Lush Cosmetics to Triple in Size with New Concept Store at Fashion Show

LUSH COSMETICS TO TRIPLE IN SIZE WITH NEW CONCEPT SHOP AT FASHION SHOW

Lush Cosmetics will soon showcase an all-new location within Fashion Show Las Vegas. Set to open late March, the newly expanded concept shop at Fashion Show will stretch 1,360 square feet – more than three times the average Lush store!

Taking inspiration from Lush’s 10,000 square foot shop on Oxford Street as well as the Borough Market, both located in London, the retail design will give new meaning to vintage charm. The store will be filled with one-of-a-kind, salvaged and reclaimed furniture that have been sourced from all over the country. This unique design concept of working from reclaimed materials reduces waste, ultimately cutting back on Lush’s environmental footprint, a value important to the brand. Plus, the neutral tones of the interior will contrast perfectly with the rainbow bright colors of Lush’s product range, including its signature bath bombs, a Las Vegan favorite.

The focal point of the store will be the Skin Care consultation station in the middle of the shop that will allow for enhanced one-to-one customer experiences. This area will give guests and Lush staff the chance to connect, discuss and interact with products and make personal recommendations based on in-depth conversations.

On Friday evening (Jan. 27, 2017) Fashion Show welcomed Chinese New Year with a special opening ceremony and ribbon cutting affair. To kick off the celebration, guests were invited to partake on a journey to China and experience cultural performances by the Sichuan Song and Dance Theater Company. Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman began the festivities and welcomed visitors and guests to Las Vegas.

Distinguished dignitaries including Michael Goldsmith (Vice President of International Marketing of LVCVA), Jim Heilmann (Senior General Manager of Fashion Show), and Xiao Xiayong, (Cultural Consul of Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco), along with Mayor Goodman joined together for the ribbon cutting, painting of the eye ceremony, and authentic lion dance to welcome the Year of the Rooster.

Guests were then treated to a runway show from Saks Fifth Ave sporting this year’s best looks in hues of red and gold. To round out the celebration, the lion dance continued on with a ceremonial blessing of the department stores where team members fed the dragon red envelopes to bring good luck for the year.

The fourth annual style with a cause event inspiring women through fashion and beauty takes flight on the runway at the Great Hall inside Fashion Show  in fabulous Las Vegas Wednesday, September 7th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Rachel Smith from Fox 5  will lead guests through a fun-filled night of friends, beauty bars by Sephora , a fall fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue, a real life beauty transformation and the recognition of unsung heroes from the Las Vegas community.

Created by Las Vegas fashion stylist Jenna Doughton , style with a cause will support Project 150 , a 501c3 organization that is dedicated to helping the more than 2,500 homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students in our community obtain food, clothing, school supplies, hygiene products and support they need to continue high school, graduate and have the resources necessary to grow and thrive.  Doughton is providing continued support through clothing drives with local fashionistas to supply “Betty’s Boutique,” Project 150’s clothing boutique the high school students get to shop before school starts, Christmas and milestone moments in their lives such as prom night. Doughton will also be choosing one program recipient at the end of the school year to intern for style with a cause to provide valuable work experience in the retail, event and marketing worlds.

“I can’t imagine having to figure out how I was going to turn in my next homework assignment without having any of the resources to do the assignment or the knowledge of where I was going to sleep or get my next meal. Add that to all of the other problems that go along with being in high school and trying to figure out how you fit into this world. I’m thrilled to be able to be part of the team that is helping these high school students realize that they are enough, they are worthy of success and they matter,” says Doughton.

As an ongoing supporter of Global Green USA, Pureology is working towards a more sustainable future and enlisted Pureology stylists to lead the Eco-Chic Fashion Show hair team at Global Green USA’s 8th Annual Gorgeous and Green benefit in San Francisco, which celebrated the organization’s smart climate solutions.  Over 300 attendees including James and Kimberly Van Der Beek and Amber Valetta enjoyed a performance by Michelle Branch as well as an Eco-Chic Fashion Show, delicious organic treats, and sustainably sourced cocktails.

