Insomniac Reveals Friends of the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts as the Official Recipient of the 2018 EDC Week Charity Initiative

Insomniac Reveals Friends of the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts as the Official Recipient of the
2018 EDC Week Charity Initiative

Yesterday (Tuesday, March 20), Insomniac surprised the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts (LVA) with a special ceremony announcing them as the recipient of this year’s EDC Week Charity Initiative. The student jazz band greeted guests at the LVA’s Lowden Theater, where Rich Thomas, Vice President of Content & Culture with Insomniac, shared the good news that the LVA, and its nonprofit counterpart, Friends of the Las Vegas Academy, would be the recipients this year.

“We were so impressed by the Las Vegas Academy and all the dedication and passion these students have for their art,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. “The entire school community fosters an environment of positivity, acceptance, and creative determination, and we’re honored to help further their careers in the arts with the funds raised from our fourth annual EDC Week Charity Initiative.”

The LVA is a nationally-recognized magnet high school serving approximately 1,700 students and is dedicated to providing students the opportunity to pursue a conservatory in the areas of dance, music, theater or the visual arts. Through the arts, the LVA promotes motivating, empowering and challenging each student to be academic, artistic and compassionate.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be the recipient of this year’s EDC Week Charity Initiative,” said Scott Walker, Principal of the Las Vegas Academy. “With the money raised from the initiative, we’ll be able to make such an impact in both our students’ education as well as within the arts community in Las Vegas.”

Since the program began in 2015, the annual charitable initiative has raised more than $350,000 for local Las Vegas charities, including Culture Shock Las Vegas, The Shade Tree and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada. Over the last three editions, Insomniac has curated an incredible offering of more than 150 once-in-a-lifetime experiences with some of the world’s top dance music artists that fans were able to bid on, with all proceeds going towards the chosen charity. Experiences have included pizza making with Zomboy, Exotics Racing with Marshmello, a proposal during Kygo’s set on kineticFIELD, a DJ lesson with A-Trak, and much more.

More information surrounding the upcoming EDC Week Charity Initiative will be released in the coming weeks. A limited number of GA and VIP tickets for EDC Las Vegas are available for purchase here. Seen partying at TAO the previous evening, model and actress Brooklyn Decker continued her friend’s weekend bachelorette celebration at LAVO Italian Restaurant on Sunday night. The group enjoyed Eggplant Parmigiano, Prosciutto Service, Chicken and Mushroom Ravioli, Spinach and Artichoke Pizza and LAVO’s Rose cocktails.

TAO at Village at The Lift with Moët & Chandon Nectar Imperial Rose and Stella Artois – NIGHT 3

TAO Nightclub had their third star studded night at Village at the Lift in Park City on Sunday night with Moët & Chandon Imperial Rosé and Stella Artois. Celebrities and VIPs came in flocks to escape the cold and enjoy the exclusive underground popup club. DJs Sinatra, Jesse Marco, and Theory performed their annual Sunday Funday Party while Kirill Was Here took photos of all of the action.

True Blood’s Joe Manganiello kicked off the night with an after party for his new stripper documentary: La Bare. Joes friend DJ Z-Trip came to do a special set for the party. The group included Joe’s girlfriend Bridget Peters, and his brother Nicholas Manganiello who is his producing partner.  Their group arrived early and danced throughout the night drinking out of their Moët & Chandon Nectar Imperial Rose Goblets.

Lindsay Lohan arrived with a group of friends wearing a trucker hat and a black T-Shirt. Seated at her table was DJ Julian Cavin who she is rumored to be dating. Lohan had a great time with friends including Ryan Rottman, hanging out at their table and making a quick cameo to the DJ booth.

Actress Shailene Woodley arrived to TAO Nightclub looking winter chic and casual in a scarf and UGGs. Woodley was having an amazing time drinking and dancing with friends including Shawn Caulin Young and Anastasia Griffith but was most excited to see Shiloh Fernandez. As soon as he arrived, the two hugged and were so excited to see one another. They spent the night dancing together at their table with their group of friends.

Also spotted were Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul alongside his beautiful wife Lauren. The lovebirds were in good spirits and hung out at their table all night. Adrian Grenier joined TAO after a day of snowboarding, ready to unwind with some friends. Rose McGowan came for her second night of the weekend dressed in black and white flannel and had a great time with friends. Holly Madison also came for another night with husband Pasquale Rotella dancing at their table and wearing a light up pink boa.

Jason Momoa and Geoff Stults were in good spirits all night and their table appeared to be having a lot of fun. They stayed late, drinking and partying with their friends and both men graciously posed with fans throughout the night.

Other celebrities in attendance included “Shameless” Stars Cameron Monaghan and Noah Silver, Lane Garrison, Chris Masterson, Alanna Masterson, Ruby Stewart, DJ Z-Trip, and Jeremiah Bitsui.

TAO will continue the party at The Village at The Lift through Monday night.

TAO Nightclub kicked off their weekend long party at The Village at the Lift in Park City on Friday night. Once again, guests eagerly lined up to enter the annual exclusive pop-up nightclub filled with celebrities and VIPs such as Kristen Stewart, Kellen Lutz, and Emile Hirsch.

Kristen Stewart arrived wearing a plaid shirt and black framed classes and was joined by her cast from her new movie, “Camp X Ray”. Lance Bass and fiancé Michael Turchin partied with Most Eligible Dallas’ Matt Nodgren and new girlfriend. Milles Teller brought his new girlfriend, but also partied with his sister (who enjoyed glasses of Moet & Chandon), and Holly Madison and husband Pasquale Rotella enjoyed a night away from the new baby looking very cute and cuddly with one another.
