The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails offers live entertainment Thursday-Sunday, along with small bites available for purchase. A Nightmare on Essex Street

Beauty & Essex invites the adventurous to uncover the secrets hidden beyond the conspicuous pawn shop for A Nightmare on Essex Street this Halloween weekend. Inside the lavish, jewel-toned restaurant, guests can indulge in Halloween specials amidst a haunted ambiance and nosh on ultra-exclusive culinary and cocktail offerings.
For those looking to truly tempt and tease this Halloween, dive into a 40-day, Four Bone Berkshire Pork Rack, accompanied with roasted winter root vegetables, butternut squash purée, smoked cranberry and port wine jus. Leave room for a delicious Graveyard Meltdown, which will have guests delving into a combination of gooey chocolate cake, cookies and cream bits, a dark chocolate pastry cream, decadent chocolate ganache and creepy-crawly gummy worms. Both spooky dishes are sure to be so delicious, it’s scary. Expect nothing short of a celebration with Beauty & Essex’s Trick or Treat Wonder Wheel. The infamous dessert vehicle returns with a new fall assortment including pumpkin truffles, bat cookies, candy corn mini cupcakes and Halloween candy that will be sure to spook your senses. Commemorate Día de los Muertos all weekend long with China Poblano’s celebratory menu inspired by Josefina Velázquez de León; chef, teacher and culinary anthropologist of the rich and diverse cuisine of Mexico. Choose from classic Mexican dishes like Taco Flor de Jamaica (Hibiscus flower taco), Sopa Azteca, Tamale Mole Negro and Pumpkin Flan while sipping on the inspired Camino al Cielo (Road to Heaven) cocktail.
On Monday, Nov. 2 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., guests can celebrate Día de los Muertos from the comfort of their own homes with China Poblano’s Secret Burger Take-Home festival menu, also inspired by Josefina Velázquez de León. The menu, serving portions for 1-2 people, includes House Chips & Salsa, Pato con Mole Poblano, Camarones y Flor de Calabaza Chile Relleno and Sugar Skull Cookies. The Classic or Prickly Pear Margaritas will elevate the experience as guests enjoy a meal to the songs of China Poblano’s Spotify playlist, which is also included.
Order ahead online and pick up a Secret Burger Take Home meal from China Poblano on Level 2 of The Boulevard Tower. Proof of ID is required at time of pickup.

The decadent Pumpkin Dulce de Leche Cake is the perfect cozy, pumpkin confection with layers of cinnamon spice cake, pumpkin frosting, gooey dulce de leche drizzle, crunchy milk crumbs and salty toasted pepitas. Available at $60 for a 6-inch cake, or $14 for an individual slice.
