CVT Releases New & Updated Tent Series Just In Time for the Holidays

IN TIME FOR HOLIDAY SEASON, CASCADIA VEHICLE TENTS (CVT) RELEASES NEW AND UPDATED TENT SERIES
CVT formally announces new accessories including bed sheets, custom sleeping bags and pet product line

CVT, one of America’s most recognized rooftop tent manufacturers, is gearing up for the holiday season with the release of new tents including the Hybrid, Mt. Hood, Alpha and Black Series Max. Updated versions of the Baker and St. Helens series are also now available for outdoor adventurers to enjoy.

Hybrid CVT Tent

Always adding and expanding offerings, CVT recently released an all-new Hybrid series, an exciting cross between a soft and hard shell tent that incorporates the best of both worlds. With the fold-out design and amenities of a soft shell plus the utilitarian function of a hard shell with crossbars, the Hybrid features a woven aluminum honeycomb floor and a cozy memory-foam mattress.

Embodying function and design, the Mt. Hood boasts one of the thinnest profiles available with the widest variety of options. While taking only one minute to set up, the low-profile clamshell enables campers to bring along additional equipment up to 150 pounds and has an optional platform rack to customize load-carrying capabilities.

CVT Alpha

CVT partnered with The Bush Company to bring the all-new Alpha and Black Series Max to the U.S. market. Designed and manufactured in South Africa, the Alpha Clamshell Rooftop Tent brings together The Bush Company’s expertise in aluminum manufacturing with first-hand experience in overlanding and safari adventuring to deliver an innovative and proven product that is unrivaled in its quality, simplicity and practicality. The Black Series Max edition features a double action opening roof, offering the option to open the tent as a clamshell or open the second roof, providing ample room at the rear and front of the tent. With a setup and pack down time of less than two minutes, this tent is the ultimate in comfort and convenience.

Also new this year are updated releases of CVT’s popular Mt. Baker and St. Helens series. Mt. Baker boasts the simplest deployment and lightest weight amongst CVT hard shell tents, providing the highest value for cost. With a sleeping space comparable to a full-sized bed, Mt. Baker tents make a perfect nest for any couple. St. Helens is an aerodynamic and stylish option for those who prefer ease without forfeiting security. The design provides a comfortable space to sit up and play card games on a rainy day, and features an interior equipped with a ceiling net plus and a portable pocket system that can be placed in different locations, providing numerous storage spots.

CVT accessories include the K9 Polar Jacket and Comfort Bags

In addition to new tents, holiday shoppers can also enjoy CVT’s new 2020 collection of bed sheets and custom fit sleeping bags, sized to fit the footprint of CVT’s rooftop tents. For furry friends, CVT has a new line of reflective leashes, harnesses, cooling vests and more.

CVT recently opened its third retail showroom and adventure center in the U.S., located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Featuring 25,000 square feet of warehouse and showroom space, CVT’s newest location was established to accommodate customers across the Southwestern region with sales, installation, maintenance, warranty replacements, product demos and all customer service needs. With additional showroom and adventure centers in Bend, OR and Chattanooga, TN, CVT has future plans to open a fourth location in the Northeast in 2022 to service all four corners of the country.

DIN TAI FUNG DEBUTS IN LAS VEGAS AT ARIA RESORT & CASINO

NOW OPEN: DIN TAI FUNG DEBUTS IN LAS VEGAS AT ARIA RESORT & CASINO

Acclaimed Xiao Long Bao and Noodle Hotspot Handmakes 10,000 Dumplings Daily on Las Vegas Strip

Din Tai Fung, the highly coveted dumpling and noodle hotspot celebrated from Taipei to LA for perfecting the art of the Xiao Long Bao, has debuted its first Las Vegas venue at ARIA Resort & Casino.

