Treasure Island Announces Additional Venue Reopenings; Seafood Shack and Gilley’s Restaurant Back in Business

Treasure Island Las Vegas announced reopenings of additional on-property venues, including restaurants Seafood Shack and Gilley’s Bar-B-Que. Seafood Shack will welcome guests to dine-in starting Thursday, June 25, while Gilley’s Bar-B-Que will open the following week on Thursday, July 2. Several other restaurant reopenings throughout the month follow the wider property’s initial reopening in early-June.

Seafood Shack will operate Thursday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m. It’s adjoining Mojito Bar will operate on the same days from 4 to 11 p.m. Specials offered include: $10 House Muddled or Mermaid Mojitos; $12 House Muddled Strawberry, Pineapple, Raspberry or Mango Margaritas; $10 You-Call-It drinks and $8 16 oz. draft beer. Guests can also enjoy several beer bucket selections for $30.

Gilley’s Bar-B-Que, opening its doors July 2, will operate Thursday through Sunday from 4 to 11 p.m. with a limited menu and its adjoining Saloon will remain open on Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Gilley’s Dance Hall remains closed until further notice.

Additional restaurants and venues that have reopened in the month of June include: Malena’s Yogurt Plus, which serves gourmet yogurt, waffles, crepes, ice cream sandwiches and cookies, and casual dine-in venue The Coffee Shop located just off the casino floor.

Treasure Island officially reopened on June 4, 2020 following its temporary closure amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Richardson and Frayer will co-host the virtual happy hour to connect with the JDRF community and Nevadans, sharing tips for making easy, low-carbohydrate recipes. The duo plans to create the Low Carb Lavender Lemonade, incorporating ingredients many people have at home. The recipe is as follows:

Master Ice Carvers Build Snowman on 108-Degree Day, Put Finishing Touches on Ice Lounge Décor

Rreopening day  at ICEBAR at The LINQ Promenade, including world-renowned ice carvers putting finishing touches on the immersive ice attraction’s ice décor, while staff built snowmen with “snow” created in the carving process next to the outdoor patio. The indoor ice attraction opens to the public on Friday, June 5.

ICEBAR’s ice experience at The LINQ Promenade encompasses 1,200 square feet kept at a frosty 23 degrees Fahrenheit. Made from 100 tons of ice shipped to Las Vegas from Canada and Minnesota, ICEBAR required 12 professional ice carvers working for three weeks to construct its dazzling ice experience filled with masterful ice carvings, dazzling projection mapping technology and other eye-popping decor surrounding a 10-foot-by-10-foot bar constructed entirely of ice.

The Lounge at El Dorado set to open late summer

 

El Dorado Cantina is excited to introduce the brand’s newest concept, The Lounge at El Dorado, set to open late summer/early fall 2020 inside Tivoli Village.

 

The Lounge at El Dorado will occupy the former Hamptons’ space and maintain the same hours of operation as the neighboring El Dorado Cantina. The two establishments will share the courtyard and patio space.

 

The combined 5,393 square foot space will have a total of nine booths between the first and second floors, which gives the room ample social distancing naturally. Other details such as the menu and cocktail program will be announced soon.

In need of a staycation? PTs Taverns have announced a second virtual tournament, the True Rewards Stir Crazy Staycation Weekly Video Poker Tournament, giving players a chance to win a two-night stay and $300 dining credit. Winners will have a choice between Aquarius Casino Resort or Edgewater Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada, or The STRAT Hotel Casino & SkyPod in Las Vegas.

 

The tournaments will be held from Monday, May 18 through Sunday, June 7 through True Rewards, Golden Entertainment Inc.’s loyalty program. The tournament is available to existing members through PT’s Entertainment’s mobile application.

 

The Stir Crazy Staycation Virtual Video Poker Tournament will be presented by PT’s 64 taverns in Southern Nevada, including all PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, PT’s Ranch, PT’s Brewing Company, Sean Patrick’s, Sierra Gold and SG Bar locations. True Rewards Stir Crazy Staycation Weekly Video Poker Tournament

The Stir Crazy Staycation Video Poker Tournament will be held by all of PT’s Taverns in Southern Nevada. Access to the weekly video poker tournaments are available exclusively on the PT’s Entertainment Group mobile application.

 

True Rewards members with either Epic, Legit or Solid status will receive 20 entries for each weekly contest. Those with Loyal and True status will receive 10 entries for each weekly contest. The first round of the video poker tournament will take place from Monday, May 18 through Sunday, May 24. The second contest will resume on Monday, May 25 through Sunday, May 31 and the tournaments will conclude with an additional round from Monday, June 1 through Sunday, June 7.

 

The top five highest scores each week will win a two-night stay at either The STRAT Hotel Casino & SkyPod in Las Vegas, Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada or Edgewater Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada and a $300 dining credit at the selected property. Higgins and Richardson will demonstrate how to create two at-home cocktails, incorporating ingredients many people have at home, to create two signature cocktails: the Vegas Baby Spritz and Jenn’s Cosmo. The recipes for each are as follows:

 

Vegas Baby Spritz
1 oz. Vegas Baby Vodka
6 oz. Berry Spakling Lemonade
1.5 oz. Aperol
.5 oz. Lemon Juice
Orange wheel, for garnish
Strawberry slice, for garnish

 

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, until shaker is cold. Strain into a wine glass. Garnish with an orange wheel and  slice of strawberry.

PT’s Taverns will reopen six taverns for dining, curbside pickup and delivery through DoorDash at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19.

 

They include PT’s Gold at 7550 Oso Blanca Rd.: (702) 840-3884, Sierra Gold at 6515 S. Jones Blvd.: (702) 221-4120, Sierra Gold at 6929 N. Aliante Pkwy.: 702.899.4307, PT’s Gold at 9363 S. Nellis Blvd.: (702) 432-3348 and Sierra Gold located in Reno at 680 S Meadows Pkwy.: (775) 850-1112.  The six tavern locations will be open daily from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m.

 

Bar seating and gaming machines will not reopen at this time. In addition to following the guidelines set forth by the state, PT’s has created additional health and safety protocols for the health and safety of its guests and team members.

Higgins and Wilkes, both Las Vegas locals, will host the virtual happy hour to connect with other Las Vegans and fans to share tips for making easy recipes.
