UNLV junior Teneka Ash has been tabbed the Mountain West Swimmer of the Week. This is the first career weekly honor for Ash, while it marks the second for the Rebel women’s squad on the season.

Ash, a Wakerly, Queensland, Australia native, swept her three individual events with wins in the 1000 free, 500 free and 200 fly to pave the way for the Rebels’ first victory over Nevada since the 2003-04 season. The Scarlet and Gray standout led from wall-to-finish in the 1000 free after posting a speedy 27.79 split to begin the race on her way to an altitude-adjusted finishing time of 10:26.92. She then capped off her trio of first-place swims against the Wolf Pack with altitude-adjusted times of 4:58.97 in the 500 free and 2:03.85 in the 200 fly.
