Rock of Vegas Summer Concert Series at Fremont Street Experience

English rock band and one of the pioneers of rock music, Deep Purple, joins the stellar lineup of bands performing in the Rock of Vegas summer concert series at Fremont Street Experience. Renowned for hit songs like “Smoke on the Water,” “Highway Star,” “Fireball,” and “Speed King,” Deep Purple will rock audiences on Friday, August 15 on the 3rd Street Stage at  9 p.m. in fabulous Downtown Las Vegas.


Each year from May through September, Fremont Street Experience transforms Downtown Las Vegas into the hottest place to be with the Rock of Vegas free summer concert series; one of the most popular summertime events in Las Vegas featuring four months of rockin’ nightly entertainment, free headliner concerts and Viva Vision shows. This year’s concert series kicks off Sunday, May 18 with Marianas Trench and will also include a Memorial Day Weekend performance from hit pop-duo Karmin on Saturday, May 24 as well as 3 Doors Down on Saturday, June 14 and the Summerland Tour 2014: featuring EverclearSoul AsylumEve 6 and Space Hog on Friday, July 18. Deep Purple
English rock band Deep Purple is known as one of the pioneers of Rock music. The band got its start in Hertford, England in 1968 and released a trio of albums 1970-73 that catapulted them to the top in concert grosses and album sales around the world. Fremont Street Experience has added smash-hit recording artist 3 Doors Down to the Rock of Vegas summer concert series lineup. The band will rock audiences at Fremont Street Experience performing fan favorites such as “Here Without You,” “Kryptonite,” “When I’m Gone,” “Be Like That” and more as they perform a free concert on Saturday, June 14 on the 3rd Street Stage at 9 p.m.

“3 Doors Down first performed on our stages two years ago as part of the kick-off party for UFC International Fight Week. The band’s performance was so well received by fans on Fremont Street Experience that we knew an encore concert was in store,” said Jeff Victor, president at Fremont Street Experience. “We look forward to having them back, joining a truly great lineup of artists such as Marianas TrenchKarmin and the Summerland Tour already secured for the 2014 Rock of Vegas summer concert series. Fremont Street Experience’s Rock of Vegas concert series is adding more bands to its summer lineup. The headliner shows confirmed for July and August complete a concert series that is sure to provide a great alternative destination this summer. The free concert series will start the summer early with the first show set for Sunday, May 19 with Theory of a Deadman. Featured concerts on major holiday weekends include Fuel and Lit Memorial Day Weekend, Three Days Grace Fourth of July Weekend and Puddle of Mudd Labor Day Weekend.
