THE UNDERGROUND REBELS were formed in the winter of 1997 under the name THE LOVING DEAD in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, by Kurt Frohlich. They changed the name to THE UNDERGROUND REBELS as their style of music has evolved into a new sound and image. The sound is very original and has been compared to Cheap Trick meets Jet and Queens of the Stone Age. All members of the band have toured extensively throughout Canada, The United States and around the world. Kurt Frohlich fronts the band singing and playing guitar. On bass is D who also sings. On drums is Todd Waetzig who also performs and tours with the world renowned Blue Man Group. Throughout the last 10 years, T.U.R. concentrated on writing material which was received with a great amount of enthusiasm. The result of that material was put on their 2000 Loving Dead release “Do It Again”.

Their infectious brand of hard rock power hook songs has gotten noticed. Their song “You”, was on rotation on Western Canada’s largest rock radio station, Vancouver’s C-FOX. T.U.R. have since relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they are making a mark on the local scene. They have appeared at The House of Blues and have headlined at The Joint in The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Las Vegas radio has played many of their songs from various CDs. The title track from their CD, “Do It Again” was featured by the NHL team The Edmonton Oilers, when they scored a goal.

T.U.R. 5 song CD, “The Ep” was released in the summer of 2004 and recorded by producer Michael Sak who is responsible for the first 5 Goo Goo Dolls Cd’s,. The entire CD is currently being used on the Ultimate Fighting Championship pay per view events and also at the live shows. “Why Ask Why” is the theme song for the opening for the hit show TapouT. Their latest CD release “Insult to Injury”, is a 12 song, straight ahead rock and roll powerhouse.

MTV’s world renowned sister television station, VH1 did a show on Kurt called AMBUSHED!. Kurt was hand picked out of hundreds of audition tapes by The Goo Goo Dolls to perform with them onstage at The Mandalay Bay Concert Center in Las Vegas.

The band’s live show is nothing short of spectacular. Like their childhood heroes, KISS, The Rebels aim to entertain as well as titillate their audience. As front man, Kurt, said about the band’s live show, “We want to make rock and roll a spectacle again. We put on as much of an arena-sized show as the clubs allow us to.” T.U.R. has performed with many acts such as, Motley Crue (at GM Place in Vancouver), Dokken (House of Blues, Las Vegas), WASP (H.O.B., Las Vegas), Bang Tango, and toured with Sebastian Bach formerly of Skid Row. They have opened for a wide variety of acts, from pop to thrash metal and have won over the crowds of all genres.

Counting Cars
Most people in Las Vegas bet with chips, but Danny “The Count” Koker bets with cars. Known from his numerous appearances on Pawn Stars, this Sin City legend walks, talks and breathes classic American muscle cars. When he sees a car he wants, he will do whatever it takes to get his hands on it—including making on-the-spot cash offers to unsuspecting owners. On the HISTORY series Counting Cars, Danny and his team restore, customize and sell cars in a hurry, scrambling to keep their Las Vegas shop in the black. From vintage Thunderbirds to classic Corvettes, toy cars to souped-up sidecar motorcycles, Danny and the crew of Count’s Kustoms will stop at nothing to find and flip the greatest rides of all time.
