Dandelion Chocolate, the San Francisco-founded single origin bean-to-bar chocolate maker that sources the highest quality beans, will have a grand opening celebration with complimentary hot chocolate on Saturday, December 7th from 8:00am until supplies last. The soon-to-open chocolate cafe and retail shop is located inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas, and will be open seven days a week from 6:00am to 9:00pm. “On opening day, Dandelion will be sharing our European hot chocolate and handmade marshmallow with the community,” says Executive Pastry Chef Lisa Vega. “We’re making side bets on what will be the most popular drinks and eats here in Vegas.”

Vega is presenting an expansive menu beginning at breakfast time, including pastries such as the Banana Bread (Vegas exclusive), and Nib Scones, and a range of Ritual coffee drinks. All day long pastry treats such as Chocolate Chip Cookie and Oatmeal Cookie will be available. In the afternoon and evening Chef Vega presents dessert choices including a chocolate-covered Eclair (chocolate passion fruit) and Brown Butter Blondie (both are exclusive to Las Vegas), and Brownie Bite Flight (three types of chocolate); the pastry, treats and dessert plate offerings will be expanded in the new year. Not to be missed is Dandelion’s well regarded chocolate drinks program, beginning with the trio of hot chocolates: the classic Hot Chocolate, the Mission Hot Chocolate (spicy); the deeply rich European Hot Chocolate, and the frozen hot chocolate and iced mocha.

After The Millennium Tour 2019 had a successful run of sellout performances in arenas across the county, fans validated that R&B reunion tours are in popular demand and left many yearning for more.  On the heels of The Millennium Tour’s success, G-Squared Events announced plans on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, to return with The Millennium Tour next year.  This time, Omarion will be joined by fellow Face Off collaborator Bow Wow to relive their joint project back in late 2007.  The lineup is full of nostalgic fan favorites from the 2000’s including the Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Sammie, Pretty Ricky, and Soulja Boy.

 

For the last 20 years, Omarion has been a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.  With hit songs such as “Post to Be,” the singer recently reflected on his unpredictable journey in the music industry. “2020 is my 20th year entertaining. Blood, Sweat & Tears. Always giving you the best that I got. Thank you for growing with me,” he wrote.  In 2004, Omarion embarked on a solo career and released his debut album, “O” in 2005, which debuted at the top the Billboard 200 and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards.  His second solo album, “21” (2006), contained the hit single “Ice Box” which reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Omarion also has notable acting credits in films such as “You Got Served,” “Fat Albert,” “Somebody Help Me” and “The Proud Family Movie.”

 

Bow Wow is best known as a record-breaking child rapper known as Lil Bow Wow who captured the hearts of young girls worldwide.  Bow Wow’s released his debut album, “Beware of Dog,” in 2000 with hit singles, “Bounce with Me” featuring Xscape, “Bow Wow (That’s My Name)” featuring Snoop Dogg, “Puppy Love” featuring Jagged Edge, and “Ghetto Girls.”  Bow Wow also made his first movie appearance in “All About the Benjamins” in 2002 as a cameo. In the same year, Bow Wow made his debut as the lead role in “Like Mike.” He later began to undertake lead roles in movies, such as “Johnson Family Vacation” in 2004 and “Roll Bounce” in 2005. He also played a supporting role in the film “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” in 2006.  Bow Wow also appeared in five episodes of the television series “Entourage.”

 

The Ying Yang Twins debuted in 2000 and rose to mainstream popularity in 2003 collaborating with Britney Spears on her album “In the Zone” and with Lil Jon on “Get Low.” In 2004 and 2005, Ying Yang Twins became more popular with party singles “Salt Shaker,” “Wait (The Whisper Song),” “Shake,” and “Badd.” In 2008, the duo released “The Official Work” mixtape. In 2009, they followed with their “Ying Yang Forever” mixtape. Three months later, the duo released “Legendary Status: Ying Yang Twins Greatest Hits.”  The Ying Yang Twins were a fan favorite during The Millennium Tour 2019.

 

Lloyd is an R&B singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer and actor.  Lloyd embarked on a solo career in 2003.  In 2004, Lloyd released his solo debut single “Southside” and the single quickly charted on the US Billboard Hot 100 and became a Top 40 hit.  Lloyd had a television acting role in 2005 on the UPN show “One on One” and in 2019 he debuted his film acting skills as Gregory Williams in TV One’s original biopic, “The Bobby Debarge Story.”  In March 2019, Lloyd joined an all-star lineup of early-2000s artists for The Millennium Tour 2019, which quickly became one of the year’s most popular shows. 

