Gavin DeGraw Partners with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas for an Exclusive Poolside Live Concert Event, July 9

GAVIN DEGRAW PARTNERS WITH HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO LAS VEGAS FOR AN EXCLUSIVE LIVE CONCERT EVENT TO PREVIEW GAVIN’S FORTHCOMING ALBUM, SWEETER IN STORES
AUGUST 9TH

THE VIP ONLY EXCLUSIVE CONCERT EVENT
“GAVIN DEGRAW POOLSIDE AT HARD ROCK LAS VEGAS”
SET FOR JULY 9TH

It was announced today that platinum-selling singer, songwriter and musician Gavin DeGraw is teaming up with the premier destination entertainment resort in Las Vegas, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for a special poolside performance on Saturday, July 9TH – (doors 7 pm) for VIPS, contest winners, and industry elite. Gavin will be performing new material from his forthcoming album SWEETER, set for release August 9TH. Singer/songwriter BC Jean will have the opening slot for the evening where select contest winners from across the country via participating Hot AC Radio stations will be able to win tickets to experience this intimate, acoustic, one time only concert event.

Gavin just released his new single “Not Over You” on June 7TH on iTunes with the album pre-order for SWEETER (RCA Records) available now at http://www.gavindegraw.com/ and other digital retailers . His brand new video for “Not Over You” premiered earlier today on VH1’s live morning show “Big Morning Buzz Live” and on VH1.com.

Entertainment Weekly describes Gavin’s brand new single, “Not Over You” which debuted most added at the Hot AC format as “a soulful majestic ballad” and People Magazine declares the “hot single” Gavin’s “welcome return” to the airwaves. Perez Hilton calls “Not Over You “power pop at its best. Truly awesome!” and Us Weekly raves “DeGraw is back with another infectiously plaintive hook on his new single…So until his next full CD Sweeter drops on August 9TH, soak up this sweet ditty.”

SWEETER, his fourth album, finds Gavin co-writing for the first time in his career on a few of the album tracks, including his work with fellow piano player and master helmer/writer Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote and produced the album’s first single “Not Over You,” and the title track “Sweeter,” as well as with Andrew Frampton (The Script, Natasha Bedingfield). Gavin also worked with a host of top-notch producers including Butch Walker (Weezer, Avril Lavigne), Eric Rosse (Sara Bareilles, Tori Amos) and Ron Aniello (Barenaked Ladies, Matt Nathanson).

The album finds the New York native — beloved for his blue-eyed soul vocals, freewheeling melodies and earthy charm — experimenting with new sounds, which resulted in a potent, swaggering strut, both musically and lyrically, on sexually charged songs such as the R&B-infused “Sweeter” and “Radiation.” The racier moments are balanced out by more emotionally transparent songs like the vigorous “Not Over You,” and the uplifting “Soldier” and “You Know Where I’m At,” which convey a vulnerability while still managing to feel distinctly masculine.

Gavin first broke through with the 2003 release of his debut album, Chariot, which sold more than a million copies, earned platinum certification and yielded three hit singles: “I Don’t Want To Be,” “Follow Through” and the title-track, “Chariot.” Gavin’s self-titled second album debuted at No. 1 on the digital sales chart and at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart in 2008, earning Gavin his first Top 10 album. It spawned the hit singles “In Love With A Girl,” and the gold-certified “We Belong Together.” In 2009, Gavin released Free as a gift to his die-hard fans clamoring for recorded versions of Gavin’s live favorites. Gavin has made numerous appearances on television shows like The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Live with Regis & Kelly, Good Morning America, and many others.

Gavin will hit the road in July with TRAIN and Maroon 5 beginning July 22ND for an extensive North American tour this summer.

Spawned from a suburban Chicago basement in the early 1970s, Styx would eventually transform into the virtual arena rock prototype by the late1970s and early 1980s, due to a fondness for big rockers and soaring power ballads.

