UNLV MEN’S SOCCER HOSTS OREGON STATE, POLICE-FIRE DEPARTMENT GAME ON SATURDAY
Annual Alumni Game will start off the afternoon at Peter Johann Memorial Field
Saturday will be a day full of soccer activities for UNLV men’s soccer at Peter Johann Memorial Field. First up will be the UNLV Alumni game, starting at 3 pm, and that will be followed by the Guns ‘N’ Hoses Soccer Benefit Game, a contest between the Las Vegas Police and Fire Departments. That game between the local First Responders will kick off at 4:15, and a portion of the ticket proceeds from the day’s games will go to the Burn Foundation and the Injured Police Officer Fund. Capping off the night will be the UNLV Rebels hosting Oregon State of the PAC-12 at 7 pm.
Anyone with a purchased ticket for Saturday will also receive admission to the day’s activities, which will include: Bouncy houses, face painting, patrol cars and fire trucks, SWAT unit demonstrations, finger printing for the children, CPR demonstrations, special characters, arts & crafts, and free food and beverages, and will run from 3:30-8:30 pm. The Guns ‘N’ Hoses game will feature a ceremonial first kick by Nevada State Senator Ruben Kihun, while there will be a halftime show featuring the K-9 squad.
The final game of the night, UNLV vs Oregon State, will have free UNLV Soccer T-shirts for the first 100 fans, and a halftime contest as well.
