The Cooking Experience by Mise En Place Offers Baking Class for Young Chefs

The Cooking Experience

The Cooking Experience Creates an Interactive Kitchen for Young Chefs

The Cooking Experience by Mise En Place dedicates weekend mornings to children with a fun and interactive baking class, Le Petit.

Le Petit provides children 5-12 years old a place to learn the art of baking in a safe environment, encouraging discovery and creativity. A demonstration on how to bake treats like cookies, cupcakes, and brownies is presented to the parents, while kids expand their imagination by decorating the tasty goods. Guardians are welcome to join the decorating extravaganza or sit back and watch their little chef explore their originality. After the course, every child takes home all the scrumptious treats they’ve created along with a chef hat and apron.

Teaching the hour and a half course is Chef Colleen Conlon who is excited to fill the role as pastry chef at The Cooking Experience. She brings years of experience from top restaurants including N9NE Steakhouse, NOVE Italiano and STACK.

“It is such a pleasure teaching children that are so eager to learn and open to new experiences,” says Chef Colleen. “My goal is to have the kids leave each class excited about food and wanting to learn more.”

Le Petit classes are held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays with each class offering a limit of 20 participants. The hands on experience costs $35 per couple (parent/child) with an additional $15 per extra child. Class calendars, registration and gift certificates are available for purchase at www.miseenplacenv.com.