Styx is known for hit singles and classic rock radio standards “Come Sail Away,” “Renegade,” “Blue Collar Man,” “Fooling Yourself” and “Too Much Time on My Hands.” For more info visit http://www.styxworld.com/

REO Speedwagon, originally formed in Champaign, Ill., is still led today by keyboardist Neal Doughty (founding member since 1967), Kevin Cronin (who has fronted the band since 1972 on lead vocals, guitar and keyboards), and bassist Bruce Hall (since 1977), along with lead guitarist Dave Amato (since 1989) and drummer Bryan Hitt (since 1990). Together, the band continues to define the essence of two enduring genres, arena rock during performance side, and classic with audio and visual.

REO Speedwagon is known for hits “Ridin’ The Storm Out,” “Roll With The Changes,” “Keep On Loving You,” “Take It On The Run,” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.” For more info visit http://www.speedwagon.com/.Furthur featuring Bob Weir and Phil Lesh Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m.

Deftones Saturday, June 11 at 8 p.m.
(Special guests The Dillinger Escape Plan and Le Butcherettes)
Tickets start at $30.50
On sale now
After a sold out show with Alice in Chains in fall 2010, Deftones return to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, June 11 with special guests The Dillinger Escape Plan and Le Butcherettes.

Deftones, one of the most enduring and influential forces in modern rock, released their latest album Diamond Eyes in May 2010. The sixth full-length studio effort by the Grammy-winning, platinum-certified group was produced and mixed by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters). The band recorded the album after their best friend and bassist Chi Cheng sustained a debilitating brain injury from a car accident in November 2008. MySpace.com recently premiered a new video for lead single “Diamond Eyes,” which was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Roboshobo (Metallica, Mastodon, B-52’s).

As a band out of high school, Deftones mixed trip hop with thrash, melodic vocals with crushing reverb and pretty with ugly. As chart-toppers and headliners, they have crossed over genres and defied categorization. Above all, Deftones have stuck together throughout their often-turbulent tenure and now deliver one of the most compelling records of their career.

Critics, marketers and radio alike have struggled with where to place or how to define Deftones. The band has played with punk rockers L7, toured with Metallica and appealed to some of the same fan base as Morrissey and generally defied simple, and ultimately pointless genre classification.

Kid Cudi Friday, June 24 at 9 p.m.
(Special guest Chip Tha Ripper)
Tickets start at $39.50
On sale now
Hip Hop sensation Kid Cudi’s The Cud Life Tour hits The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 24 with special guest Chip Tha Ripper.

Cudi’s first hit “Day ‘N’ Nite” was inspired by the passing of his uncle and changed his life forever. Recorded in a pitch-black room, Cudi put his heart into the gloomy pop-hit. After posting it on his MySpace, the song started racking up hits and eventually caught the attention of A-Trak, Kanye West’s former tour DJ. A-Trak fell in love with song, and Cudi ended up signing a single deal on the DJ’s Fool’s Gold label. A critically-acclaimed mixtape, A KiD Named CuDi was the MC’s first full body of work.

The game truly changed when A-Trak played “Day N Nite” at Kanye West’s “Stronger” premiere party. West loved the song and saw enough potential in Cudi that he flew him out to Hawaii to do reference hooks for Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3. Soon, West and Cudi started work on Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak album. Cudi’s sing-songy, eclectic style was the perfect match for 808s & Heartbreak and the up-and-comer ended up writing four songs. With West behind him and a Billboard hit with “Day ‘N’ Nite,” Cudi inked a deal with Kanye’s G.O.O.D music label. Soon after, he parlayed that into a major deal with Universal Motown.

On September 15, 2009, Kid Cudi released his debut album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day, a genre-bending concept album that took people through Scott Mescudi’s, aka Kid Cudi, dreams, nightmares, and unique views of the world. Featuring production from Emile, Plain Pat, RATATAT, MGMT and Kanye West, the album sold 104,419 copies its first week, landing No. 4 on the Billboard chart. The album’s reception proved Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone’s assertion that Cudi was a “game-changer in hip-hop.” To date, he’s sold over 4.6 million digital singles, 1.3 million mobiletones, and according to The Hype Machine, he is among the top ten most blogged about artists of all-time.

