DRYBAR LAS VEGAS FLAGSHIP SHOP OPENING JULY 1

After much anticipation, Drybar will open shop in Las Vegas in the Miracle Mile Shops Friday, July 1. Drybar’s refreshingly simple concept: “No cuts. No color. Just blowouts” has captivated a legion of loyal clients nationwide. The 2,797 square foot Las Vegas shop is the brand’s largest footprint to date, with 20 styling chairs and features all of the signature elements that define the unique Drybar experience. However, exclusive for Las Vegas, the flagship shop has a full cocktail bar, built-in photo booth and live DJ, as well as an Event Manager to host and plan parties for all occasions. The Las Vegas shop aspires to be the ultimate “pre-party” destination for ladies visiting Sin City.

The Las Vegas shop is Drybar’s 63rd location, and with additional openings on the horizon in NYC, Los Angeles, and Miami, the brand is on track to have over 70 locations by the end of 2016.

“We are beyond thrilled to finally be open in Las Vegas,” said Alli Webb, founder of Drybar. “Our clients have been anxiously awaiting a location on the strip for years and we’re so excited to finally make it a reality.” Drybar will be conveniently located just inside the North Entrance of Miracle Mile Shops just off Las Vegas Boulevard, across from Sephora and the Planet Hollywood casino.

Drybar provides professional blowouts at a flat price, regardless of hair length or thickness (wash included!). The list of styles reads like a cocktail menu: the Cosmo (lots of loose curls), the Straight Up (straight with a little body), the Southern Comfort (big hair, lots of volume), the Mai Tai (messy and beachy), the Manhattan (sleek and smooth) the Dirty Martini (tousled and textured) and for the little ladies, the Shirley Temple.

At the core of the experience is Drybar’s over-the-top customer service and obsessive attention to every last detail. The Las Vegas shop features Drybar’s signature design, including custom Italian chairs, tufted fabric walls, marble bars with built-in phone docking stations, and flat screens featuring your favorite chick flicks. Drybar also offers a full line of professional hair styling products & tools, created for the perfect blowout. The brand launched exclusively with Sephora in March of 2013, and is now in all 319 U.S. Sephora doors, along with select Ulta and Bloomingdale’s locations. In fall 2015, Drybar launched their product line in all 117 U.S. Nordstrom doors, 53 Canadian Sephora doors, and opened their first store-within-a-store concept in Nordstrom’s Pacific Centre flagship store in Vancouver, B.C.

Founded by longtime stylist Alli Webb, Drybar has become a regular stop for celebs such as Julia Roberts, Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Garner, Chrissy Teigen, Zooey Deschanel, Emma Roberts, Lana Del Rey, Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rita Ora, Rose McGowan, Molly Sims, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus, Nina Garcia, Katherine Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver—just to name a few!

Named one of the top “100 Brilliant Ideas of 2010” by Entrepreneur magazine and New York Magazine’s Boom Brands of 2013, Drybar is based on the simple concept of focusing on one thing and being the best at it. The idea was a natural one for founder Alli Webb and came from a lifetime of frustration overpaying for blowouts at traditional salons. Alli was named 100 Most Creative People in Business in 2013 by Fast Company, and was featured on the Cosmo 2013 Power List by Cosmopolitan magazine, as well as the Fortune 40 under 40 List. “The Drybar Guide To Good Hair For All,” the first book by Alli Webb, will be published in October 2016 by Abrams Publishing.

Drybar Las Vegas is open Monday – Thursday 8AM-11PM, Friday – Saturday 8AM-12AM and Sunday 8AM-11PM.*

Photos: Anna Kendrick, Rita Ora, Tony Parker and more at TAO, LAVO and Marquee

Saturday afternoon swimwear model Genevieve Morton hosted the daytime party at TAO Beach. After arriving on the red carpet, she made her way to the grand cabana overlooking the entire party scene with friends. The group sipped on a few drinks and danced the afternoon away to the sounds of DJ Eric D-Lux.

That evening, actress Anna Kendrick was spotted having dinner at TAO Asian Bistro. The “Pitch Perfect” star and her boyfriend enjoyed Kobe Tartare Tempura, Satay of Chicken with peanut sauce and ended the evening on a sweet note with Yuzu sugar dusted doughnuts and molten chocolate cake served with coconut ice cream.

Also on Saturday evening, San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker dined at LAVO Italian Restaurant. The point guard a large group of friends enjoyed several signature dishes including the chopped “Louie” salad, margherita pizza, chicken marsala and more. Parker graciously posed for photos with fans also inside the restaurant.