“It is an exciting moment to see my grandfather’s humble dream now in lights on the iconic Las Vegas Strip,” said Aaron Yang, Vice President of Din Tai Fung Restaurant Group. “For nearly five decades, we’ve meticulously honed our culinary techniques to ensure every Din Tai Fung guest experiences the same Xiao Long Bao perfection my grandfather introduced in 1972, regardless of where they are in the world. As we open our doors in Las Vegas, I know he is as proud as we are to welcome the millions of people who visit this city each year to experience Din Tai Fung at ARIA.”

A lively show kitchen serves as the venue’s signature design feature, spotlighting the craftsmanship of Din Tai Fung’s dedicated Xiao Long Bao culinary team and what goes into the intricate creation of 10,000 dumplings each day.

The legacy of Din Tai Fung dates back to Taiwan 1972 when Mr. Bing-Yi Yang pivoted his simple cooking oil shop to focus on the increasingly popular soup dumplings. Revered for its attention to detail, Din Tai Fung caught the attention of Japanese tourists, launching a worldwide dumpling empire that now stretches across 13 countries. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the concept’s expansion to the United States, where it has developed a loyal following including late Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Gold who once described the Xiao Long Bao as “small miracles.”

President & Chief Operating Officer of ARIA Steve Zanella said, “It is an honor to bring Din Tai Fung to Las Vegas. Their mastery of dumplings and noodles has captivated people around the world for decades, so to be able to build a Din Tai Fung here at ARIA is a wonderful opportunity. We cannot wait to introduce our guests to their new favorite craving.”

MGM Resorts International Chief Hospitality Officer Ari Kastrati said, “We are excited to welcome the legendary Din Tai Fung to ARIA’s culinary portfolio. Din Tai Fung is celebrated worldwide for its exceptional cuisine and high level of service, making it a perfect marriage with ARIA.”

A Taste of Taiwan

Din Tai Fung offers an extensive Taiwanese dining experience with a selection of delicately crafted dumplings, bright and crisp vegetable dishes, freshly made noodles and more.

  • Appetizers and Vegetables – Din Tai Fung features an assortment of appetizers and vegetable dishes that pair perfectly with noodle dishes or dumplings. The Cucumber Salad is light and refreshing with a hint of spice while the Sauteed String Beans with Garlic entice with a crisp and flavorful bite. Coated in a house-made sauce, the tender Sweet & Sour Pork Baby Back Ribs are a flavorful take on a classic Shanghainese dish.
  • Dumplings – The famed Xiao Long Bao are made with the highest-quality Kurobuta pork and broth that bursts upon first bite, fragranced with aromas of fresh ginger and green onion. Din Tai Fung also features Truffle and Blue Crab varieties of its Xiao Long Bao. Other popular dumpling offerings include the Jidori Chicken Dumplings filled with Jidori chicken and sweet onions; and the Vegetable & Mushroom Dumplings made with glass noodles, bok choy, dried bean curd and shiitake mushrooms.
  • Noodles, Soups and More – Noodle lovers can enjoy an array of options including the umami-packed Shrimp Fried Noodles or a vegetarian-friendly bowl of Noodles with Sesame Sauce. The traditional Braised Beef Noodle Soup is cooked for hours to bring out its mildly spicy and aromatic flavors. A fan favorite is the Jidori Chicken Wontons with Spicy Sauce topped with garlic and green onion.
  • Desserts – Din Tai Fung’s signature dessert is its Chocolate Xiao Long Bao, a twin to the soup dumpling but filled with premium chocolate lava. The Red Bean Bun is a classic choice featuring a soft, fluffy bun filled with smooth and sweet red bean paste.
  • Cocktails – Din Tai Fung at ARIA features a cocktail program unique to the brand with drinks that meld Taiwanese beverage culture with the creative edge of Las Vegas mixology. A highlight of the program is the seasonal boba cocktail, which will offer new takes throughout the year. For fall, guests can enjoy the Spiced Boba with dark rum, ginger syrup, half and half, black tea, and two dashes of bitters.
  • Design – For Din Tai Fung, ARIA preserved a beautiful space designed by Bentel & Bentel. Featuring a soaring 40-foot glass wall delivering spectacular views of Vdara’s architecture and Nancy Rubins’ “Big Edge” art installation, the space is flooded with natural light. Din Tai Fung’s dining space is punctuated with cliffs made from hundreds of stacked stones and paintings from Parker Ito that originally debuted at Art Basel. The works intertwine Ito’s Japanese heritage with his experiences in Las Vegas, while depicting his unconventional studio practice utilizing photography, painting and printmaking techniques.

