The Las Vegas Aviators® professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, will open a season-long 12-game homestand against the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, on Friday, May 3 at Las Vegas Ballpark®.

Las Vegas will also host the Grizzlies on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.; Sunday at 12:05 p.m. and Monday at 7:05 p.m.

The Aviators will then host the Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, in a four-game series from Tuesday-Friday, May 7-10 (all games at 7:05 p.m.). The homestand will then conclude with a four-game series against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, from Saturday-Tuesday, May 11-14.

Saturday and Monday’s games (May 11 & 13) will begin at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday (May 12-Mother’s Day at 12:05 p.m. and the homestand finale on Tuesday, May 14 with a special start time of 10:35 a.m. for the 16th Annual School Day game).

The Aviators, 16-11, are currently on a brief four-game road trip in Northern Nevada against intrastate rival, the Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The trip will conclude on Thursday evening at Greater Nevada Field. Las Vegas, under manager Fran Riordan, are in the first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the A’s.

The Aviators organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada. The franchise is playing in their 37th season in the Silver State as a member of the PCL.

2019 LAS VEGAS BALLPARK ATTENDANCE: In 12 dates, Las Vegas total is 118,362 for an average of 9,864 (12 sellouts).  The grand opening game on April 9 was a season-high sellout crowd of 11,036 vs. Sacramento. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in “home” attendance in all 36 seasons (1983-2018). The all-time attendance total now stands at 12,119,373.  In 36 seasons at Cashman Field (1983-2018), the attendance total was 12,001,011.

The Aviators organization, in the finale of the homestand on Tuesday, May 14, will present Smoker’s Strike Out 16th Annual School Day Game, sponsored by the American Lung Association. The day will feature a field trip to 5th grade students in the Clark County School District for the special start time of 10:35 a.m.

Over the past 15 seasons at Cashman Field, a total of 138,526 fans attended the morning games.  Last season (May 1, 2018), a crowd of 8,874 attended the game between Sacramento/Las Vegas (Sacramento, 5-1).  The 51s hosted Tucson in the inaugural “school day” game on May 6, 2004, before a crowd of 4,224.

The Tobacco Awareness Program, through the Clark County School District, is an important event that takes place prior to the “School Day” game that serves to educate the young students on the dangers of cigarette smoking.

            MiLB Es Divertido Ser Un Fan – “It’s Fun To Be A Fan Campaign!” The Aviators will transform to the Las Vegas Reyes de Plata (“Silver Kings”) eight times during the 2019 season at the Las Vegas Ballpark.  The dates are: Sunday, May 5; Tuesday, May 7, May 21, June 4, July 2, July 23, July 30, August 20.

Minor League Baseball announced on Feb. 18, 2019 the second annual Copa de la Diversión® (Fun Cup™) event series taking place during the 2019 season.  MiLB, on July 24, 2017, launched Es Divertido Ser Un Fan, a new multi-cultural fan engagement platform aimed at specifically connecting with Hispanic/Latino baseball fans in 160 markets throughout the U.S. and Canada. The program debuted in August 2017 in select MiLB markets, including Las Vegas, Charlotte, North Carolina; Kane County, Illinois; and Visalia, California, with national expansion implemented in the 2018 season!

The Las Vegas Reyes de Plata will take the field celebrating the city and state’s pioneering history at the forefront of the precious metal mining business that continues to define the Silver State today.

Salt Lake’s roster features one of the top 10 prospects in the Angels organization, according to Baseball America: first baseman Matt Thaiss (No. 8).

Tacoma’s roster features two of the top 10 prospects in the Mariners organization, according to Baseball America: top prospect, left-handed pitcher Justus Sheffield and outfielder Braden Bishop (No. 10).

Following the homestand, the next scheduled off day for the PCL is Wednesday, May 15. Las Vegas will then embark on a brief five-game road trip to Salt Lake City, Utah to face the Bees from Thursday-Monday, May 16-20.

The Las Vegas Aviators® professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, will face the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, in the 37th season “Home Opener” in the Silver State on Tuesday, April 9 at the grand opening of Las Vegas Ballpark® at 7:05 p.m.

The first homestand of the 2019 campaign will consist of seven games against the River Cats from Tuesday-Thursday, April 9-11 (three-game series) and a four-game series against Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, from Friday-Monday, April 12-15. All games will begin at 7:05 p.m. except for Sunday, April 14 at 12:05 p.m.

The Aviators opened the 2019 campaign with a five-game road trip against El Paso Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, from Thursday-Monday, April 4-8. Las Vegas, under manager Fran Riordan, are in the first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the A’s.

El Paso has captured four straight Pacific Southern Division titles (2015-18) and will visit Las Vegas during the season homestand from April 24-28.

The Aviators organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada. Las Vegas is 17-20 (.459) all-time in season openers and 19-17 (.528) all-time home openers at Cashman Field (1982-2018).

            2018 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE (final season): In 70 dates, Las Vegas total was 332,224 for an average of 4,746 in the final season for Triple-A professional baseball at Cashman Field. Las Vegas’ largest crowd was a sellout of 12,512 vs. Sacramento on September 1. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in “home” attendance in all 36 seasons (1983-2018) and the all-time attendance total now stands at 12,001,011.

