Circa Resort & Casino Now Accepting Room Reservations

LAS VEGAS’ CIRCA RESORT & CASINO NOW ACCEPTING ROOM RESERVATIONS FOR DECEMBER 28, 2020

Room & Suite Bookings for New Downtown Las Vegas Casino-Resort Live at CircaLasVegas.com

Circa Resort & Casino, Downtown Las Vegas’ first ground-up gaming resort since 1980, is now accepting reservations for its highly anticipated guestrooms and suites. Reservations can be booked at CircaLasVegas.com with the first rooms available on December 28, 2020.

“From the beginning, I envisioned Circa to be a resort that pays homage to Las Vegas’ vibrant past while introducing bold, modern elements; this will certainly shine through in our room and suite collection,” said Derek Stevens, Circa’s CEO. “Vintage details are combined with high-tech amenities to create an experience that’s uniquely Circa. I also love to throw a good party, and I can promise that every room and suite will deliver maximum entertainment.”

Designed by Steelman Partners and Circa’s Director of Design and Architecture Alice O’Keefe, Circa’s uniquely tapered 71-degree tower – the tallest building north of the Strip – will deliver unobstructed views of either the iconic Las Vegas skyline, surrounding mountains or the resort’s pool amphitheater in Circa’s 777 rooms and suites.

Setting a new Las Vegas standard, each of Circa’s standard rooms will have Serta Prestige king mattresses, including double-bed rooms. Flex options will enable Circa’s hotel staff to configure rooms to meet guests’ specific needs and coordinate bed arrangements for groups of varying sizes. All rooms will come equipped with a digital tablet that will act as a one-stop-shop for checking restaurant menus, booking reservations for Circa’s sportsbook and pool, and even controlling the room’s light settings.

Paying tribute to Downtown Las Vegas’ thriving art scene, and the city’s history and culture, rooms will display commissioned works by several local artists. Curated by DAC Art Consulting, the collection includes pieces by Jelaine Faunce, Deidra Wilson, Schinn Loong, Sarah Scherf and Adolfo Gonzalez with Yesco.

Circa will welcome guests ages 21 and over, marking the first adults-only resort and casino in Las Vegas.

A Glimpse into Circa’s Rooms & Suites Collection:

STANDARD ROOMS

Featuring clean lines and a vintage Vegas aesthetic, Circa’s standard rooms will range in size from 403 to 752 square feet with accents in shades of navy and sapphire, geometric-patterned carpets and deep walnut woods. Intelligently designed to maximize space, each standard room will offer a single or double king-size beds, multiple seating areas for relaxing or entertaining, nearly ceiling-height custom headboards, guest refrigerators and 55-inch flat-screen HDTVs.

Original artwork throughout the room will be a nod to the city’s present and past, including a whimsical Jelaine Faunce wall graphic in the bathroom that pays tribute to dancing dealers of retro Vegas. The throwback shot will be juxtaposed against modern design elements from rounded corners on bathroom mirrors and angled marbled sinks and showers, to high-tech touch-screen lighting and temperature controls.

Another distinctive accommodation will be Circa’s 360-degree rooms, featuring a creative layout resulting from the studios’ locations within the hotel tower. For this room type, a king-size bed will be placed in the center of the room and surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows and amenities, transforming the space into a loft experience.

SUITES

Sexy and well appointed, Circa’s suite collection will span 822 to 1,612 square feet and deliver the ultimate entertaining space. Draped in velvety midnight blues, the one-bedroom accommodations will feature spacious living rooms complete with floor-to-ceiling windows, sophisticated lounge-style furniture, a black quartz dining table and full wet bar with refrigerator. 65-inch HDTVs in every room will ensure sports fans never miss a game. The bedroom will include upgraded finishes; luxe bedding; and bathrooms with an oversized shower, water closet and double vanities. Select suites will feature modern-day Inova beds hidden in the walls that unfold to accommodate additional guests.

BUNK BED SUITES & PADS

For those traveling with friends, Circa’s high-style Bunk Bed accommodations will be the ultimate party spot. Available in 713-square-foot pads or 1,362-square-foot suites, the offerings will include living rooms with a wet bar and refrigerator, a charger port for each bed, couches with views of the skyline through sweeping windows. The suites will feature full dining area. Suites and pads will feature two plush bunk beds to sleep four people and large bathrooms. Each Bunk Bed Suite also will come with an expansive living room and bar area.

