In honor National Pancake Day, all PT’s Taverns, including PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, PT’s Ranch, PT’s Brewing Company, Sean Patrick’s, Sierra Gold and SG Bar, will offer $3 buttermilk pancakes all day on Thursday, Sept. 26.

 

PT’s buttermilk pancakes are served in a stack of three, topped with powdered sugar and maple syrup and will be discounted for the holiday. Additionally, PT’s Happy Hour offerings are available daily from 5 to 7 p.m., and midnight to 2 a.m. Selections priced at $6 include Sriracha chicken bites and loaded potato skins; $7 selections include a half-pound pub burger and chicken parmesan sliders; and flatbreads, including three-cheese, meat feast, the Gilroy and buffalo chicken, will be priced at $8.

PT’s Happy Hour, named “Best Happy Hour” by the Las Vegas Weekly in 2019, includes offerings available daily from 5 to 7 p.m., and midnight to 2 a.m. PT’s Happy Hour offers a 50 percent discount on drinks including wines by the glass, premium spirits and all craft and import beer, which includes PT’s own craft brews such as the Golden Hefeweizen and Hualapai IPA.

 

Other PT’s Happy Hour selections include $6 include Sriracha chicken bites and loaded potato skins; $7 half-pound pub burgers and chicken parmesan sliders; and $8 flatbreads, including three-cheese, meat feast, the Gilroy and buffalo chicken. Menus vary by location.

Etna’s Benanti Winery with owner Antonio Benanti at an exclusive, four-course dinner showcasing top-rated wines from this emerging winemaking destination. Ambra Italian Kitchen + Bar is officially dishing up delicious food, refreshing cocktails and good vibes nightly at MGM Grand. The Strip’s newest restaurant blends classic Italian fare and craft cocktails with its colorful surroundings, creating a fun and convivial dinner experience. Food
Ambra embraces a simple, yet refined approach to food using conventional cooking methods and flavors found throughout different regions of Italy. Designed for sharing, the menu showcases an assortment of crudos and antipasti, housemade pastas, savory main courses and sweet desserts.

Highlights of Ambra’s menu include:

  • Shareable starters: The Ambra Tower is stacked with king crab, lobster tail, Wild Gulf shrimp, oysters and an assortment of scallop, salmon and tuna crudos. Additional offerings include the Prime Beef Tartare with truffle vinaigrette, walnuts and black garlic salsa and Meatballs al Forno, made with Wagyu beef and served on a bed of whipped Ricotta with a shaved Pecorino Romano finish.

  • Traditional Entrees: Carved tableside, the 45 Day Dry-Age Tomahawk Ribeye  is served with charred lemon and roasted garlic. Additional specialties include the Wild Spanish Carbineros “Shrimp Scampi” sautéed with olive oil, garlic, parsley and lemon and the Whole Grilled Branzino, prepared on a wood-fired grill, complete with a salsa verde and charred lemon.

    • Pera: A semi-sweet blend of Malfy Gin, St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur, lemon and Apple Pie Bitters, topped with Eric Bordelet Pear Cider and a foamy egg white cap for a smooth finish.
  • Privata -. The intimate speakeasy within Ambra is a relaxing reprieve offering guests a tour through years of beloved drinks beginning with the 1850 Sazerac, first created in New Orleans with cognac, Demerara, Peychaud’s bitters and an absinthe rinse, to the 1940 Margarita, originating in Mexico during the turn of the 20th century. Privata is an ode to liquid history with a menu highlighting cocktails that are simple yet intricate and refined.  The cocktail menu details the offerings chronologically including illustrations, recipes and historical information.

Design
Reminiscent of Milan at dusk, Ambra is adorned with warm jewel tones and rich earthy shades. Freed’s Bakery, the subject of Food Network’s hit show, “Vegas Cakes,” is bringing more sweets to the Las Vegas Valley with the opening of Freed’s Dessert Shop, the company’s new boutique patisserie concept offering an array of decadent pastries, cookies and more. A grand opening celebration will be held in October.

 

Located at 10870 W. Charleston #110 in Summerlin, this will be the company’s fourth location and its third Freed’s Dessert Shop. The first Freed’s Dessert Shop opened last year in Northwest Las Vegas at 6475 N. Decatur and in May, Freed’s opened a second Freed’s Dessert Shop location inside T-Mobile Arena. The family-owned bakery was established in Las Vegas in 1959.

 

“My family opened Freed’s Bakery in Las Vegas 60 years ago,” said Max Fried, general manager of Freed’s Bakery. “We are thrilled to be growing with the Las Vegas Valley with the addition of our new Freed’s Dessert Shop in Summerlin.”