Game two of the series against the River Cats on Wednesday, April 10 will feature the first of 10 games broadcast live on YurView on Cox cable channels 14 and 1014 in high-definition.

 

$2 Beer Night will be presented in the finale of the three-game series against Sacramento on Thursday, April 11. Proper identification is required for $2 beer night.  Inaugural Logo Koozies will also be given out to the first 2,500 fans through the gates.

Magnetic 2019 Aviators Schedules will be given out to fans from Wednesday-Saturday, April 10-13.

The opener of the four-game series against Fresno on Friday, April 12 will feature an inaugural Aviators Logo Item to the first 2,5000 fans through the gates.

A spectacular post-game Fireworks Show, presented by Findlay Toyota, will be featured in the finale of the series on Friday, May 11.  The “Fireworks” shows will be featured at every Friday home game throughout the 2018 campaign.

Amed Rosario 51s Replica Jersey Night, presented by UMC of Southern Nevada, will be given out to the first 2,500 fans through the gates, in the series opener against Albuquerque on Saturday, May 12. The gates will open at 6 p.m.

Rosario, the starting shortstop for the Mets, was ranked as the 2017 Top Prospect in the Mets minor league system, according to Baseball America.  In 2017, Rosario appeared in 94 games for Las Vegas and batted .328 (129-for-393) with 19 doubles, 7 triples, 7 home runs, 58 RBI and 19 stolen bases. He was the recipient of the 2017 Mayor’s Trophy, MVP as voted on by the fans.

He then made his Major League debut with New York. He appeared in 46 games and batted .248 with 12 extra-base hits and 10 RBI.

            WestStar Credit Union “Winning Wednesday” will be featured SEVEN times during the 2018 season. The remaining dates are: May 9 vs. Fresno; June 6 vs. New Orleans; July 25 vs. Nashville; August 22 vs. Salt Lake; August 29 vs. Tacoma.

If the 51s WIN, fans can redeem their tickets for a future Sunday through Tuesday “home” game (excluding Tuesday, July 3 – Fireworks Extravaganza). MiLB (on July 24, 2017) launched Es Divertido Ser Un Fan, a new multi-cultural fan engagement platform aimed at specifically connecting with Hispanic/Latino baseball fans in 160 markets throughout the U.S. and Canada. The program debuted in August, 2017 in select MiLB markets, including Las Vegas, Charlotte, North Carolina; Kane County, Illinois; and Visalia, California, with national expansion in the 2018 season. The Las Vegas Reyes de Plata will take the field celebrating the city and state’s pioneering history at the forefront of the precious metal mining business that continues to define the Silver State today.

 

Budweiser Dollar Beer Night will be presented in game three of the four-game series against Fresno on Thursday, April 19. Dollar Beer Night will be featured at every Thursday home game during the 2018 season. Proper identification and wristbands are required for dollar beer night.

The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will return after the Triple-A All-Star Break to open an eight-game homestand on Thursday, July 13 against the Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, at 7:05 p.m. at Cashman Field. The four-game series against the Isotopes will conclude on Sunday, July 16.  Las Vegas will then host the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, in a four-game series from Monday-Thursday, July 17-20. All eight games on the homestand will begin at 7:05 p.m.

ALS of Nevada Night is dedicated to helping Nevadans afflicted with and affected by ALS to live as full and normal a life as possible. Through equipment loans, ALS specific clinics and home visits staff provide free services to ALS families throughout Nevada.

The finale of the eight-game homestand on Sunday, June 8 will feature a matinee contest at 12:05 p.m.

Fresno’s roster features three of the top 10 prospects in the Giants organization, according to Baseball America: Left-handed pitcher Edwin Escobar (No. 2); right-handed pitcher Heath Hembree (No. 7) and shortstop/second baseman Joe Panik (No. 9).

The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on Sports 920 (AM) The Game, which will carry live all 144 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the nine-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 15th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.

All 51s games (home & away) will also be broadcast on MiLB.TV via LV51.com.

Following the homestand, the 51s will begin a stretch of 16 straight games against the American Conference (June 9-24). Las Vegas will open an eight-game road trip in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Monday June 9 against the Sky Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The four-game series will conclude on Thursday, June 12. The 51s will then travel to Oklahoma City, Okla., to face the RedHawks, Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, in a four-game series from Friday-Monday, June 13-16.

Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the America First Credit Union Box Office at Cashman Field. The box office is open Monday-Friday (non-game days) from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com). Ticketmaster outlets are located at selected Smith’s Food & Drug.

The individual game tickets for the 72-game home season are priced at $10.00 (reserved, $11.00-Day of Game); $13.00 (plaza, $14.00-Day of Game) and $14.00 (field, $15.00-Day of Game) & the blue dugout seats at $25.00. The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza and reserved seats throughout the season except for the “Fireworks Extravaganza” on Thursday, July 3 (all seats are priced at $15.00 for this special event).
