Wineaux to Toast Local Teachers and
Nurses with Exclusive Discounts

Wineaux, located at UnCommons across from the new Durango Casino Resort, will honor local teachers and nurses with a 15% dine-in discount during Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week from Monday, May 6 through Sunday, May 12.

The highly anticipated and newly opened “wine market, bar and escape” by James Beard Award-winning Chef Shawn McClain and restaurateurs Richard and Sarah Camarota will extend the discount to all teachers and nurses who present a valid employee badge. Gift cards are also available to purchase online here or in-person to thank your favorite teacher or nurse.

Menu highlights include smoked sturgeon rillette, with celery, chives and potato chips, priced at $19; poached shrimp roll, with a buttery brioche and grain mustard aioli, priced at $22; foie parfait, made with fig, kumquat, Asian pear and toasted hazelnuts, priced at $21; and a whimsical malted waffle with peanut butter and fig jelly, priced at $10.

Each bite is created to pair beautifully with Wineaux’s carefully overseen collection of wines, ranging from proseccos and chardonnays to malbecs and ports. Current offerings include a 2021 grenache blanc from the Delas vineyards of Côtes du Rhône, best as an apéritif with a floral aroma and subtle citrus notes that excite the palate; a 2021 Monferrato chiaretto from Villa Sparina, a light and refreshing rosé made from the rich barbera grapes of northwestern Italy; and a 2021 pinot noir from Calironia’s Cambria Estate Winery, their flagship red that balances firm, earthy textures with notes of berries and a touch of spice.

Wineaux’s intimate setting blends retail, lounge and bar décor, encouraging guests to explore wines whether they are exploring the shop’s robust collection, enjoying a small bite at the takeaway counter or discovering a new favorite at the tasting table. Wineaux’s distinct approach aims to provide a warm, holistic experience to anyone interested in taking a personal wine journey, from aficionados and collectors to casual enthusiasts and newcomers.

Wineaux is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday; and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. More information and reservations are available online at WineauxLV.com, on Instagram at wineaux_lv and Facebook at Wineaux.