Cudi released his sophomore album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, in 2010. The album featured Kanye West, Mary J. Blige and GLC, with production from Emile, Plain Pat, Jim Jonsin, Diplo, Dot Da Genius and others.

In 2007, the band released Afterwords, sold exclusively through Target, which opened at No.25 on the Billboard “Comprehensive Albums” chart and No. 5 on the Billboard “Top Internet Albums” chart. “Tremble For My Beloved” found Collective Soul on the soundtrack to Twilight – one of the hottest movies of 2008.

Tickets On sale now
Hip Hop sensation Kid Cudi’s The Cud Life Tour hits The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 24 with special guest Chip Tha Ripper.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hosts Charity Benefit Circus Couture To Raise Proceeds For St. Baldrick’s Foundation

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hosts Charity Benefit Circus Couture to Raise Proceeds for St. Baldrick’s Foundation
Performance and Art event at The Joint concert venue on June 26, 2011

Circus Couture presents a unique and extravagant evening called “The Revolution,” a performance, fashion and art event inside The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 26. Comprised of performers and employees of shows on the Las Vegas Strip, Circus Couture will donate the proceeds from the event to benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Circus Couture’s “The Revolution” features both a silent and live art auction as well as explosive circus performances intertwined with runway fashion. Circus Couture was born when team Cirque du SoBald, fundraisers for St. Baldrick’s, envisioned a rock ‘n’ roll charity event that would be hip, spectacular and original. In 2010 Circus Couture’s efforts yielded a $105,000 grant to Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada. They are the only clinic in the state that treats kids with cancer regardless of their family’s ability to pay for services. The event was an unprecedented fundraising and experiential success.

“This is a city built on entertainment; it’s what Las Vegas does best. It is also a community with a heart that cares about its children. Circus Couture is a natural extension of both,” said Circus Couture Artistic Director, Erica Linz. “Last year we invented the Circus Couture wheel. This year we send it spinning with a bigger and bolder spectacle to benefit Las Vegas kids. Wait until you see “The Revolution” we have planned.”

Tickets for Circus Couture’s “The Revolution” may be purchased online at www.circus-couture.com. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door. VIP reservations may be made by contacting Brett Palmer at vip@circus-couture.com or by calling 702.217.0429. For additional information on Circus Couture, visit http://www.circus-couture.com/.

About Circus Couture
Circus Couture is a Nevada non-profit organization raising money for pediatric cancer care and research. Funds are raised through their annual circus, fashion and art events and then granted to the Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada which is the only clinic in the state that treats kids with cancer regardless of their family’s ability to pay for services. Circus Couture works closely with St. Baldrick’s Foundation and their sister fundraising team, Cirque du SoBald. Circus Couture is a volunteer organization comprised primarily of performers, technicians, and employees from shows on the Las Vegas strip. Circus Couture is a grassroots organization with no affiliation with any company or corporation. In 2011, Circus Couture and Cirque du SoBald aim to raise $110,000 to fund the deficit in a grant for the Children’s Specialty Center to continue their programs and bring new life saving treatments to Nevada’s children.

About St. Baldrick’s Foundation
St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising program for childhood cancer research. It funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization, with the exception of the U.S. government. Since 2000, events have taken place in 24 countries and 50 U.S. states, raising over $68 million. More than 106,000 volunteers have shaved their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family – each one becoming a walking billboard for the cause. Rock icons The Moody Blues’ 2011 U.S. tour makes a stop at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, May 13. The band, whose legacy spans four decades of hit-making and sell-out tours, continues to entertain audiences with their timeless music.

The Moody Blues’ legendary hit “Nights In White Satin,” originally released in 1967 from their landmark Days Of Future Passed album, recently landed at No. 2 on the UK Rock Chart and at No. 27 on the BBC Radio 1 chart, marking the fourth time the single has charted in its more than 40-year history. The song’s resurgence ignited from a recent smash cover performance by Matt Cardle, current winner of Simon Cowell’s hit UK show “The X Factor.”

