RiSE Lantern Festival Continues to Uplift and Inspire for a
Sixth Year in Nevada’s Mojave Desert

October 4-5, 2019 – Tickets on Sale Feb. 7

RiSE Lantern Festival, an inspirational gathering and movement created to awaken and uplift, returns to the Mojave Desert on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5, 2019. Located just 25 miles south of Las Vegas near the Jean Dry Lake Bed, tickets for each evening of the festival are on sale beginning February 7 and are expected to go quickly.

RiSE Festival is a celebratory event where thousands gather in an un-touched, serene environment to take part in a breathtaking, headlining moment of the simultaneous lantern release. Launched in 2014 near Las Vegas, RiSE is the first festival of its kind to take place in the United States and is currently the largest lantern event in the world, with events planned for Australia and Dubai. Each year, more than 25,000 guests join together to lift their spirits through witnessing an awe-inspiring release of paper sky lanterns.

The festival begins mid-afternoon, when participants gather to connect and listen to a soulful lineup of live musical acts and indulge in a variety of food and beverage offerings. Later, under moonlight, guests release their personalized lanterns simultaneously, signifying a collective intention for our individual hopes and dreams. In keeping with its commitment to sustainability, all RiSE lanterns are 100% biodegradable and are collected and property disposed of, along with any other area litter, by RiSE event staff.

RiSE’s 2019 tickets will go on sale Thursday, February 7 at 9:00 am PT at risefestival.com. A special limited pre-sale will be available February 6 for those who register for the RiSE notify list in advance. RiSE Lantern Festival Opened Festival Gates, Uniting Thousands of Attendees for Year Four

RiSE Lantern Festival Opened Festival Gates, Uniting Thousands of Attendees for Year Four

The RiSE Lantern Festival returned to Nevada for a fourth year at the Mojave Desert October 6 and 7, 2017. Created to celebrate the collection of participants hopes, dreams and wishes, this year’s festival was particularly special, as many were able to honor those in the wake of the Las Vegas tragedy on Oct.1.

The simultaneous release of thousands of lanterns created a breathtaking moment, that for some served as a floating vigil in the sky, welcoming over guests from across the country. Festival organizers and attendees extended heartfelt condolences to loved ones of the fallen victims while other participants also embraced the prayers and wishes of others through the “Still I Rise” social media campaign launched earlier this year, giving non-attendees an opportunity to share their messages.

To complement the event, guests were welcomed to live music, in addition to a selection of food and beverage offerings enjoyed in the newly added lounge areas. At sundown, the first release of lanterns allowed for an astronomical feeling – filling the Mojave Desert sky with a multitude of sky lanterns each night. After the second release, the event concluded with a collection of fireworks. Participants planning to attend RiSE in 2018 can anticipate the RiSE Spa and Resort – an all-new addition to the festival. The new amenity will include a camping experience along with other meals, services and possible excursions.
