Winder Farms Excels in the World Dairy Expo
Dairy Product Championship Contest

Winder Farms, Las Vegas’ “Farmers Market on Wheels,” outpaces the pack at the World Dairy Expo Dairy Product Championship Contest.  This year’s contest, sponsored by the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association (WDPA), received a record number of entries from throughout the United States. Judging was held on August 16 at University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Babcock Hall and August 17-18 at the Madison Area Technical College (MATC) Culinary School.
Winder Farms took second place in the White Milk category with its signature 2% milk and in the Whey Based Sports/Energy Drink with the recently launched Chocolate Milk Recovery Drink. With 705 entries competing in various categories this is the only judging contest of its kind in North America as no other national contest includes all dairy products.
“Our milk products have been recognized as one of the best for years, and now we are especially proud to add our recently introduced Chocolate Milk Recovery to Winder Farms’ line of award-winning dairy products,” said Mike Dutton, chief executive officer of Winder Farms.  “I would also like to congratulate our dedicated team for continuing to produce our world class products, they really deserve the credit.”
In 2009 Winder Farms took first place in the west and second place worldwide in the Lowfat Chocolate Milk category with its outstanding Low-Fat Chocolate Milk and second place in the Cultured Milk category with its Cultured Butter Milk.
