Show military ID and experience the holiday spectacular for free on Nov. 19

Glittering Lights, the beloved holiday drive-through spectacular at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is showing the military its appreciation with free admission to vehicles with veteran or active military personnel on Tuesday, Nov. 19. from 5:30 – 9 p.m. Friends and family can also experience the show for free as there is no restriction to the number of guests that can ride in the vehicle. In addition, Glittering Lights is also offering $2 off every night throughout the season for all military excluding holidays.

“We support the military and all the sacrifices they have made, said Shannon Bentham, producer of Glittering Lights. “This holiday season we are giving back to the men and women who serve our country and letting them enjoy our festive attraction with their families.”

To experience the holiday light show, veterans and active duty military must present the appropriate ID at the entrance to Glittering Lights to receive free admission: U.S. Military ID, VIC ID (Veteran Identification Card), DAV ID card (Disabled American Veterans ID) or DD214. There is no limit to the amount of passengers that fit in a personal vehicle. Promotion not valid with any other offer.

Glittering Lights will be open nightly Sunday – Thursday from 5:30 – 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 – 10 p.m. at $15/vehicle on weeknights and $20/vehicle Friday – Sunday and holidays. The Living Nativity will run every Thursday – Saturday through Christmas with additional dates on Sunday, Dec. 22 – Tuesday, Dec. 24. The Nativity comes to life at this year’s celebration 

Glittering Lights, the beloved holiday drive-through spectacular, will once again illuminate the Las Vegas Motor Speedway nightly from Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 through Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014. It will feature more than 400 animated, energy-efficient LED lights along a 2.5-mile racetrack.

The attraction is back for its 13th season and its fourth at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. A new element that will debut on Friday, Nov. 29 is the Living Nativity made possible by the branches of the United Methodist Church. Another added attraction will be the Princess Fairy World and back for its second year will be the Avenue of Trees, a dazzling display of Christmas trees that pays tribute to the charities Glittering Lights has supported through Speedway Children’s Charity.

Glittering Lights will be open nightly Sunday – Thursday from 5:30 – 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 – 10 p.m. at $15/vehicle on weeknights and $20/vehicle Friday – Sunday and holidays. The Living Nativity will run every Thursday – Saturday through Christmas with additional dates on Sunday, Dec. 22 – Tuesday, Dec. 24. Glittering Lights, the holiday drive-through spectacular, is celebrating the holiday season with a photo contest presented by Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Submit photos of the displays, family reactions to Glittering Lights or photo collages for a chance to win a two-night stay at the Golden Nugget located in Downtown Las Vegas and two tickets to a show at the property. The second place photo will win two tickets to Marriage Can Be Murder, the number-one dinner theater murder mystery show in the city located at the D Las Vegas. “The holiday season is a wonderful time of year. We wanted to give visitors to Glittering Lights a chance to spread the joy and in the process win a great gift for themselves. The Glittering Lights Photo Contest is open to anyone eighteen (18) and older. Guests enjoyed a special performance by Terry Fator, great food, a celebrity red carpet and tram tours of the world’s largest light tunnel and more than 450 animated light displays along a 2.5 mile racetrack.

Celebrities in attendance included Jayne Post of Marriage Can Be Murder, Kevin Burke of Defending the Caveman, Murray Sawchuck Celebrity Magician of Tropicana’s Laugh Factory and casts of Thunder From Down Under and Fantasy. Treats were available from Popped and hot chocolate from Bad Ass Coffee. In addition, guests enjoyed delicious food by Carrabba’s Italian Grill and eggnog courtesy of Boy Scouts of America.

So far this year, there are more than a dozen local and national organizations participating in Glittering Lights, Las Vegas’ largest regional light show. Glittering Lights will be open nightly starting Nov. 16, 2012 through Jan. 6, 2013, Monday through Thursday from 5:30-9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 5:30-10 p.m.

New features added to the already spectacular holiday tradition

Glittering Lights, the holiday drive-through spectacular, will brighten Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the world’s largest light tunnel and more than 450 animated light displays along a 2.5-mile racetrack. This season Glittering Lights is expanding with more displays that include a NASCAR scene and Avenue of Trees. The largest regional holiday light show is all LED, a more energy efficient way to entertain Las Vegas, nightly from Nov. 16, 2012 through Jan. 6, 2013.

“During Glittering Lights, visitors will be able to enjoy the festivities from the warmth and comfort of their vehicle as all designs are made to be viewed from the car,” stated Shannon Bentham, co-founder of Ivory Star Productions. “With new elements, Glittering Lights will be an even more spectacular holiday experience.”

An exciting addition to Glittering Lights is the Avenue of Trees. This area is sponsored by Las Vegas Motor Speedway and will showcase over 55 charities with custom dedication signs and fully lit trees decorated by each charity.

Ivory Star Productions, a full-service, Las Vegas-based entertainment production company, is now overseeing the famed holiday spectacular, Glittering Lights, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Formerly titled Gift of Lights at Sunset Park, Glittering Lights is a Las Vegas tradition that features more than 400 light displays surrounding a 2.5-mile racetrack.