FOUNDERS SUITES

Commanding the resort’s top three floors, Circa’s six Founders Suites will be its grandest accommodations and feature the best views of Las Vegas from all of Downtown. Measuring an average of 1,831 square feet, these two-bedroom suites will be ideal for group celebrations. For drinks with a view, guests can enjoy a lavish bar with its own refrigerator and flat-screen TV located adjacent to floor-to-ceiling windows; and an entertaining space with ample seating, a second flat-screen TV and electric fireplace will be a perfect spot on gameday. Friends can gather around the suites’ black quartz dining room table beneath a custom chandelier for meals any time of day, whether steaks from Barry’s Downtown Prime or sandwiches from Saginaw’s Delicatessen. Art installations, upgraded finishes, a signature scent and separate powder room will complete the experience. Spacious bedrooms will include oversized bathrooms, separate vanity table, flat-screen HDTVs and seating with views of the city.

Circa will open the first five floors of the property on October 28, 2020, with the hotel tower debut marking the second phase of its launch.

The 1.25 million-square-foot property will usher in a new era of hospitality for the city, housing the world’s largest sportsbook with multi-level stadium-style seating and a capacity of 1,000, five original restaurant concepts, a pool amphitheater that will operate 365 days a year, a high-tech parking garage dubbed “Garage Mahal,” two-story casino and more.

Circa Resort & Casino to Open October 28, 2020

CIRCA RESORT & CASINO TO OPEN IN DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE ON OCTOBER 28, 2020

Opening Will Mark First Downtown Gaming Resort Built from Ground Up in Four Decades

oday, CEO and developer Derek Stevens announced his newest Downtown Las Vegas property, Circa Resort & Casino, will debut October 28, 2020.

Previously slated for a December 2020 launch, the 1.25 million-square-foot integrated casino-resort will open with its first five floors of amenities and state-of-the-art parking hub – Garage Mahal – ahead of schedule. Upon completion, the resort will have approximately 1,000 employees.

To achieve this expedited timeline, Stevens reallocated construction resources from Circa’s hotel tower to the first five floors. Slated for completion at the end of 2020, the tower will house Circa’s 777 rooms and suites starting on the eighth floor; room reservations will go live June 24. Guests looking to visit prior to the tower opening can reserve rooms at the D Las Vegas or Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, also owned by Stevens, and enjoy access to Circa’s pool in addition to its public amenities.

“Sometimes life throws you curveballs, and 2020 has been an unpredictable year for the entire world,” said Stevens. “However, thanks to the creativity and ingenuity from our partners at McCarthy Building Companies Inc. and Tré Builders, we can move forward on this accelerated path and have an opening unlike Las Vegas has experienced. We are excited to see what the future holds and to give visitors and locals something to celebrate.”

Located on the world-famous Fremont Street Experience (FSE), Circa will offer guests the following amenities on October 28:

