The Smith Center for the Performing Arts offers free, guided walking tours of the world-class campus on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. highlighting its architectural accomplishments, artwork and historic overview. Tours last approximately 60 minutes and are limited to 20 patrons per tour. To register for a tour, please visit

Celebrate the holidays “mariachi-style!” “A Mari-Achi Christmas” brings to the stage a colorful and traditional Mexican holiday celebration full of seasonal songs, dance and festive merriment. Headlining the exciting extravaganza is the nation’s mariachi ambassadors Sol de México de José Hernandez. Hear Christmas favorites from the U.S. and Mexico and more. Formed in 1981, this twice Grammy®-nominated mariachi is a dynamic ensemble of 13 talented musician/vocalists who embody the spirit of Mexico, its people and musical traditions.

Charismatic conductor Bob Bernhardt returns for a boisterous celebration of the holidays including a special matinee performance.  The concert will include holiday favorites alongside orchestral and choral works including tasty gingerbread morsels from Humperdinck’s “Hansel & Gretel” and the sugarplum sweetness of the musical score of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker,” culminating in an audience sing-along.

Tony and Emmy Award-winning sensation Kristin Chenoweth will perform a special New Year’s Eve concert inside Reynolds Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m. The evening will feature Chenoweth performing an array of her most memorable songs and Broadway show tunes, including music from “Wicked,” “Promises, Promises” and “Glee.”  This unique night with the multitalented performer promises to take concert goers on a ride of laughter, heartbreak, thrills and great music.

The acclaimed singer Clint Holmes, named Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year three times, Singer of the Year four times and awarded the Sammy Davis Jr. Foundation award, performs a different show every month at Cabaret Jazz. Clint features a constantly evolving kaleidoscope of music, ranging from contemporary to jazz to Broadway. Showcasing the greatest songwriters from around the world, he creates a spellbinding evening of music that’s both live and alive.

Known as “The Healer of Hearts,” Danny Wright is one of today’s finest pianists and composers. Danny will play heartfelt favorites from his four Christmas albums in his holiday show “Just Wright for the Holidays.”

The acclaimed production returns to Las Vegas and continues the saga as the main character, Steve, is headed home to celebrate the holidays with his wildly dysfunctional family. Once he gets stuck at the airport with all flights canceled due to a storm, the chaos begins.
