Gary Leffew’s Bucking Ball & Other WNFR-Inspired Events
Tropicana Las Vegas is kicking off the holiday season with an array of nightly activities and culinary specials for the ultimate western lifestyle celebration in honor of the 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR). Cowboys and cowgirls from across the valley are invited to boot scoot for Gary Leffew’s Bucking Ball, plus enjoya series of additional experiences over the ten-day affair including the following:

Guests are invited to kick off the evening with a glimpse of the most prestigious rodeo event in the world with a special closed circuit viewing party, along with a WNFR-inspired pop up shop featuring cowboy inspired apparel and gifts for the rodeo enthusiast with hats, boots, belt buckles and accessories for purchase.
To adhere to the excitement of the rodeo, the true after-party will start which features live music from the legendary Texas Jamm Band featuring members of George Strait’s Ace in the Hole Band, as well as country recording artist, Scotty Alexander. In addition, guests will also be able to enjoy a rodeo arena style dance floor, drink specials, giveaways featuring exclusive offers including one of a kind six-string acoustic guitar autographed by multiple country stars and much, much more.
Bullfighters Only 2017 Las Vegas Championship

Bullfighters Only (BFO) was created to promote growth, popularity, and acceptance of freestyle bullfighting worldwide. Since its inception, BFO has evolved into a platform that serves to excite the western community, educate both the avid and casual fans, and present the sport to an entirely new audience. On December 7-10 and 13-16, Tropicana Las Vegas will host the Bullfighters Only 2017 Las Vegas Championship featuring a live showdown between man and beast. The schedule of events will be as follows (all performances begin at 2 p.m.):
Thursday, Dec. 7: Roughy Cup – a stand-alone competition featuring the top nine athletes in the BFO. The event has become a staple for BFO fans
Friday, Dec. 8-Sunday, Dec. 10: Qualifier Rounds – an open door for the sport’s rising talent, providing a chance to compete at the elite level. Nine of the 27 bullfighters competing will advance to the Preliminary Rounds
Wednesday, Dec. 13-Thursday Dec. 14: Preliminary Rounds – winners from each performance advance to Championship Saturday
Friday, Dec. 15: Wild Card Round – bullfighters will get one final chance to advance to Championship Saturday
Saturday, Dec. 16: The 2017 BFO world champion will be crowned at the completion of a 9-man semifinals, followed by the 3-man Hooey Championship Round

Restaurants Celebrate with WNFR-Inspired Eats

To commence the nightly experiences, all are invited to enjoy a multitude of food and beverage specials at select Tropicana Las Vegas restaurants, such as Oakville Steakhouse and Robert Irvine’s Public House. Guests are invited to indulge in dishes such as Cowboy Ribeye served with a loaded baked potato at Oakville Steakhouse, or a meat-filled Cowboy Pie featuring a cast iron chili-steak and red bean chili topped with sweet jalapeño cornbread and finished with a poached egg at Robert Irvine’s Public House. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment from 4-6 p.m. for the Bullfighters After Party inside Robert Irvine’s Public House on select days, including Dec 7-10, and Dec. 14-16.
