LADY REBELS ADD AALIYAH ALEXANDER TO ROSTER

The 5-foot-8 guard will become a Lady Rebel after playing three seasons at Eastern Washington

UNLV women’s basketball has received a signed commitment from Aaliyah Alexander to join the Lady Rebels for the 2024-25 season, head coach Lindy La Rocque announced today.

“Aaliyah is a winner! She’s a bright young woman that has a level of maturity that shows in her game,” said La Rocque. “She’s a strong physical guard that has the ability to score at all three levels and will add a dynamic presence to our guard group. We are very excited to get Aaliyah on campus and get to work!”

Alexander, a 5-foot-8 guard from Federal Way, Wash., played three seasons at Eastern Washington. With the Eagles, Alexander appeared in 83 games with 82 starters, averaging 12.9 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. This past season, she led EWU in scoring with a career-best 14.5 points per game and earned Big Sky First Team All-Conference honors.

She put up five 20-point scoring games this season and set a career-high with 31 points against Northern Arizona. Through the team’s 31 games this season, Alexander posted 26 double-digit scoring games. Alexander reached the 1,000 career points mark this past season at EWU and currently has 1,074 points.

Alexander joins Teagan Colvin and Ellie Guiney as incoming players for the Lady Rebels for the 2024-25 season.