 

The 1400-square-foot Freed’s Dessert Shop will offer signature pastries, cookies and other baked goods, including Freed’s strawberry shortcake, delicate white cake filled and iced with sweetened whipped cream and fresh sliced strawberries; cannoli, pastry dough filled with a blend of sweet ricotta, cinnamon, and chocolate chips; and Parisian cake, rich chocolate cake layered and iced with Belgian chocolate blended whipped cream and topped with chocolate shavings. This summer, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar offers a way to travel the flavors of Italy without leaving Las Vegas with its Summer Regional Menu Series, a changing rotation of prix fixe menus inspired by Italy’s most renowned culinary regions. The next Summer Regional Menu spotlights Sardegna—known as Sardinia in English—and launches Aug. 9 and continues through Aug. 22. Consequently, sheep’s milk pecorino cheese and local variations—such as Fiore Sardo—is ubiquitous. The monthly event gives patrons the opportunity to round up for charity and proceeds from the day’s specialty dish go directly to the campaign, which recognizes and supports officers who, day-in and day-out, work hard to keep the Las Vegas community safe. This August, Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas and the LVMPD Foundation will celebrate Best of the Badge medal recipients.

ANNOUNCES FIRST-EVER CELEBRITY BURGER CHARITY PROGRAM

Las Vegas-Based Entertainers Create the Burgers of Their Dreams 
in Order to Benefit the Charities of Their Choice 

 

 Las Vegas-based celebrities are creating themed burgers to benefit local charities. Smoked Burgers & BBQ at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is announcing its 2019 schedule of its inaugural Celebrity Burger Charity Program, with each burger created to have a portion of proceeds donated to the charity of their choice. The Celebrity Burger Charity Program officially begins Aug. 1 and will run through Dec. 2019 with plans to continue the program into next year. 

“We asked well-known and beloved Las Vegas celebrities to create the burgers of their dreams based on their personal preferences. We had a fantastic time working side-by-side to develop these burgers and ultimately have proceeds benefit charities in our community,” says Joey Pintozzi, co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing, Hospitality Boulevard.

The Celebrity Burger line-up to include: 

August – Mat Franco at The LINQ Hotel + Experience

  • Burger: “The Spicy Mat Franco” – Beyond Meat burger patty, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeños and smoked sriracha ketchup on a vegan bun served with mesquite or sweet potato fries.
  • Charity: The Animal Foundation
  • Price: $18 

September – Donny & Marie at Flamingo Las Vegas

  • Burger: “It Takes Two” – 2 Angus beef patties, American cheese, house ketchup, mustard, onions and pickles on a brioche bun, served with mesquite or sweet potato fries. 
  • Charity: Children’s Miracle Network

October – Penn & Teller at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino

  • Burger: “The Penn & Teller Veggie Burger” – Beyond Meat burger patty, tomatoes, onion, cheddar cheese and Smoked Burgers & BBQ signature smoked sauce on a brioche bun served with mesquite or sweet potato fries. 
  • Charity: Aid for Aids of Nevada – AFAN

 November – Jeff Civilico at Paris Las Vegas

  • Burger: “The Juggler” – Beyond Meat burger patty, organic mixed greens, sautéed mushrooms, avocado, smoked sriracha ketchup served on a brioche bun served with mesquite or sweet potato fries. (Add a fried egg for $2.00)
  • Charity: Win-Win Entertainment 
  • Price: $18  

December – Mac King at Harrah’s Las Vegas

  • Burger: “The Big Mac King Burger” – Beyond Meat burger patty, lettuce, tomato, red onion, dill pickles and bleu cheese with mustard aioli on a brioche bun served with mesquite or sweet potato fries.
  • Charity: Susan G. Komen Nevada
  • Price: $18

“What better way to encourage guests to donate to a worthy cause than by feeding them! I think it’s amazing that Smoked Burgers & BBQ is creating awareness for these charities while guests simultaneously chow down on a big juicy burger,” concludes Mac King, comedian, Mac King Show.

All Celebrity Burgers will be priced under $20 and available throughout the month with 10 percent of sales benefitting the charities. All burgers can be made vegan upon request.

every two weeks through summer. 

This summer, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar offers a way to travel the flavors of Italy without leaving Las Vegas with its Summer Regional Menu Series, a changing rotation of prix fixe menus inspired by Italy’s most renowned culinary regions. Each four-course menu is offered for a superb summertime value of $49 per person; wines selected to complement each menu are offered at special prices as well.

The next Summer Regional Menu spotlights Piemonte—known as The Piedmont in English—and launches July 26 and will be featured through Aug. 8. Piemontese features on this menu include Castelmagno cheese (served with a warm artichoke flan); pasta stuffed with roasted meat (raviolini filled with short ribs); and the indulgent Bonet, a dessert consisting of a steamed pudding featuring eggs, sugar, milk, cocoa and liquor (in this case, Disaronno amaretto).