The Eco-Chic Fashion Show showcased top designers including Oliver Tolentino, Mina & Olya, Amour Vert Prophetik, PACT and Cari Borja who blend high style with sustainability.  Pureology stylists Natasha Sunshine and Sherilynn Smart co-led the Eco-Chic Fashion Show with the Pureology hair team including PureArtists Sura Radcliffe, Spencer Henry and Shara Deaton.

JERSEY BOYS took their moves from the stage to the runway in an interactive fashion event to benefit HELP of Southern Nevada. Hosted by KLAS-TV news anchor Dayna Roselli, the event consisted of a clothing drive, fashion show, prize raffle and exclusive meet and greet with JERSEY BOYS cast members.

 

Cast members from JERSEY BOYS modeled the latest looks from Banana Republic’s “Mad Men” collection on the runway. Following the fashion show, the cast was available for a exclusive meet and greet for participants of the clothing drive. Guests had the opportunity to meet, take photographs and receive autographs from cast members.

JERSEY BOYS will take their moves from the stage to the runway in an interactive fashion show event to benefit HELP of Southern Nevada on Sunday, October 2 on the runway at Fashion Show. The event will consist of a clothing drive, fashion show, prize raffle and exclusive meet and greet with JERSEY BOYS cast members. Emceed by KLAS-TV news anchor Dayna Roselli, the event kicks off at 2 p.m. with a retro-inspired fashion show followed by the meet and greet with cast members.  The afternoon with JERSEY BOYSwill conclude at 4 p.m. with a raffle of exciting prizes. Clothing drive donations will be accepted beginning at noon.  

“We are pleased to partner with HELP of Southern Nevada and Fashion Show for this event,” says JERSEY BOYS Producer Michael David. “JERSEY BOYS has gratefully been embraced by the Las Vegas community over the past three and a half years and this event is but one small way for us to give back to those in need.”

Guests can bring new or gently used clothing donations to the event to benefit HELP of Southern Nevada’s “Career Closet” and HELP’s Shannon West Youth Center. Donations for professional clothing including suits, dress pants, shirts and dress shoes for both men and women will be kindly accepted.  Warm clothing donations for youth ages 16 – 21 including jackets, sweaters, hooded sweatshirts and socks are also encouraged and accepted.  

“This event is coming at a critical time for HELP of Southern Nevada,” says Abby Quinn, community outreach manager of HELP of Southern Nevada. “As the colder months are approaching, we have a much greater need for warm clothing for the youth. We also have hundreds of clients who are currently looking for work and having nice, professional clothing helps them to put their best foot forward.” 

For every appropriate item donated, guests will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win exciting prizes. There will not be a limit on the donations accepted; however raffle tickets will be limited at five per guest.  Donations must be received by 3:45 p.m. to receive a raffle ticket. More than 15 amazing prizes will be given away, including the Grand Prize package of two Orchestra tickets to JERSEY BOYS, a one-night stay at The Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino and dinner for two. Other prizes include an additional ten pair of JERSEY BOYS tickets and restaurant and retailer gift certificates from Fashion Show, The Shoppes at the Palazzo and The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. Blue Man Group Unveils Interactive Statue At Fashion Show On April 13

BLUE MAN GROUP UNVEILS Interactive STATUE AT FASHION SHOW ON APRIL 13

What: Blue Man Group invites Las Vegas visitors and locals to the official unveiling of its interactive, 15-foot-tall statue on the Plaza at Fashion Show from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 13.

Details: Members of Blue Man Group will be on location to celebrate the presentation of the statue along with event host KVVU FOX5’s MORE anchor Arran Andersen. Andersen and the MORE team will capture the first moments the Blue Men discover and interact with the state-of-the-art display. To celebrate, a larger-than-life Twinkie cake designed by Freed’s Bakery of Las Vegas will be presented to the Blue Men to commemorate their first trip to see their statue. In addition, complimentary Twinkies, a signature snack from Blue Man Group performances, will be available for attendees to enjoy.

Designed by YESCO LLC for Blue Man Group Las Vegas, the one-of-a-kind custom statue features two large, high-definition monitors and an interactive “fan cam.” The fan cam records video of visitors and broadcasts it live on one of the monitors. The second monitor will feature exclusive Blue Man Group clips and content from the show.