 

Sammie is best known his hit single, “I Like It,” from his debut album, “From the Bottom to the Top” (2000). After taking a hiatus from the music industry to focus on school, the singer graduated from at age 17 in 2005. His second studio album, “Sammie” (2006) debuted at number 42 on the Billboard 200 chart. The first single “You Should Be My Girl,” featuring YoungBloodz member Sean P, peaked at number 26 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, while the second single “Come with Me” peaked at number 23 on the same chart.  In 2008, Sammie was featured on rapper Soulja Boy’s hit single “Kiss Me thru the Phone,” which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.  In 2012, he co-wrote the song “Next Breath” for singer Tank’s fifth studio album, This Is How I Feel.

 

Returning to The Millennium Tour 2020 stage, Pretty Ricky hails from Miami, Florida.  The group enjoyed its biggest success in the mid-2000s with their gold-selling albums “Bluestars” and “Late Night Special” and the platinum singles Grind With Me” and “On The Hotline.”

 

Soulja Boy is an artist, record producer, actor and entrepreneur. In September 2007, his debut single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The single was initially self-published to the internet, and later became a number-one hit in the United States for seven non-consecutive weeks starting in September 2007.

Runnin’ Rebels Open Mountain West Play Wednesday At Fresno State

After suffering its third overtime loss of the season at Cincinnati on Saturday, the Runnin’ Rebels will open Mountain West play at Fresno State on Wednesday, December 4 at 7 p.m. It will mark the earliest start to conference play for the Runnin’ Rebels in program history.


UNLV (3-6) opened the 2019-20 season with an 86-71 win over Purdue Fort Wayne then dropped three straight games vs. Power 5 conference teams (vs. Kansas State in OT, at Cal in OT and at UCLA). UNLV is 2-3 in its last five contests.

Junior guard Amauri Hardy leads three Runnin’ Rebels averaging in double-figure scoring with 17.7 points per game (3rd in MW), while junior forward Mbacke Diong is the team’s leading rebounder with 10.6 per contest (2nd in MW, 15th in nation). UNLV is under new leadership this year in head coach T.J. Otzelberger.

Fresno State (2-4) is 2-0 at home this season, but has lost its last two contests: a neutral-site game vs. Saint Mary’s (68-58) and at Cal State Northridge (73-72). Three Bulldogs are averaging in double figures in scoring, led by Jarred Hyder’s 15.6 ppg.

WHAT: This year’s Holiday Experience at The Park is beaming with bright lights and holiday cheer for the whole family, now through December 31. Guests of all ages will feel the festive joy with delicious holiday treats from vendors, live entertainment and a visit with Jolly Ole’ Saint Nick on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Vegas Golden Knight fans are also in for a treat when Santa Claus makes special appearances before each home game leading up to Christmas.

Formed in 1967, signed in 1971 and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon is a band where the main constant over the decades is a never-ending desire to give their all to their fans, year in and year out. Formed loosely in the late 1960s at college in Champaign, IL, REO (named after the precursor to the light truck) rode to gigs in station wagons, hopping from small gigs to even tinier gigs, just to get their name out. It worked, as fans quickly realized there was much more going on here than your average college party band.

By the early 1970s, the band’s unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording, jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. It carved a path that was eventually followed by STYX, Kansas, Cheap Trick and more. Platinum albums and freeform FM radio staples such as “Ridin’ The Storm Out” followed, set the stage for 1980’s explosive Hi Infidelity. REO rode the top of the charts with a RIAA-certified 22 million albums sold in the United States and 40 million around the globe, with a string of gold and platinum records and international hit singles, including “Take It on the Run,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling” and the platinum-certified “Keep On Loving You.”

PT’s Taverns will host “hoppy” holiday parties at 64 locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley, including PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, PT’s Ranch, PT’s Brewing Company, Sean Patrick’s, Sierra Gold and SG Bar, from Friday, Dec. 6 through Sunday, Dec. 22.

 

All PT’s Taverns holiday parties will include holiday buffets and punch, with several locations hosting themed events. PT’s Pub, located at 10940 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson, will kick off the festivities by hosting a “Mardi Gras in December” party with New Orleans themed food and drinks, starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. PT’s Gold, located at 61 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson, will host an ugly sweater and festive onesie contest, along with an all-you-can-eat holiday buffet and drink specials, starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12. The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales will make an appearance at The STRAT Hotel, Casino and SkyPod from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22. The legendary horses will culminate at the porte cochère of The STRAT.

 

The eight-horse hitch will be harnessed and hitched to the famous Budweiser red beer wagon and will be available for guests to view and for photo opportunities. While the Clydesdales are at The STRAT, Bud Light and Michelob ULTRA beers will be available for $3 at BLVD & MAIN Taphouse, located on the main casino floor.