Din Tai Fung at ARIA is located on the casino floor, adjacent to Lift Bar, and is open nightly from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended. For more information and to make a reservation prior to arrival, visit Din Tai Fung’s website.

HOPE MEANS NEVADA ANNOUNCES RISING HOPE: FREE VIRTUAL FESTIVAL TO RAISE AWARENESS AROUND MENTAL HEALTH, TEEN SUICIDE, NOV. 7

Hope Means Nevada, the community-based non-profit focused on eliminating youth suicide in the state, announces Rising Hope, a free statewide virtual festival to raise awareness of how mental wellness saves lives and help those struggling with mental illness find resources and community. Rising Hope will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is made possible thanks to community sponsors including Anthem Nevada Medicaid, Bank of America, Compassionate Las Vegas, Zappos, Subaru of Las Vegas, Silver Summit, Raiders Foundation, NV Energy and the Problem Gaming Center.

Rising Hope will be Emceed by comedian Jeff Civillico and UNLV freshman student Valerie Almirola, with programming designed to engage teens, their parents, families, counselors and anyone else who wants to learn more about how to safeguard their own mental health and that of their friends and loved ones. The four-hour schedule will feature a fast-paced mix of frank mental health discussions, performances by regional entertainers and luminaries such as local singer-songwriter ChloA Watson, Alex Aide from Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller, as well as teens discussing their concerns and sharing resources. Topics to be addressed include anxiety and depression, bullying, sexual orientation and peer pressure.

The impact of COVID-19 means people of all ages, including teens, may be encountering higher levels of stress, anxiety and depression—and Nevada’s teen suicide rate is already among the highest in the nation. In 2019, the Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention ranked Nevada eleventh in the United States for teen suicide, double the national rate. Suicide is the leading cause of death for Nevada youth ages 11 – 19 and 1 in 5 Nevada middle and high school students has considered, planned or committed suicide. Tragically, in just the first month of the current school year, the Clark County School District reported three teen suicides. Last year, no teen suicides were reported during the first month of the school year.

“When everything went online, we lost much of our social interaction. The only way to connect with friends was through social media or texting them,” said Caroline Edgeworth, Nevada eleventh-grader and Hope Means Nevada Teen Committee Co-chair. “People feel a lot more isolated. Rising Hope will be full of helpful resources to help teens and their families and friends constructively get through this difficult situation.”

Hope Means Nevada’s 65-member teen committee representing high schools around the state meets monthly to discuss volunteer activities and ways to engage. Co-chaired by Edgeworth and her tenth-grade sister Lauren Edgeworth, the teen committee has been involved in developing the content for the Rising Hope virtual festival.

“Although the Rising Hope Festival is focused on teens, the programming is for all ages,” said Hope Means Nevada Co-Founder, Julie Murray. “Mental health problems can affect anyone, and we are here to support each other and save lives. One death is one too many.”

A full schedule of the Rising Hope festival, as well as instruction on how to participate, is available here: https://hopemeansnevada.org/rising-hope-festival.

To celebrate, Topgolf released a new, limited-edition “Angry Birds Sauce,” and has teamed up with former pro football star Roddy White and world-renowned entertainer Ludacris to share a celebratory dance in which Guests can partake while playing the Angry Birds game at Topgolf.

