MIRACLE MILE SHOPS RAISES $7,800 FOR BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF SOUTHERN NEVADA DURING ROCKIN’ HOLIDAYS, DEC. 5   

On Thursday, Dec. 5, Miracle Mile Shops helped raise $7,800 for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada during Rockin Holidays, an evening of shopping, dining and entertainment at Oh My Godard Gallery.

The evening kicked off at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception featuring savory appetizers from Cabo Wabo Cantina and PBR Rock Bar & Grill and holiday-themed libations from Sin City Brewing Co. and Halo Bar. During the cocktail reception, renowned artist Michael Godard captivated guests with a live art demonstration, which he auctioned off to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs. The evening included remarks from Ken Rubeli, chief executive officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, and kids from Boys & Girls Clubs sang holiday songs to the crowd.

Attendees also enjoyed a live DJ, special one-night-only shopping and dining offers from multiple merchants at Miracle Mile Shops and their choice of a complimentary show ticket voucher to either V – The Ultimate Variety Show, VEGAS! The Show or B – Beatleshow, courtesy of David Saxe Productions.

In addition to Rockin’ Holidays, Miracle Mile Shops will continue to raise money for the organization by collection donations in its fountain during the month of December. All change tossed in the popular water feature and the indoor rainstorm will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.

JDDRF KICKED OFF MONTH-LONG FOUNTAIN FUNDRAISER AT MIRACLE MILE SHOPS ON NOV.1  

On Friday, Nov. 1, youth ambassadors and family members from the local JDRF chapter, the world’s largest supporter of type 1 diabetes research, gathered in front of Miracle Mile Shops’ blue fountain to kick off the retail center’s month-long fountain fundraiser. Afterwards, the group received complimentary tickets to V – The Ultimate Variety Show at V Theater courtesy of David Saxe Productions.

As part of its Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign, Miracle Mile Shops’ fountain displays a bold blue hue in between regularly-scheduled shows now through Saturday, Nov. 30. All change tossed into the popular water feature as well as the center’s indoor rainstorm will be donated to the local JDRF chapter. Additionally, throughout the month, Pampas Churrascaria Brazilian Grille is offering guests who make a $5 donation to JDRF a two-for-one dining special valid through the end of the month.

Miracle Mile Shops’ partnership with the Nevada Chapter of JDRF is part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing campaign, celebrating a year of change in 2013. In addition to monthly fountain fundraisers, the Caring, Giving, Changing campaign also raises funds for other programs and organizations through community sponsorships, additional partnerships and a number of cash and in-kind donations.

This May, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will partner with Communities In Schools of Nevada in support of Clark County teachers and students. All month long, all change tossed into the fountain and indoor rainstorm at Miracle Mile Shops will benefit Communities In Schools of Nevada as part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign

In addition, Miracle Mile Shops will extend dining and entertainment specials to Clark County School District teachers for the entire month of May. Eleven restaurants, including PBR Rock Bar & Grill, Lobster ME and Pampas Churrascaria Brazilian Grille, will provide special offers and discounts on entrées and dining bills, while “VEGAS! To support Communities In Schools of Nevada’s mission of empowering students to stay in school so they can achieve in life, Miracle Mile Shops will welcome a group of high school students from the organization’s Fellows Program to the center for a job shadow event on Thursday, May 17. Students will be paired with Miracle Mile Shops’ management team and merchant executives to observe daily activities and learn about the business of running a major shopping center.

Communities In Schools of Nevada is the local affiliate of the nation’s leading dropout prevention organization and Nevada’s most effective intervention organization. The organization’s unique model places a coordinator inside schools to assess needs and deliver necessary resources that remove barriers to success.
