The series, scheduled for April 2-3 in Las Vegas, was canceled due to a pause in San Jose State’s softball program
The Mountain West announced Monday that The San José State’s three-game series at UNLV, originally scheduled for April 2-3, has been declared a “forfeit” by the Conference due to the circumstances involved.
UNLV will be awarded three wins and San José State three losses for regular-season title and NCAA automatic-qualification purposes only. According to the NCAA, this does not change an institution’s official overall won-lost record and will not be reflected in the Mountain West standings.
The Rebels return to action this week at Utah State, April 10-11.