The Angry Birds game, which uses Topgolf’s Toptracer ball-tracing technology, is family-friendly and perfect for all ages and skill levels to enjoy. Just like the physics-based challenges in the Angry Birds mobile games, Guests will use Angry Birds characters as golf balls to smash down structures, defeat pigs, and earn as many points and stars as possible. Once you hit your golf ball, which will be the Angry Birds character Red or Bomb, they will take flight in hopes of causing mayhem. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

In the spirit of having fun at Topgolf, Guests are encouraged to celebrate after a sensational shot with “The Angry Birds Dance.” The dance is an easy-to-do celebration featuring moves inspired by the actual Angry Birds characters, with some extra flare and moves weaved in. To give Guests a proper understanding of the celebration, Topgolf enlisted the help of two Atlanta legends: Roddy White, who spent his entire career as a “bird” himself playing for Atlanta, and acclaimed actor and rapper Ludacris, who can’t wait to see what dance moves Topgolf Guests deliver.

“As a former wide receiver, I know a thing or two about celebrations, having made it to the endzone plenty in my career. However, I haven’t really had a chance to take that off-the-field, so I’ve had a great time doing this with Topgolf and Angry Birds,” said Roddy White. “I think celebrations after golf shots should become the new thing. After getting in a rhythm with the game, I think we nailed the Angry Birds Dance and am glad that Ludacris came around as a champion of it as well.  I’m excited to see folks at Topgolf venues across the nation put their own spin on the dance.”

Topgolf Guests are encouraged to join in on the dance craze and post videos doing the dance to social media. If Guests tag @topgolf and use #AngryBirdsDance, there could be a surprise that ends up in their inbox!

Topgolf Guests can also experience this partnership via their tastebuds with a new “Angry Birds Sauce,” available for a limited time at venues nationwide. The sauce builds on Topgolf’s house ranch by mixing in a hint of garlic and becomes “angry” with the addition of habanero sauce. This limited-edition spicy sauce is perfect for dipping Topgolf fries, tots or cheesy macaroni bites and serves as a great condiment alternative to popular menu options, like burgers, sandwiches and more!

“The Angry Birds partnership is a great example of our work to bring people together for engaging and innovative experiences,” said Topgolf Chief Executive Officer Dolf Berle. “We can’t wait for both ourlongtime fans and those visiting Topgolf for the first time to enjoy everything the Angry Birds launch has to offer – from the gameplay, to the Angry Birds Sauce, to our new dance craze. It is truly a game-changer for our brand that our Guests won’t want to miss.”

Angry Birds, developed and published by Rovio Entertainment, started as a popular mobile game in 2009 and has since evolved into one of the world’s most loved entertainment brands, covering games, blockbuster movies, animated series, location-based entertainment and more. In total, Angry Birds mobile games have been downloaded over 4.5 billion times.

Angry Birds at Topgolf will be available at all U.S. Topgolf venues with Toptracer technology. To learn more, please visit https://topgolf.com/us/angrybirds/.

Circa’s Victory Burger & Wings Co. in Vegas Reveals All-Star Menu

CIRCA’S VICTORY BURGER & WINGS CO. IN VEGAS REVEALS
ALL-STAR MENU

New Concept from Founding Family of American Coney Island to Feature Massive Burgers, Hearty Wings, Indulgent Milkshakes and Premier Views of World’s Largest Sportsbook

Get ready burger and sports fans! Victory Burger & Wings Co. officially opens at Circa Resort & Casino on October 28, bringing Downtown Las Vegas an array of indulgent gameday fare and premier views overlooking the world’s largest sportsbook.

Created by the founding family of American Coney Island – the 103-year-old Detroit staple known for inventing the Coney Dog – Victory Burger & Wings Co.’s concept started with notes on a napkin during a 2017 bar side conversation between owner Chris Sotiropoulos and Circa’s CEO Derek Stevens. The new eatery will be defined by massive burgers, hearty wings and photo-worthy milkshake

“Great food and sports go hand in hand. At Victory Burger & Wings Co. we’re giving you the best of both – a fun, high-energy space with prime sports watching from every vantage point, and an incredible menu that will stay on your mind long after the game is over,” said Chris Sotiropoulos, co-founder of Victory Burger & Wings Co. “When you visit, you’ll see that we put our heart into every detail of this experience.”