  • World’s Largest Sportsbook – One of Circa’s signature features will be its three-story, stadium-style sportsbook, boasting a 78-million-pixel high-definition screen that will be viewable throughout Circa’s two-story casino with a capacity to host up to 1,000 guests. Operated by Stevens’ sports betting venture Circa Sports, the third floor will house a dedicated broadcast studio for Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN), offering bettors in-depth expert analysis daily from broadcasters, athletes and industry professionals.
  • Pool Amphitheater – Operating 365 days a year, Circa’s pool amphitheater will quickly become an outdoor entertainment destination for sports watching, special events and parties. Year-round, guests can catch the biggest games and major televised events broadcast on the 14-million-pixel screen presiding over Circa’s six temperature-controlled pools and two spas. Larger groups can partake in one of the pool’s Super Cabanas, which can host up to 50 guests. Situated on Circa’s fifth floor, the venue also will feature its own food & beverage venue and music from DJs and special guests.
  • Original Food & Beverage Concepts
    • Saginaw’s Delicatessen – From legendary Michigan restaurateur Paul Saginaw, Saginaw’s Delicatessen will be a family style deli. Saginaw is known worldwide for the iconic Zingerman’s Deli – an Ann Arbor institution he opened with partner Ari Weinzweig in 1982 – that is consistently ranked among the world’s best sandwich joints. Saginaw’s Delicatessen will mark Paul’s first venture outside of the Zingerman’s brand, and will include his famous Reuben and creative sandwiches, as well as delicatessen favorites such as matzo ball soup, onion rings, salads, latkes, chopped liver, breakfast specialties and more.
      • Barry’s Downtown Prime – As Circa’s premier steakhouse, Barry’s Downtown Prime will evoke vintage Vegas’ glamour and hospitality. From Chef Barry S. Dakake and his collaborators at Make It Happen Hospitality, Barry’s Downtown Prime will feature succulent steaks, seafood and a dynamic cocktail program. Barry’s will bring guests back to the classic cool of the 50s and 60s when great music and sounds of clinking martini glasses filled the air, the chef greeted you at the table, the bartender knew your favorite cocktail and everyone felt like a VIP.
      • Victory Burger & Wings Co. – Created by the founding family of the 102-year-old American Coney Island, Victory Burger & Wings Co. will be Circa’s high-energy sports bar. Helmed by Chris Sotiropoulos and Grace Keros, the lively venue will offer ½ pound burgers, crispy wings, unbeatable fries and an excellent beer selection. Guests can catch sports action on TVs throughout the space in addition to a prime view of the massive three-story screen in Circa’s sportsbook. Additionally, Victory Burger & Wings Co. will have its own radio booth, where fans might spot their favorite sports talk show conducting a broadcast on gameday.
      • Project BBQ – Local food truck Project BBQ will find a permanent home at Circa. Helmed by Chef Rex Bernales, Project BBQ will serve up authentic Carolina-style barbecue including mouthwatering pulled brisket, pork, chicken and more. Situated on Circa’s exterior, Project BBQ will spill out onto FSE with a built-in “backyard” for communal gathering. Guests can dine on picnic tables and sip cocktails from Circa’s outdoor bar as they enjoy spectacular light shows from Viva Vision overhead and live music from surrounding concert stages.
  • Two-Story Casino – Circa’s two-story casino will feature 1,350 slot machines and 49 table games.
  • Vegas Vickie Returns – Las Vegas’ beloved neon kicking cowgirl, Vegas Vickie, will make her highly anticipated return to Downtown Las Vegas as a must-see feature in the resort’s lobby. A Las Vegas landmark, Vegas Vickie first appeared on the dazzling Downtown landscape in 1980 and made headlines across the globe in 1994 when she married her neon counterpart, Vegas Vic. Fans thought Vegas Vickie was riding off into the sunset forever when Stevens removed her to make way for Circa’s construction, but after a fresh makeover, she’s back in action at the resort.
  • Garage Mahal – The first fully integrated ride-share hub conceived for a new gaming resort, Garage Mahal’s high-tech design and thoughtful features will make it the most convenient parking and transportation venue in the city, with a focus on an elevated level of service and safety. Clean and well-lit, Garage Mahal will spotlight stunning art installations throughout its nine floors. Uber and Lyft passengers will enjoy a seamless experience on the first floor, with easy access for valet and self-parking on additional floors, and a quick in-and-out format for drivers. An air-conditioned bridge over Main Street will connect Garage Mahal to Circa Resort & Casino.

Pan-Asian eatery 8 East from Downtown Las Vegas’ Chef Dan Coughlin will open in December 2020.

Paying homage to Las Vegas’ vibrant history, Circa will be a modern casino experience founded on the original principles of old-school hospitality. Fusing the glamour of vintage Vegas with modern luxuries and cutting-edge technology, guests can expect top-notch entertainment while enjoying honest, attentive and friendly service.

Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, the Plaza Hotel & Casino will again celebrate the Fourth of July with downtown Las Vegas’ only live fireworks show at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.

Staged from multiple locations on the Plaza’s roofs and towers, the spectacular fireworks display will be an amazing show for people downtown and visible for miles beyond. To allow for prime viewing of the fireworks and increased pedestrian traffic, Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for a limited time from Carson Avenue to Ogden Avenue.

