Paulina Rubio to Perform at The Star of the Desert Arena

Tickets are on sale now for Mexican pop diva Paulina Rubio in concert on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Star of the Desert Arena at Primm Valley Casino Resorts. Guests will enjoy Rubio’s Latin pop hits, including “Mi Nuevo Vicio” and “Desire (Me Tienes Loquita).” Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $30.

Rubio began singing as a child, taking singing, dance and acting lessons at the Centro de Educación Artística (CEA) in Mexico when she was five years old. When she was 10 years old, she was recruited to join pop group Timbiriche, which launched her singing career. Rubio left the group in 1991 to release her debut solo album “La Chica Dorada” in 1992. The album reached the top 50 on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and second on the Billboard Latin Pop chart, while her first single “Mío” reached third on Billboard’s Hot Latin Tracks chart. In addition to having a successful career on the stage, Rubio has since gone on to star in movies and television shows, including being a judge on “The X Factor” andLa Voz Kids.”

Affinity Gaming Donates Additional $26,400 to Alzheimer’s Association During Walk to End Alzheimer’s

 

As part of its continued partnership, Affinity Gaming donated $26,400 to the Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Las Vegas at Town Square last Sunday, Oct. 27.

Primm Valley Casino Resorts General Manager Stuart Richey presented the check to Desert Southwest Chapter Executive Director Dan Lawler and Regional Director Kate Ingalsby before joining more than 1,900 Affinity Gaming employees walking.

“We’re very proud to be associated with the Alzheimer’s Association. This is very close to my heart as my father is battling the disease right now. Not only am I proud to be part of this, but I can also understand the caregivers out there and how difficult this is. We want to continue the work to fight this thing,” said Richey.

Since 2016, Affinity Gaming has contributed $206,650 to the association with the majority of that contribution staying in Southern Nevada.