Victory Burger & Wing Co. will be operated by a brother and sister team made up of Sotiropoulos and Grace Keros, the third-generation owners of American Coney Island. After partnering with Stevens to bring the Detroit eatery’s first out-of-market location to the D Las Vegas, the duo worked closely with Stevens to develop the groundwork for Victory Burger & Wings Co.

Keros said, “We did not take the challenge lightly when Derek asked us to create this new concept. Over the past few years, we’ve really perfected our menu, and it’s going to absolutely blow your mind. From our top-secret burger blend to our epic sauces, you will love every bite and come back for more.”

Featuring an industrial design with exposed brick and rustic colors, Victory Burger & Wings Co. will deliver an all-star sports bar atmosphere with sightlines of Circa’s 78-million-pixel sportsbook screen and 16 TVs throughout the space so patrons don’t miss a moment of gameday action.

Sotiropoulos continued, “The good news: we’re broadcasting major sports every day of the week, so you’ll always have an excuse to visit Victory Burger & Wings Co!”

Adding to the sports fanfare, as guests are watching their teams in action, they might spot some of their favorite podcasters or sports radio shows broadcasting from the center of Victory Burger & Wings Co. The venue will have its own designated radio booth, where a variety of major sports talk shows can conduct broadcasts and interviews throughout the week.

The following are highlights of the Victory Burger & Wing Co. menu:

  • Burgers – Signature burgers will be the star of Victory Burger & Wing Co.’s menu. Served on a caramelized potato bun, guests can customize their burger with a either a beef patty made with a proprietary blend of Angus beef, short ribs and brisket; or select chicken breast, ground turkey or the meatless Impossible Burger. The six signature burgers will include:
    • The Victory Burger, doused in top-secret Victory Sauce, cheddar cheese and thick-sliced bacon.
    • The Vegas Martini Burger, a twist on the Michigan favorite, the Olive Burger, layered with cheddar cheese and mixed with cream cheese, mayo and green chopped olives
    • The flavor-heavy Victory Loco Burger, featuring a fire-roasted combination of corn, poblano pepper and onion, pickled jalapenos, creamy blanco cheese sauce and sliced avocado
    • The Fondue Burger, covered in melted creamy blanco cheese over fire-roasted red peppers, artichokes and tomatoes
    • The BBQ Burger, topped with two strips of bacon, a breaded onion ring and barbecue sauce
    • The classic American Burger, reminiscent of a traditional cheeseburger
  • Wings – Victory Burger & Wing Co.’s jumbo chicken wings are sure to satisfy. Each order will include six breaded wings available in flavors such as Buffalo, BBQ, Garlic Parmesan and Red Chili. No wing is complete without a superb sauce, and guests can get their dip on with homemade ranch, bleu cheese, and jalapeno ranch.
  • Appetizers & Sides – Perfect for sharing, Victory Burger & Wing Co.’s appetizers and sides are a great way to kick off a game. Stacked as high as they can, the Nachos will be served with creamy blanco cheese, fire roasted corn poblano mix, jalapenos, topped with cotija cheese. The crispy waffle fries are sure to become a must-have and can be ordered in sweet potato form or smothered in cheddar and bacon. Other appetizers will include Fried Green Beans, Chicken Tenders and Onion Rings.
  • Salads – For lighter options, guests can try one of Victory Burger & Wing Co.’s salads. This includes the Victory Loco Salad, which mirrors the burger of the same name with fire-roasted vegetables, citrus chipotle ranch, cotija cheese and crushed chips; the Hand-Picked Greens, filled with roasted tomatoes, Spanish peppers, artichokes, and crispy onions with a cream basil-pesto vinaigrette; or a classic Caesar Salad.
  • Milkshakes – Tapping into childhood nostalgia, Victory Burger & Wings Co. will offer a variety of larger-than-life milkshakes. Paying homage to favorite cereals, the shakes include Captain Crunch Berries, Chocolate Cocoa Puffs and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Victory Burger & Wings Co. will offer counter-service ordering, along with the option to place orders via iPad from the sportsbook.