Later, pop singer and actress Rita Ora hosted the night at TAO Nightclub. The upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” starlet arrived and posed for photos on the red carpet looking stunning in a black leather jumpsuit. The British beauty then made her way inside to a VIP table on the dance floor with a group of friends which included her sister, Elena. Shortly after, she took the stage overlooking the entire venue to surprise partygoers with a performance of her mega-hit “How We Do,” and her latest single “I Will Never Let You Down,” to which the crowd sang along word for word. Revelers had an exclusive first listen as Ora performed her brand new song titled “Put Your Love On Me.” Before heading off the stage she took the time to sing “Happy Birthday” for several people in the packed house celebrating birthdays and thanked the ecstatic crowd, reminding them how much she loved them all. After returning to her table, the blonde bombshell changed in to a Black Flag band t-shirt and spent the rest of her night dancing to the sounds of DJ Vice and playfully posing for photos with her friends. Throughout the night she happily posed for several photos with fans in the crowd and a neighboring VIP table event sent over a bottle of Dom Perignon for her group to enjoy.

Snowboarder and Olympic Gold Medalist Sage Kotsenburg was spotted at Marquee Nightclub. Kotsenburg was celebrating his 21st birthday with a group of friends from a VIP table.

DRAI’S ENTERTAINMENT, TURN FIRST ARTISTS
& CAPITOL RECORDS ANNOUNCE THE FIRST
RECORDING LABEL BASED ON THE LAS VEGAS STRIP

360 Degree Service for After Hours EDM Artists:
Recording Contract, Venue Residency and Artist Development

After Hours, the new record label from Drai’s Entertainment, Turn First Artists and Capitol Records will be the first recording label of-its-kind to be based on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, while drawing upon the three highly successful business models of its partners: Turn First’s hands-on management; A&R and elevation expertise; Capitol’s A&R, product marketing and industry skills and Drai’s world renowned venue prestige.

After Hours will offer a bespoke 360 degree service for their artist: a residency in one of Las Vegas’ most illustrious performance spaces, the new Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub at The Cromwell Hotel & Casino, and access to a participating network of equally eminent venues, including Drai’s After Hours and Liaison Nightclub, alongside a recording contract, complete artist development and the very best A&R consultancy.

“With all of our clubs and venues open literally at the center of the Las Vegas Strip – Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub, After Hours and Liaison – we are immersed in EDM culture,” states Victor Drai. “We have created the most spectacular venues to feature artists nightly in front of thousands of guests from around the globe. Having a record label is the next logical step for Drai’s Enterprises. We are looking forward to discovering and showcasing the next generation of music.”

The brand founders boast industry success stories as far back as the 1970s. Victor Drai is one of Las Vegas’ most enterprising individuals whose venues and ventures have consistently won critical acclaim along with their commercial success. Sarah Stennett, CEO of Turn First Artists, has the acute ability to identify talent at the earliest stages having developed the careers of Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Jessie J and many more. Capitol Chairman & CEO Steve Barnett has revolutionized the repertoires, reputation and revenue of every label he has worked with, whilst Duncan King has an unrivalled record as a label manager having developed Deadmau5’s Mau5trap imprint before going on to work for AEI Media, the brand and content curator powerhouse behind UKF amongst others.

“We all share a unique vision to launch the first dance label on the strip in Vegas,” explains Sarah Stennett. “We have a unique platform to break and develop talented DJ producers. The artists who work with us will be developed with a unique opportunity to DJ as a resident at one of the most exciting clubs in the world. These artists will be able to release through a label that has the clout of a major and the bespoke services of a fast moving independent dance label. The core team is hugely ambitious and experienced and the infrastructure we have set up around the label will yield very significant early successes.”

With offices in Las Vegas, London, New York and Los Angeles, After Hours will enjoy a global viewpoint of the EDM sphere. The label offers the scale of a major but with the flexibility to react to fast-paced market requirements. Complete with full management team and a live network of award-winning venues across the US, After Hours will amplify the artists’ music and brand beyond conventional streams, strategically building DJs’ live careers on a global platform.

“All of us at Capitol are very excited about After Hours and our partnerships with Turn First Artists and Drai’s Entertainment,” Barnett elaborates. “With Drai’s providing our joint venture with an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind nightclub venue in Las Vegas, we have an exciting platform from which to accelerate the careers of artists in the EDM realm and share their talents with audiences around the world.”
