THE LINQ PROMENADE ENHANCES ART, ENTERTAINMENT APPEAL
WITH DYNAMIC NEW FEATURES

Magic shows, live performances and dazzling art installations are now part of The LINQ Promenade’s ongoing array of attractions. The open-air retail, entertainment and dining district has added several distinctive new acts and visually dazzling art to its ongoing entertainment and attraction lineup, including a close-up magician, strolling pianist, “piano gymnast,” LED drummers and other street performers. Atmospheric entertainment at The LINQ Promenade is always free and takes place nightly, offering a wealth of photo opportunities and excitement for guests of all ages.

As an addition to their entertainment and ongoing street art demonstrations familiar to passersby at The LINQ Promenade, the open-air district has also added a blacklight-mural created by the extraordinarily talented artist, Gear Duran. Also known as Gearboxxx, Duran is the owner of GBX3 Studios, where he creates one-of-a-kind art pieces and murals.

ABOUT THE LINQ PROMENADE
The LINQ Promenade is the world-renowned, award-winning open-air district featuring more than 30 unique entertainment, retail and dining experiences with more to open in 2019. The LINQ Promenade also plays host to a variety of special events, festivals and parades throughout the year. Home to High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel, and FLY LINQ, the only zipline in the world to offer riders four ways to fly simultaneously on 10 side-by-side lines: prone frontward or backward and seated frontward or backward. With the addition of the only zipline on the Strip, The LINQ Promenade is now the center for world-class attractions. High Roller quickly emerged as an instantly recognizable part of the already-iconic Las Vegas skyline and consistently ranks as one of the best, “must see” attractions by media outlets and websites around the world, ranging from Travel + Leisure to USA Today and Trip Advisor. The wheel’s 28 glass-enclosed cabins feature an interactive 30-minute experience 550 feet in the air. The sky is the limit for in-cabin experiences such as the popular Happy Half Hour (an exclusive open bar for guests 21 and over); Chocolate Tasting with Ethel M Chocolates and Yoga in the Sky. ICEBAR TO OPEN AT THE LINQ PROMENADE THIS NOVEMBER

ICEBAR, a brand-new project created by Noel Bowman of Minus5 Ice Experience, will open this November at The LINQ Promenade. Replacing Sprinkles Cupcakes next to the Promenade’s fountain, ICEBAR will offer the unforgettable frozen ambience and frosty cocktails familiar to fans of Minus5, while also featuring new, immersive features such as dynamic projection mapping.

“We are presenting Las Vegas audiences with another exciting ice experience,” said Noel Bowman, owner, ICEBAR. “We know this coveted location will be attractive to leisure visitors strolling the Promenade, as well as corporate groups utilizing the nearby convention facilities, including the new Caesars Forum.”

Construction on ICEBAR begins this week to transform the existing space. ICEBAR will have cool, blue and green décor elements and signage on the exterior, as well as a 1,000-square-foot covered patio facing the Promenade’s fountain and a “warm space” devoted to a warm bar and lobby at the front entrance. Of course, the majority of the space will be devoted to the ice attraction, which will be 1,200 square feet and encompass more than 100 tons of hand-carved ice. The space is maintained at 32 degrees Fahrenheit by a sophisticated, state-of-the-art refrigeration system.

Once open, visitors to ICEBAR will be able to don parkas or faux fur coats to experience the venue’s chill vibe. Enhanced by dazzling artistic elements, ICEBAR showcases high-tech projection mapping, immersive ice sculptures and educational features designed to explore the art of ice. Guests ages 21 and older can select from a signature menu of chilled cocktails—such as The ICE MAN, Frozen Mojito and Frosé, all served in glasses made entirely of ice. The attraction is also family friendly, offering icy mocktails with clever names such as Jack Frost and YETI.