The restaurant will join several original concepts at Circa, including steakhouse Barry’s Downtown Prime from renowned Chef Barry S. Dakake; Saginaw’s Delicatessen from fellow Detroit restaurateur, Paul Saginaw; 8 East from Downtown Las Vegas’ Dan Coughlin; and Carolina-style barbecue from Chef Rex Bernales.

Station Casinos Announces $160,000 Donation to The Public Education Foundation and Three Square Food Bank to Support Las Vegas’ Children

STATION CASINOS ANNOUNCES $160,000 DONATION TO THE PUBLIC
EDUCATION FOUNDATION AND THREE SQUARE FOOD BANK TO
SUPPORT LAS VEGAS’ CHILDREN

Station Casinos announced the donation of $160,000 to support both The Public Education Foundation’s distance learning initiatives and Three Square Food Bank’s “BackPack for Kids” childhood nutrition program. The donation exemplifies Station Casinos’ ongoing commitment and partnership to both organizations. This year marks the 20-year anniversary of Station Casinos’ “Smart Start” school program that supports some of the Clark County School District’s most in-need schools.

“The education, safety and wellbeing of our community’s citizens is always top of mind for Station Casinos, especially when it comes to the valley’s children,” said Bob Finch, Chief Operating Officer for Station Casinos. “During these trying times, our commitment to the community is stronger than ever and these funds will ensure that our Smart Start teachers and students are receiving the resources and nutrition they need to succeed.”

Three Square Food Bank

Station Casinos’ contribution of $50,000 will benefit Three Square’s BackPack for Kids program. One in three children in Southern Nevada is now living in a food-insecure household and during the school year, thousands are eligible for free and reduced-price meals through the Clark County School District. BackPack for Kids provides bags of nutritious, single-serving, ready-to-eat items to children who might otherwise go without on weekends, long breaks from school and during the summer months. This program is one of several under Three Square’s umbrella of childhood nutrition programs.

“Inadequate nutrition in childhood has been shown to have a debilitating effect on a child’s cognitive function, often leading to underperformance in school and lower academic achievement,” said Three Square Food Bank President and CEO Brian Burton. “Thanks to the incredible support from Station Casinos, Three Square is able to provide additional meals to children in need, ensuring they have the energy needed to continue growing and learning on weekends or long breaks from school.”

The Public Education Foundation

Station Casinos’ $110,000 contribution to The Public Education Foundation will help some of CCSD’s most at-risk schools participate in pioneering programs developed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic so teachers and parents can succeed in a digital learning environment.

The 11 elementary schools in the Smart Start program will have the opportunity to have parents participate in The Foundation’s virtual Family Learning Program, which provides parents with three weeks of instruction on commonly used technology platforms such as Canvas and Clever to close the digital divide faced by some parents. The program also provides tools to support student learning at home, and also how to work with their children on social-emotional concerns that are increasingly occurring as students learn at home.

The schools also will have the opportunity for teachers to participate in The Foundation’s new Digital Leadership Institute, which provides training on best practices to successfully engage students and families in distance learning. The program helps teachers create a child-focused online culture that promotes rigorous application of academic standards to real-world tasks. The Digital Leadership Institute also provides strategies and tools for effective communication in an online environment.

“We are grateful to Station Casinos for their long-term commitment to our public schools,” said Judi Steele, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Public Education Foundation. “This donation allows us to strengthen the home-school connection at a time when it is needed most.”

About The Public Education Foundation

The Public Education Foundation (The Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded nearly 30 years ago by leaders from the public and private sectors who believed that improving our public schools was too big a task for a school district to take on alone. The Foundation’s mission is to improve student achievement by creating transformational change in teaching, learning, and educational leadership. At any given moment, thousands of Nevada’s children, families, and educators are benefiting from resources that The Foundation has strategically invested in schools, classrooms, and communities. Our flagship programs include the Leadership Institute of Nevada, which offers leadership academies and summits for high-achieving teachers and administrators; a collaboration with the community to award more than $2.8 million in scholarships each year; an innovative family engagement program that coaches parents how to support their children in school, especially utilizing digital learning; and the Teacher EXCHANGE®, a reuse and surplus resource center that provides much-needed new and gently used school supplies and materials for teachers.

