and fun, the day will feature shopping, philanthropy and a lineup of alcohol-infused Sin City cupcakes along with an in-store raffle where lucky winners will receive a pair of tickets to see Magic Mike Live at the Hard Rock Hotel.  Throughout the weekend (June 1-3, 2018), if patrons go in-store or call and mention Mondays Dark, 20 percent of those proceeds will also go back to the charity. On Thursday, May 19, Keep Memory Alive’s 20th annual Power of Love® gala honoree, Tony Bennett, was recognized as 20 Las Vegas marquees around the city lit up with an image of the world-renowned artist in celebration of his 90th birthday and participation in the Gala. More than 50 people attended the invite-only fête, including Bennett’s wife Susan Benedetto, while dozens of onlookers gathered around to watch the ceremony, which took place on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge at New York-New York Hotel & Casino.

 

Local Las Vegas entertainer Mark Shunock served as the emcee of the soiree and kicked-off the event by introducing the man of the hour, Bennett, and Keep Memory Alive Co-Founder and Chairman Larry Ruvo. Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak then gave remarks recognizing Bennett’s outstanding career by proclaiming Las Vegas Boulevard to be renamed “Tony Bennett Boulevard” for the full day of the Gala on Saturday, May 21. Following Sisolak’s presentation, Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority, acknowledged Bennett’s impact on Las Vegas.

 

Next, Bennett and Ruvo took to the stage to discuss Bennett’s career, milestone birthday and what Keep Memory Alive and brain health means to him. Ruvo then lead the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday,” which concluded with a Dom Pérignon champagne toast by Shunock as the marquees illuminated with Bennett’s picture. Berger & Son Fine Jewelers, a premier destination for one-of-a-kind fine jewelry and timepieces, began construction on a new location that’s more than double in size of the existing store. As the longest-running independent retailer in Fashion Show Las Vegas, owner and designer Stuart Berger has earned industry-wide recognition and become a successful local business despite recessions, mall buyouts and big chain competition. But what’s most exciting is Berger’s newest venture – a new location debuting in December with an extensive new line of jewelry, timepieces, and services.

Through the years, Berger & Son has maintained a strong local and tourist following. This success has allowed Berger to expand, which will offer customers more selection, additional luxury timepiece brands and a larger inventory of fine jewelry. Harris plans to enhance Berger & Son’s brand presence with a retail concept that will drive growth, improve visual merchandising and increase the quantity of in-store displays, offering a superior customer experience. The new store is scheduled to open during the first week of December, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

With Memorial Day this weekend and Flag Day approaching on June 14, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Las Vegas is supporting active troops, veterans and their families who have served our country proudly. Between now and Sunday, July 5, 2015, participating Las Vegas locations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® are proud to reintroduce their annualSupport At Home campaign (in stores and online) with multiple support opportunities available to patrons. A contribution of $1 will be donated to Operation Homefront—a national nonprofit that provides financial assistance to service members and wounded warriors—for every 12 oz. ‘Support at Home’ Ground Coffee ($9.99) or 20-count ‘Support at Home’ Tea Tin ($8.99) sold. Customers may also purchase ‘Support at Home’ retail coffee and tea products for donation to military families as a “thank you” for their service. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® Las Vegas is helping create awareness in the fight against pancreatic cancer, the nation’s fourth leading cause of cancer deaths, by participating in Purple for a Purpose on November 21 at the world famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, as well as on “Giving Tuesday” on December 2, 2014.

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® Las Vegas will provide a beverage for #PurpleForAPurpose during the lighting ceremony at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014. 

The sign will be lit in purple lights to honor those who have lost their battle with pancreatic cancer, those who are currently affected by the disease and those who will be diagnosed in the future. The public is encouraged to attend and also enjoy a complimentary Hot Chocolate from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Truck.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is celebrating National Cheesecake Day on Wednesday, July 30th with a special dessert promotion. Known for its award-winning, coal-fired, brick oven pizza, the Italian pizzeria is celebrating this holiday by offering guests a free slice of cheesecake with any purchase of $25 or more.

Following the holiday marks the beginning of a new selection of cheesecakes at Grimaldi’s. The fall seasonal cheesecakes begin Friday, August 1st and will include some of the season’s best flavors. From August to October you can enjoy two fall favorites. The first is a caramel apple cheesecake that will take you back to your childhood memories of the fair. It includes a rich caramel and green apple cheesecake topped with caramel and whipped cream. The second option is a chocoholic’s dream. It is a chocolate cheesecake served with chocolate syrup and topped with whipped cream.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria will continue to offer its traditional dessert menu for guests to choose from which includes: Tiramisu, Housemade Cheesecakes—New York Style or Oreo Cookie—priced at $5 each and Grimaldi’s Famous Cannoli for $4.50.

Support at Home Promotion Provides Donations to Operation Homefront

As Independence Day approaches, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Las Vegas is supporting active troops, veterans and their families who have served our country proudly. 

Beginning June 30, 2014 through August 10, 2014,  for every purchase of any Support at Home branded retail coffee or tea, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Las Vegas will donate $1 to Operation Homefront. This important nonprofit organization supports the needs of soldiers and military personnel returning home after deployment. Operation Homefront provides food assistance, auto and home repair, essential home items as well as transitional housing for wounded soldiers as they recover. 

Additionally, customers who want to increase their support, may also donate their Support at Home coffee or tea purchase to Operation Homefront and it will be donated to military families.

As a special thank you to those supporting this effort on behalf of our military, customers who purchase any Support at Home coffee or tea blend on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, will also receive a free specialty beverage of their choice!

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Spices Things Up with New Diavolo Pizza

As the temperatures rise, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is kicking up the heat another notch in the month of June with the Diavolo Pizza, a classic pizza topped with soppressata salami, cherry peppers and kalamata olives. The spicy Diavolo pizza will make its debut at all Grimaldi’s locations beginning Monday, June 2 and will be available for a limited time through Monday, June 30. Guests can offset the heat and quench their thirst by pairing this spicy delight with a cold, Fat Tire or a fruity, Red Sangria.

After indulging in the Diavolo Pizza, Grimaldi’s patrons can satisfy their sweet tooth and enjoy a sweet taste of summer with the Strawberry Cheesecake and the Blueberry Cobbler Cheesecake for $5 per slice. These seasonal cheesecakes will be available through the end of July.

Grimaldi’s pizzas are prepared fresh daily and range from $9 – $22.