The venue will be available for private bookings and brand take-overs by corporate groups. Customized ice sculptures can be produced for any occasion, and branded products can even be cleverly showcased while being deep-frozen in crystal-clear blocks of ice. ICEBAR can accommodate up to 500 guests for private bookings.

“At The LINQ Promenade, we are always seeking the freshest, most distinctive mix of experiences for our guests,” said Shaun Swanger, senior vice president of attractions, retail and leasing, Caesars Entertainment. “The addition of ICEBAR represents our ongoing commitment to be the most vibrant entertainment, dining and retail destination in Las Vegas.”

For information about ICEBAR or to inquire about booking a private group, visit ICEBARLV.com.

ABOUT KARL DENSON: For nearly three decades, legendary saxophonist Karl Denson has been getting crowds around the world out on the dance floor.  Approaching iconic status, Denson has moved bodies and minds dating back to his earliest years with Lenny Kravitz’s band through his ongoing tenure as a founding member of seminal boogaloo revivalists The Greyboy Allstars and his current roll as a member of San Diego dub rockers Slightly Stoopid.  Nowhere, however, is this more apparent than with his band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe.  Touring relentlessly for the past 15 years and leaving a massive audience in his wake, fans know that when KDTU is in town a dance party will ensue.

Karl and his band are back on the road for a multi-city tour in support of their latest studio album, New Ammo, an infectious 13-track collection, and Denson’s debut release on Slightly Stoopid’s record label, Stoopid Records. Alongside Denson originals like the title track and “Everybody Knows That,” which have become fan favorites from his live sets, KDTU offers up searing versions of “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes, “Hang Me Up To Dry” by Cold War Kids and “Sure Shot” by The Beastie Boys. The first single “My Baby,” features Nicki Bluhm on vocals.

In Denson’s own words: “We’ve finally figured out how to capture in the studio what the Tiny Universe does live. We move around a lot musically, but this record reflects who we are as a band and where we’re headed with our music.”

BROWNOUT Presents BROWN SABBATH
Austin-based Psych Funk Collective Paying Tribute to BLACK SABBATH

“HAND OF DOOM” 10-Inch Feat. ALEX MAAS of THE BLACK ANGELS Due May 13
Full-Length LP to Follow June 24 on UBIQUITY RECORDS

Brown Sabbath is the alter ego of Austin-based psych-funk collective Brownout who delve deep into reinterpreting the catalog of metal godfathers, Black Sabbath. The eight-piece outfit is set to tour this summer, which includes a two night stand at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7.

The eight-piece outfit is touring in support of their debut full-length album, Brownout Presents Brown Sabbath, set for release via Ubiquity Records on June 24. They’ll also release a limited edition 10-inch, color-splattered vinyl single “Hand Of Doom,” featuring The Black Angels’ Alex Maas on vocals, on May 13.

“The Brown Sabbath idea started out like everything else we do, half inside joke, half psychotic. It was an overly ambitious attempt at challenging ourselves as musicians,” says Brownout guitarist Adrian Quesada. “Bridging the gap between our music and Black Sabbath is not as far of a stretch as it might seem though. Sabbath was not only heavy, but soulful and funky in their own dark way. Half the band grew up as metal heads too, so it came naturally. The experience is already beginning to influence our next album of original music.”

Formed ten years ago by members of Grammy Award-winning Latin revival orchestra Grupo Fantasma, Brownout has evolved into a musical force all its own. After garnering their third Austin Music Award last year, the band has continued to produce music that is unflinchingly progressive, while evoking the classic influences of artists such as WAR, Cymande and Funkadelic. They’ve performed at events including Bonnaroo, High Sierra Music Festival, Pickathon, FFFFest, Bear Creek Music Festival, Utopia Festival and Pachanga Fest, while regularly touring the United States. Brownout has also served as a highly in-demand backing band for artists including Prince, Daniel Johnston, GZA and Bernie Worrell.