About Three Square Food Bank

Three Square is Southern Nevada’s only food bank and largest hunger relief organization, serving Las Vegas and all of Clark, Lincoln, Esmeralda and Nye counties. Since opening in 2007, Three Square has provided more than 385 million pounds of food to hundreds of thousands of people in need and earned a reputation as one of the most efficient and effective food banks in the country. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Three Square immediately implemented a disaster response plan to answer sudden school and business closures, drastic declines in retail food donations, social distancing limitations on volunteer efforts, reduced on-site staff support, and the need for low-contact food distributions. Within days, Three Square had increased food distribution by 250,000 meals a week and increased the capacity of its Call Center to refer Southern Nevadans to available food resources, social services, and unemployment benefits. While Three Square’s COVID-19 relief efforts have superseded regular programs and operations for the foreseeable future, it is more committed than ever to its mission of providing wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. Three Square is a member of the Feeding America network of food banks. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Debuts Exclusive Dining Experience, The Chef’s Table, at Scarpetta

THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS DEBUTS EXCLUSIVE DINING EXPERIENCE, THE CHEF’S TABLE, AT SCARPETTA

Reservations are now available for the interactive culinary affair beginning Monday, Oct. 19

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is thrilled to announce the launch of the Chef’s Table at Scarpetta, an immersive, private dining experience centered in timeless Italian tradition. Beginning Monday, Oct. 19, parties of up to six guests can make reservations for the exclusive culinary affair online for $200 per person.

Nestled between a spectacular display of animated fountains and an unobstructed view of Scarpetta’s bustling kitchen, the private seating area invites guests into the warmth of an Italian family gathering around the Chef’s Table. Led by Scarpetta’s Chef de Cuisine, and Las Vegas native, Michael Vitangeli, tales and taste intertwine to create an unparalleled culinary showcase.

“My passion for cooking began as early as five years old, when my grandmother taught me to recreate her authentic Italian dishes and techniques in the kitchen,” said Scarpetta Chef de Cuisine, Michael Vitangeli. “The new Chef’s Table experience allows me the opportunity to welcome guests into my Italian kitchen and share the delicious and savory comfort of my family’s longstanding recipes. I believe food is meant to be approachable and comforting, and I look forward to inviting guests to gather around the Chef’s Table and join the Scarpetta family.”

For the Chef’s Table experience, Vitangeli indulges in age-old recipes helmed by his lineage with six courses presented alongside expertly selected wine pairings throughout the evening. Upon arrival, guests are warmly greeted by General Manager Mario Disi and escorted to the remarkable marble-clad Scarpetta bar where they will toast with an aperitif cocktail, specially crafted to commemorate the evening. Guests are then accompanied to the private, familial dining room and introduced to Chef Vitangeli where a beautiful six-course dance of storytelling and tableside presentation featuring hand-pulled pastas, fresh antipasti and burrata is enjoyed amongst friends and family. Menu highlights include Homemade Burratta made with prosciutto, roasted bell peppers, cracked pepper, fresh Crisini and super Tuscan olive oil; Scampi comprised of homemade pasta, smothered jumbo prawns, heirloom tomatoes, capers, Vermentino wine, roasted garlic and Salmoriglio; Porchetta, a roasted pork belly with apple mostarda and horseradish crema; with Homemade Canoli and Torta della Nona for dessert.

Scarpetta, located on the third level of The Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Tower, derives its name from the gesture of soaking a boot-shaped piece of bread in the remaining sauce left in the pot of the home kitchen. All facets of the world-renown Italian restaurant are ingrained in familiar gesture and indulgent pleasure, down to the very last taste. Chef Vitangeli’s understated, yet elegant, approach to Italian cuisine is expertly crafted with responsibly sourced ingredients and carefully prepared for a classic and approachable dining experience.
