“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”
Set Designs from the Masterminds of Cirque de Soleil
The Dr. Miriam & Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus presents “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown,” Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 22 at 6 p.m. Directed by theater teacher Thom Culcasi, this production will feature set designs from the masterminds of Cirque du Soleil. “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown,” is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner. In 1967 the musical comedy started off-Broadway in the East Village and by 1971 opened on Broadway at the John Golden Theatre. Tony award winner Kristin Chenoweth and Roger Bart starred as Sally and Snoopy in the 1998 revival and both won a Tony Award for their respective roles.
“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” invites the kid in all of us into the world of Charlie Brown, his dog Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang for a fast paced, lighthearted musical, guaranteed to please audiences of all ages. Featuring musical numbers such as “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Schroeder,” and “Happiness,” this musical is guranteed good time for the whole family.
“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” is a musical that can relate to most generations,” said Thom Culcasi, theater teacher at Adelson Educational Campus. “Most of our students and their parents grew up watching the beloved cartoon and we are pleased to present this free production to the community. Our musical will feature an alternating cast to give more of our talented students the chance to shine.”
Adelson Educational Campus’ “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” stars Brayden Bramhall as Charlie Brown, Sarah Littman and Samantha Colwell as Lucy, Megan Larian and Tal Ziv as Sally, Yoni Mayer as Linus, Tal Derei as Schroeder, Nicole Derei and Riley Fulton as Peppermint Patty and Noy Benaloul and Bailey Fulton as Snoopy.
