REBEL RELAY QUARTET BOUND FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ATLANTA
UNLV will compete in the 400 free relay Saturday at the 2022 NCAA Men’s Swimming Championships being hosted by Georgia Tech from March 23-26
The UNLV men’s swimming team will be represented on the big stage in Atlanta this week as its 400 free relay squad competes in the 2022 NCAA Championships hosted by Georgia Tech Wednesday (March 23) through Saturday (March 26) at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
The Rebels’ relay quartet – consisting of sophomore George Ratiu alongside seniors Bryan Chavez, Richard Szilagyi and Reece Hemmens – hits the pool in the national championship meet’s final event during Saturday’s finals session at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET. UNLV enters the competition ranked 19th nationally in the 400 free relay with a qualifying time of 2:50.70, which set a conference & school record at last month’s WAC Championships.
Fans can follow the action via broadcast on ESPN3 with a service subscription, as well as through the NCAA’s live results link. Final results will be posted on UNLVRebels.com.
REBEL RELAYS RETURN TO NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS: This marks the first time the Scarlet and Gray men’s squad will swim in the 400 free relay at the NCAA Championships since 2015 when the meet was held in Iowa City, Iowa, at the University of Iowa’s CRWC Natatorium.
