Nationally acclaimed comedians return to entertain, offering memorable night out downtown

 

The Comedy Works will reopen at the Plaza Hotel & Casino with nationally acclaimed headliners, Nick Di Paolo on Nov. 20 and 21 and Kevin Farley on Dec. 4 and 5. Shows will be held inside the Plaza’s classic Vegas showroom featuring red velvet booth seating, an updated sound system, full bars and table cocktail service with ticket prices starting at only $20. Friday, Nov. 20 at 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.: Nick Di Paolo – Offering fun, socially relevant humor, Di Paolo has performed on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Conan O’ Brien. He was twice nominated for an Emmy for his writing on HBO’s The Chris Rock Show and had three standup specials on Comedy Central and most recently the controversial “A Breath of Fresh Air.” On film, Nick has been featured on FX’s Louie, Inside Amy Schumer, The Sopranos, Cop Show and CK’s critically acclaimed Horace and Pete as well as many other sitcoms. Nick can currently be heard hosting “The Nick Di Paolo” show on YouTube, Monday through Thursday.

 

 

Friday, Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. and Saturday Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.: Kevin Farley – After studying at the famous Second City in Chicago, Farley starred in films such as Black Sheep with his brother Chris Farley and The Waterboy with Adam Sandler. He is a regular comedian at notable venues such as The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles and Chicago and The Improv in Los Angeles and Palm Beach, Florida. His TV guest appearances include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Rules of Engagement, Hot in Cleveland, Just Shoot Me, United States of Tara, True Jackson, VP, Comedy Central’s Drunk History, and Hawaii Five -O to name just a few.

 

Every show will abide by strict health and safety standards. Reduced audience capacity and limited seating will allow for necessary social distancing inside the showroom. A minimum of six feet between groups is required, including while waiting in line, and all customers will be seated by a host who will keep groups to a maximum of six people, providing they are from the same household. Highly touched surfaces are sanitized and disinfected regularly, and all staff and patrons are required to wear masks except while eating or drinking. The stage and its performers are 25 feet away from audience members. All staff and customers will have their temperature checked upon entering the property with a contactless thermometer. Multiple hand sanitizer stations are available, and beverages during the show will be served in disposable service ware.