“Hosting an amazing fireworks show that lights up the downtown sky for the Fourth of July has become a tradition for us at the Plaza, and this year is no different,” said Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino. “Whether you are downtown resident at home or a guest at the Plaza joining us for dinner at Oscar’s steakhouse or games on the casino floor, our Independence Day fireworks show is a great way to celebrate our country and an awe-inspiring sight for the entire downtown Las Vegas community to enjoy.”

The Plaza is offering two special getaway packages for the holiday weekend.

The Plaza’s Old School Fun package available online with promo code FUN20 celebrates the reopening by offering guests who book by Aug. 31 for a stay before Dec. 29 the lowest available room rates, $25 daily food and beverage credit, $75 “Sizzling Summer Bingo” match play and $10 free slot play as well as complimentary hotel room upgrade and early check-in / late check-out (both based on availability).

The Plaza also increased its American Heroes discount to 20 percent off prevailing rates for both weekday and weekend stays and expanded it to include all active duty military, veterans, police officers, fire/rescue members, first responders, medical / hospital workers and teachers. This discount is also available for online booking with promo code HERO.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Continues Commitment to the Local Community Upon Reopening

THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS CONTINUES COMMITMENT
TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY UPON REOPENING

The resort’s Giving Module features three new charitable beneficiaries for the slot ticket voucher program

In the wake of reopening its doors to the public, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas remains steadfast in its charitable initiatives with the introduction of three new charitable beneficiaries for its Giving Module program. Now live, guests of The Cosmopolitan have the option to donate to The Folded Flag Foundation, HopeLink and Las Vegas Rescue Mission when redeeming ticket vouchers on the casino floor.

The first of its kind on the Las Vegas Strip, The Cosmopolitan debuted its pioneering Giving Module in July 2019. The property’s charitable platform has garnered more than $37,000 through 172,695 donation transactions since its debut. In further support of the selected charities, The Cosmopolitan maintains its pledge to match up to $10,000 of all donations each quarter.

When guests generously choose to donate through the Module, the donation is then distributed to the selected charities. If guests choose not to donate, they will receive their slot earnings directly at the kiosk. In the past year, the average donation per individual was $0.21, with 12 percent of guests opting in to donate.

The Cosmopolitan remains dedicated in its mission to serve the local community through special care and focus to the veteran and active military community, diversity, learning and student enrichment. ABOUT GRAND CANYON LODGE – NORTH RIM
Grand Canyon Lodge – North Rim is the only lodging inside the National Park on the North Rim. Located at Bright Angel Point, the Lodge was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. The original Lodge was constructed in 1928 and burned in 1932. The current Lodge was rebuilt in 1937 using as much of the original structure as possible. Here guests may enjoy the quiet serenity of the North Rim while enjoying comfortable guest rooms and cabins. Our cabins were constructed in the 1930’s and 1940’s. While restrooms and showers have since been added, these cabins retain their original rustic charm. To this day, not one of the cabins has a television or radio. The Lodge Dining Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. It features regional cuisine; all-natural beef and poultry products are antibiotic and hormone free and the wine list showcases American organic selections available by the glass. Meanwhile the Gift Shop purveys Grand Canyon souvenirs, clothing and accessories. Free self-parking, bus, truck and RV parking are available. For more information about the lodge, visit www.grandcanyonforever.com or www.facebook.com/grandcanyonnorthrim.

MGM Resorts Releases Health and Safety Plan for Re-Opening United States Properties

MGM RESORTS INTERNATIONAL RELEASES HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
FOR RE-OPENING UNITED STATES PROPERTIES

Expert input, digital innovation and operational enhancements are at the forefront of
MGM Resorts’ “Seven-Point Safety Plan”

MGM Resorts Lead Health and Safety Advisor: Dr. Shannon Magari, Vice President of Health Sciences for Colden Corporation

MGM Resorts is working with Dr. Shannon Magari, ScD, MPH, MS as its lead health and safety advisor for this process. Dr. Magari is the Vice President of Health Sciences for Colden Corporation, an occupational health, safety and environmental firm. Dr. Magari obtained her Master of Science from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College and received her doctoral training and served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health – specializing in Occupational Epidemiology.

OVERVIEW: MGM RESORTS’ SEVEN-POINT SAFETY PLAN

The full report, including detailed protocols, procedures and operational enhancements can be found HERE.