The Moody Blues have sold in excess of 70 million albums worldwide and have been awarded an astonishing 14 platinum and gold albums. Their incredible roster of hits includes “Nights In White Satin,” “Tuesday Afternoon,” “Ride My See Saw,” “The Story In Your Eyes,” “Isn’t Life Strange,” “Question,” “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band),” “Your Wildest Dreams,” and “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere,” to name a few. The Moody Blues have generated sold-out tours on a consistent basis over the course of several decades, making them one of the top-grossing album and tour bands in existence.

Guitarist/vocalist Justin Hayward, bassist/vocalist John Lodge and drummer Graeme Edge offer their fans a special opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with them on their exclusive Storytellers Experiences and Backstage Tours packages, which will be available for their show at The Joint.

Deftones Saturday, June 11 at 8 p.m.
(Special guests The Dillinger Escape Plan and Le Butcherettes)
Tickets start at $30.50 On sale now
After a sold out show with Alice in Chains in fall 2010, Deftones return to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, June 11 with special guests The Dillinger Escape Plan and Le Butcherettes.

Kid Cudi at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Friday, June 24

The Cud Life Tour
KID CUDI
With special guest Chip Tha Ripper

FRIDAY, JUNE 24 AT 9PM

Tickets on-sale Saturday, May 7 at noon

Hip Hop sensation Kid Cudi is hitting the road this summer with The Cud Life Tour. He’ll be making a stop at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 24 and will be joined by special guest Chip Tha Ripper. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at noon.

Cudi’s first hit “Day N Nite” was inspired by the passing of his uncle and changed his life forever. Recorded in a pitch-black room, Cudi put his heart into the gloomy pop-hit. After posting it on his MySpace, the song started racking up hits and eventually caught the attention of A-Trak, Kanye West’s former tour DJ.

A-Trak fell in love with song, and Cudi ended up signing a single deal on the DJ’s “Fool’s Gold” label. A critically-acclaimed mixtape, presented by Pat and Emile and co-branded with NYC streetwear label 10 Deep called “A KiD Named CuDi” was the MC’s first full body of work, and released on July 17, 2008 . Things were looking up, but the game truly changed when A-Trak played “Day N Nite” at Kanye West’s “Stronger” premiere party. West loved the song, and saw enough potential in Cudi that he flew him out to Hawaii to do reference hooks for Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3. Soon, ‘Ye and Cudi started work on Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak album. Cudi’s sing-songy, eclectic style was the perfect match for 808s, and the up-and-comer ended up writing four songs (“Heartless,” “Paranoid,” “Welcome To Heartbreak,” and “Robocop”). With hype (and Kanye) behind him and a Billboard hit with “Day N Nite,” Cudi inked a deal with Kanye’s G.O.O.D music label.

The album—which featured production from Emile, Plain Pat, RATATAT, MGMT and Kanye West—sold 104,419 copies its first week, good enough for #4 on the Billboard chart. The album’s reception, both critical and commercial, proved Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone’s assertion that Cudi was a “game-changer in hip-hop”. To date he’s sold over 4.6 million digital singles, 1.3 million mobiletones, and according to The Hype Machine, he is among the top ten most blogged about artists of all-time.

Tickets, starting at $39.50 (plus applicable service fees), will be available Saturday at noon at the Hard Rock Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, online at Ticketmaster.com or charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000.

Tim McGraw has sold more than 40 million units and dominated the charts with 32 No. 1 singles, including his latest, “Felt Good On My Lips,” a bonus track from Number One Hits. With 7.8 million radio spins, he was the most-played artist of the past decade. Southern Voice, his most recent studio album, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s “Top Country Albums” chart and the title track hit No. 1 on Billboard’s “Country Songs” chart. His “Southern Voice” tour was the No. 1 country music tour of 2010. McGraw has won three Grammy awards, 14 Academy of Country Music awards, 11 Country Music Association awards, 10 American Music awards, three People’s Choice awards and numerous other awards.

Deftones Saturday, June 11 at 8 p.m.
(Special guests The Dillinger Escape Plan and Le Butcherettes)
Tickets start at $30.50
