United Way of Southern Nevada’s representatives and board members received a proclamation from Nevada legislators announcing April 12 as the official United Way of Southern Nevada Day. United Way of Southern Nevada and United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra hosted a luncheon held at the Nevada Legislative building in Carson City on Tuesday, April 12. The proclamation recognizes United Way’s accomplishments of working together with community partners to improve lives through positive change in Southern Nevada.
At the luncheon, United Way representatives discussed the nonprofit’s programs, services and public policy priorities with key Nevada legislators.
Continuing its efforts to advance the common good, United Way focuses on providing quality education, financial stability and access to healthcare, to reach its goal of creating long-lasting change in Southern Nevada.