With its latest recording, Brownout Presents Brown Sabbath, they remain true to the darkness, bombast and fuzz of Sabbath’s sound, while re-imagining the music with greasy Afro-Latin horns, hypnotic percussion and psyched-out, rare-groove improv. Crushing Vinyl blog called a recent performance “magical,” while OkayPlayer wrote, “frantic horn squeals but up against the restless rhythms of the band, paying deep respects.”

Holly Madison Visits Cupcake ATM at Sprinkles Las Vegas

Sprinkles Cupcakes kicked off the grand opening of its Las Vegas location at The LINQ with three days of sweet celebration.

The fun began on Wednesday at a friends and family event with people lining the walkway of The LINQ waiting for their first taste of the famous cupcakes, cookies and ice cream. Sprinkles Founder Candace Nelson hosted a VIP preview on Thursday night, spoiling guests’ dinners with sweets and champagne.

Sprinkles officially opened its doors to the public on Friday, March 21 at 10 a.m. with a line of enthusiasts eagerly waiting outside. Longtime Sprinkles fan Holly Madison stopped by to be the first person to withdraw a cupcake out of the 24-hour Cupcake ATM. Holly chose her favorite flavor, vanilla, before tasting chocolate ice cream in a red velvet waffle cone which matched her new red locks. She also took mini cupcakes home to daughter, Rainbow, and doggy cupcakes for her pooches.

“I’m really excited about Sprinkles coming to Vegas and The LINQ,” said Madison. “Both visitors to Vegas and locals will love it.”

“Bringing Sprinkles to Las Vegas at last is a dream,” said Nelson. “My husband and I have been working on this for years, looking for a perfect location and we found it here at The LINQ in the shadow of the High Roller!”

Sprinkles is open Monday through Wednesday 10 a.m. to midnight and Thursday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.

CALLING IT “A LITTLE PIECE OF HOME IN LAS VEGAS”, ELVIS COSTELLO AND THE ROOTS CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF BROOKLYN BOWL LAS VEGAS

“On the fast path to being Vegas’ über cool place” – People Magazine

“A new answer to that oft-asked concert question: Where would you like your favorite band to play when it comes through town?” – Las Vegas Weekly

Opening weekend concert lineup included The Roots (Friday, March 14) and Elvis Costello and The Roots (Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16)

BROOKLYN BOWL celebrated its opening weekend with a lineup of concerts that included a sold-out midnight show by The Roots on Friday, March 14 as well as a two-night concert event by Elvis Costello and The Roots on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16. The media and VIP night on Sunday was attended by Tony Hsieh (Zappos), Vinnie Paul (Pantera), Holly Madison (The Girls Next Door, Holly’s World), Australian vocal group Human Nature and star of Pin Up, Claire Sinclair.

Elvis Costello and The Roots took to the stage for almost two and a half hours on Saturday and Sunday night and played songs off of their 2013 album, Wise up Ghost. The weekend is only the third time they performed the album live, with their first performance taking place at Brooklyn Bowl New York. The album debuted at number 16 on The Billboard 200 chart in September 2013. In addition to performing many of the group’s collaborations, the night included performances of Costello’s greatest hits such as “(I Don’t Want To Go To) Chelsea”,” I Want You” and “Allison.” After two encore sets, The Roots and Costello finished the evening with a high-energy performance of “Pump It Up.”

“We couldn’t be happier with how we have been received by the Las Vegas crowd.” said Peter Shapiro, Founder of Brooklyn Bowl.  “We set the bar pretty high with our location in Brooklyn and our recent opening in London, but after seeing the excitement and energy from the crowd this weekend, we know we have found a new home in Las Vegas.”

Occupying 80,000 square feet inside The LINQ, Caesars Entertainment’s open air district in the center of the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, concert goers are able to enjoy a live concert experience, 32 lanes of bowling and rockin’ comfort food by the world-renowned Bromberg Brothers’ Blue Ribbon Restaurants, including their iconic Fried Chicken celebrated on Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.”