These protocols and procedures focus on balancing the customer service guests have come to expect from MGM Resorts with the urgent need to apply knowledge about COVID-19 and adapt environments accordingly. This plan is being implemented at MGM Resorts’ properties throughout the United States, with additions and changes being made based on local jurisdictions.

MGM Resorts’ Seven-Point Safety Plan is as follows:

  1. Screening, Temperature Checks and Employee Training: MGM Resorts has implemented employee-screening measures to assess signs and symptoms of infection and whether the employee resides or cares for someone who has recently been diagnosed with the virus. Employees are currently and will continue to go through temperature checks before entering properties.

Guests will be asked to abide by a similar self-screening protocol prior to arriving and during their stay. Guests who have reason to believe they may have been exposed to the virus are strongly urged to follow CDC guidelines for self-quarantine and not travel. We will look forward to welcoming those guests once the self-quarantine period is complete.

  1. Mandatory Masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): All MGM Resorts employees will be provided and required to wear an approved mask when on our properties. We will also strongly encourage guests to wear masks in public areas and offer masks to any guests who need one, free of charge. Gloves will continue to be worn by employees who require them to do their jobs, such as food handlers and employees who clean public areas. Additional categories of employees required to wear PPE will be identified by medical experts.
    • Drink service: We will ask guests to minimize the amount of time masks are removed when drinking on the casino floor.
    • Eating: We will ask guests to refrain from eating on the casino floor to minimize the amount of time masks are removed.

  1. Physical Distancing: Six-foot physical distancing policy will be in place, wherever feasible, with floor guides serving as reminders throughout MGM Resorts properties. From time-to-time, six-foot distancing will be challenging – and in those cases, reasonable mitigating protocols will be implemented, such as plexiglass barriers or eye protection for employees. Plexiglass barriers will be installed in areas throughout casinos and lobbies, where appropriate, for the safety of guests and employees. Signage will be installed throughout properties to guide employees and guests on how to safely practice physical distancing.

  1. Handwashing and Enhanced Sanitization: Prior to property closures in March, MGM Resorts implemented increased and enhanced routine cleaning, based on CDC guidelines, with a focus on high-touch surfaces in common areas. We will continue using proven cleaning products in accordance with EPA guidelines for coronaviruses, bacteria and other infectious pathogens. Electrostatic sprayers will be used in many large areas to allow us to apply disinfectant more efficiently.

In addition, custom-built handwashing stations with soap and water, along with hand-sanitizing stations, will be readily available in high-traffic areas and with a visible presence. Signage will be installed to guide and remind employees and guests of the importance of proper handwashing protocols.

  1. Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Controls and Air Quality: MGM Resorts has always placed a high priority on air quality for our guests and has reviewed the operation of HVAC systems to identify additional opportunities to enhance their effectiveness. Rigorous measures in accordance with established guidelines to help mitigate the risk of virus transmission have been taken throughout our properties.

As scientific information becomes available about the virus, and as additional guidance from state and local authorities and our medical experts evolve, we will continue to review and adjust the operation of our HVAC systems, fully recognizing the important role they have in keeping employees and guests healthy and safe.

  1. Incident Response Protocols: MGM Resorts has protocols in place aimed at reducing the chance infection will spread. In the unfortunate event a guest or employee tests positive for the virus, we will activate incident response protocols to ensure the infected individual has access to medical treatment, exposed areas are thoroughly sanitized and, when possible, notify those who may have come in close, prolonged contact with the infected individual. MGM Resorts has medical and security personnel on staff to respond quickly in the event of an incident.

  1. Digital Innovations: MGM Resorts is reimagining several aspects of the guest experience through technology to transition current processes into contactless options for guests that eliminates or reduces the need for waiting in line.
    • Contactless Check-In: Guests will have the ability to complete the check-in process entirely themselves through the MGM Resorts mobile app. This includes the ability to process payment, verify identification and obtain a digital room key, all through a mobile device. If preferred, physical keys will be available through self-serve key encoders. Employees will be available for guests who prefer check-in without using their mobile device, while still maintaining a line-reduced environment.
    • Food & Beverage: Digital menus will be available to view on personal mobile devices via QR code. Virtual queues will be in place for guests when immediate seating is unavailable. Guests will receive a text message notification when their table is ready.
